Ku Li claims momentum for Umno EGM building up

KOTA BARU: Momentum is building among Umno’s 110 divisions to hold their respective extraordinary general meetings, said party veteran leader Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah.
He said more divisions were becoming bold in calling for changes in Umno following the massive losses in the recent general election.
“I think the grassroots are no longer afraid. They are bold in wanting changes,” he said.
He added that Umno began as a grassroots party and it was only fair for it to go back to the principle of listening to the voices on the ground.
If more than half of the 110 divisions hold EGMs and call for a national-level EGM, the party’s supreme council would have to consider the request.

tunku : if the transition is delayed najib's position will be in risk too.so najib better get up before the branches and divisions meeting in june or july.i really hope that umno divisions will be brave enough this time around.the egm for me is unlikely to happen as time is running fast unless they speed up the division's egm before the deadline in may.
