KUALA LUMPUR: Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said, who was speculated to contest for the Wanita Umno presidency, plans only to contest for an Umno supreme council post.
The former Puteri Umno chief, who had denied talk that she would challenge Datuk Seri Rafidah Aziz for the top Wanita post, said she also felt it was inappropriate for party members to ask Umno president Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to step down.
“We should not disrespect our leaders by telling them they are no longer wanted. It is not Malay culture for leaders to be told to step down,” she told reporters after visiting the Central Market here yesterday.
tunku : azalina the apple polisher.well what she's trying to say is even if the leader is a rejected leader we should let him to continue because we should not disrespect our leader.what a brain azalina has. anyway,thebrain still good when she will not challenge for wanita chief post as everyone knows, she is not suitable the head WANITA and if she challenge rafidah she will lose big time.

It is n0t a malay culture either to have 'her type' to be in the cabinet!!! She is actually worried, if Pak Lah goes down, how could she maintain her big bunglow and a fleet of expensive cars in sect 12 Shah Alam!
She have no standing compared to kak fidah and sharizat!! The wanita will vote him ,oops sorry, her out of any post in wanita Umno!!
