Mokhzani Told To Step Down AS SIC Chairman
"The post belongs to the government. As he (mokhzani) had left Umno, in principle, he has to relinquish the position,"said Ismail Sabri, citing SIC as a subsidiary of Malaysia Airport Holdings Berhad (MAHB) which is controlled by the government through Khazanah Holdings.
Ismail Sabri yesterday boycotted the launching ceremony of the Malaysia International Super GT held at the ministry.
By co-incidence, he chaired a post-cabinet meeting of his ministry in the same building.
Asked why he did not attend the ceremony,he said, "In principle when he (Mokhzani) left Umno because no longer has faith in the prime minister's leadership, he is also not confident of me as a minister appointed by the prime minister.
tunku : may be ismail sabri wants his son Dafi(akademi fantasia) to be the new SIC chairman. this means those who are not umno members can hold any position in government or any related government agencies etc. what a 'stupid cow' this minister is. what umno had to do with SIC chairman? if mokhzani joins opposition then i can understand the called made by this 'stupid cow' minisiter proxy of khairy jamaludin. the best part he boycotted the meeting which Mokhzani attended. he can attend function that opposition attends but not a partyless guy who attends it. that show the mentality of this minister. you are right ismail sabri, not only Mokhzani had lost confidence in pm and most of his ministers(especially the type like you) but we the public had lost in the HP6 kitchen cabinet of abdullah badawi.
Ku Li Suggests Election Of Umno Leaders Through Polls By All Members
In doing so, he believed, it could restore the party's image which had been dented following the March general election.
"We give back the power to the people by allowing them to choose the leaders at all levels through votes or other mechanisms," he told reporters after opening the Kelantan branch of the Council of Former Malaysian Elected Representatives (Mubarak) here Friday.
Tengku Razaleigh, who is also Gua Musang Member of Parliament, said Umno's 3.4 million members should be allowed to decide on the leaders in the party, at all levels, through votes.
He also suggested that the person be appointed for the post of the party State Liaison Committee Chairman be decided by Umno division leaders in the respective states, instead of the party president.
Tengku Razaleigh said that as an Umno member, he felt it his responsibility to make the suggestions with the intention of restoring Umno's image.
The suggestions had been raised by Tengku Razaleigh at the Umno general assembly in 2004.
tunku : this is what mukhriz has suggested too. this will be the best way to elect the leaders instead only fews can vote and to curb money politics.

Ezam Ready To Go For Umno Youth Chief Post If There Is Support
However, he said, being new in the party might not allow him to make such a big decision.
Still, Mohamad Ezam said, he would discuss the matter with other Umno leaders before making a decision.
"I have to discuss first with the leadership and with friends. If the post is for party and national interests and in the interest of the Malays, I will seriously consider," he said.
He was asked to comment on the possibility that his entry into Umno was to fill the post to be vacated by current Umno Youth chief, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein.
tunku : there you go. is this guy sincere in joining umno, it's a big NO.his application has not been processed yet and already talking about contesting umno youth chief post. this type of people should never be allowed in umno. all these has been planned by khairy.this is all for anwar to come back into umno and takes over the leadership from pak lah.so najib and muhyiddin if you people still don't realize the hidden agenda better do something before it's too late. hisham will surely support ezam's entry after being told to do so by his boss who is also his deputy.these people will act in a melodrama again after this.just watch them, they will show that they are not happy etc but at the end of the day they will embrace ezam as we can see at the parliament ezam was given a hero welcome.umno is not what it use to be, a traitor is receiving a hero welcome.
Umno Grassroots Members Want Survey On Support For Leadership, Says Mukhriz
He said the survey could be conducted by distributing special forms to the members to enable them to state their actual stand whether they supported the present leadership or otherwise.
"There are probably many Umno members who wish to express their feelings but unfortunately they have been deprived of their rights by leaders who are more interested in their own position," he told reporters after attending a gathering with Kuala Krau Umno Youth members, near here last night.
Mukhriz, who is also the Member of Parliament for Jerlun, said he had met with several Umno members who had expressed their disappointment because their rights had frequently been denied and they had thus decided not to be active in the party.
"The silent protest by the party members is even more dangerous than open expression of opinion," he said.
Mukhriz said the grassroots members had also suggested that they be allowed to vote in the party elections in future.
tunku : by right every member should be given the chance to vote for their choice of leaders, not only 7(G7) members voting on behalf of thousands.this will also curb money politics and the party concern buying votes will never be able to buy all the members.now they can buy out the G7.what has been working well in the past might not works right now, so we need some serious changes in Umno.

Anwar's man rejoining Umno
The government's post-March 8 anti-corruption agenda was the main attraction for former PKR leader Ezam Mohd Nor to rejoin the party that once expelled him for being overly critical.
The former PKR Youth chief reiterated at a press conference held at Shah Village Hotel in Petaling Jaya today that he did not rejoin Umno because he was offered any position as speculated.
"When Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi announced that the Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) will go through thorough reform, I sense that he is committed in changing things," explained Ezam, who was former head of Gerak, an anti-graft watchdog.
He added that only through rejoining Umno and BN can he pursue his struggle to eradicate corruption and said that he saw "no other formula can realise this quest".
Joining him will be seven other former PKR youth chiefs.
They are Annuar Shaari (former PKR Youth chief for Permatang Pauh and private secretary to party de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim), SD Johari Mohd Yasin (former Selangor PKR Youth chief), Mohd Nazmi Rosli (former Selangor PKR Youth secretary), Ahmad Daud Che Ghani (former PKR Perlis Youth chief), Azwan Din Hamzah (former PKR Youth executive council member), Khairul Annuar Ramli (former PKR Kedah Youth chief) and Abdul Ghani Haron (former PKR Youth executive councillor member).
Annuar is expected to submit his membership form to Deputy Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak this afternoon in Parliament.
Ezam rejoined Umno yesterday after submitting his membership form to Abdullah.
tunku : all this are melodrama, because the pm announced that he will reform ACA thoroughly , ezam feels that he should join Umno. Now he will bring in as he did as a starts with 5-6 ex pkr leaders back to umno and when the time comes the bigg boss, anwar will join too in the name of malay unity.umno is heading to its downfalls with accepting traitors back to the party.anwar's man are diverted in pas earlier and now they are entering umno.one day he'll hold both umno and pas.just watch this evil's game.
Hishammuddin assures action against Mukhriz
However, the 44-year-old son of former premier Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad should not mistake the perceived inaction as tacit approval or lack of will power on his chief's part.
"He's not going to stop saying those things (against Abdullah's leadership) any time soon. So, we will take action against him once and for all (after compiling a list) or else we will have to take action against him every week," Hishammuddin told reporters camped outside the Dewan Rakyat today.
Mukhriz has become increasingly vocal in his criticisms against his party president of late, besides lashing out at those perceived to be the Abdullah's supporters.
His latest target is Datuk Zaid Ibrahim, the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department in charge of legal affairs, who was yesterday criticised for his reform proposals, specifically on the subject regarding ISA detainees.
tunku : what else can hisham capable of doing.he's brave enough with people like mukhriz who is a blacksheep in the party and too coward to say anything to his own deputy because the deputy is actually the boss.he can't question the pm of why he accepted ezam as he had promised.what a coward ketua pemuda.
Mukhriz openly goes for Khairy
This is the first time that the youth wing politician has openly criticised Khairy. If the son-in-law of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi hits back against the youngest son of Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, it could set off a full scale proxy war between the two MPs.
It is unlikely that Khairy will enter the fray, knowing that he does not have much goodwill outside the youth wing to fall back on. Also, perception is stronger than reality and in the eyes of many Malaysians, he is everything and more of what his critics say about him.
In an interview with Agenda Daily, Mukhriz said that one of the reasons for the poor performance of BN was the perception of nepotism in the government and interference of Abdullah’s family and advisers in the policy-making.
"This perception will be hard to erase if these people are still around. This is not limited to one person only, it involves the Fourth Floor and others," he said, using the moniker associated with Abdullah’s team of officials.
He also blamed Khairy for the lack of sting in Umno Youth. In the past, he noted, the youth wing acted as a pressure group in the party, keeping the leadership in check.
But it had become meek. "Among the reasons is that we have a deputy chief who is the son-in-law of the PM. In the past, there was a lot of debate during exco meetings, now we just endorse. I mean sometimes people raise different views but when the number two gives the signal, we just follow," he said.
These comments will challenge the impression that Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein is the undisputed head of Umno Youth and upset the Education Minister who has taken credit for turning the youth wing into a more rational and thinking organisation.
Mukhriz has stated openly that he will be contesting the number one position in Umno Youth while Khairy is likely to give it a pass despite being popular among exco members and most of the state Umno Youth chiefs.
Khairy knows that he is viewed negatively by many older Umno members who think that he is too ambitious and arrogant. Any move by him to reach for the number one position in Umno Youth could anger division chiefs and other party brokers and hurt Abdullah.
Similarly, any move by him to hit back at Mukhriz will put him and all his faults right back in the spotlight, something he cannot afford with his reservoir of goodwill in the party still hovering near the danger level.
tunku : the whole world knows that khairy is one of the reason of the bad performance by bn and umno but as usual the denial syndrome set by pak lah is very strong. so they just let it be.khairy is a sacred cow in umno, dare not touch him.anyone who touches him considered history.khairy need not hit back mukhriz as he has his man to do the dirty job for him.hisham is one of them.
FT Gerakan Chief Confirms Taking Up Pakatan Rakyat's Offer
Tan, 61, a former deputy minister, has followed the example of former Gerakan deputy secretary-general Datuk Lee Kah Choon, who accepted the PR Penang government’s offer to head two key state agencies - InvestPenang and Penang Development Corporation.
"Yes, I have taken up the offer to be joint chairman of the six-member task force.
I'm thankful to the Selangor Government for the trust they have placed in me and to tap on my experience in dealing with land matters.
"A lot of things need to be done and we have been given three months to come out with a report to the Selangor government on the matter of land titles," he told Bernama when contacted late Wednesday night.
Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim Wednesday evening announced the formation of the task force comprising six members to be jointly chaired by Tan and Datuk Dr Nik Mohd Zain Nik Mohd Yusof.
Tan was deputy land and cooperative development minister from 1999 to 2004 while Mohd Zain had been the ministry’s director-general from 1996 to 2002.
Asked why he decided to accept the offer, Dr Tan said: "As you know, I have always been seen as the "thorn in the flesh" or "trouble maker in the party".
"I have tried to do something for Gerakan but have always been regarded as the person who went against the system. I'm already 61 years old now and I'm pleased that Tan Sri Khalid appreciates my past experience. My party does not appreciate me," he added.
Asked whether he would resign from Gerakan, Dr Tan said: "Let the party leaders see the news Thursday and I will wait to see what they are going to do".
Meanwhile, Gerakan secretary-general Datuk Seri Chia Kwang Chye, when contacted, said the party would like to hear from Dr Tan himself on his decision to accept the Selangor government offer before making any statement.
"Until then, that is my comment. Until now, we have not received any notification from him," he said.
tunku : one after one gerakan members "leaving" the party to work or more like joining the pakatan.this had shown that these people were never loyal to the party. to them power and position is everything. they knows that its hard for gerakan to come up again especially in penang so why waste their time in that party.
Ezam rejoins Umno
Prime Minister and Umno president Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi who welcomed Ezam back to the party said:
“What’s special about him is that he left he party to lead another party but he decided to come back, knowing that Umno is still the better party".
Ezam handed over his application form and RM100 in lifetime membership fee at a press conference at Parliament House, after a brief meeting with Abdullah.
KUALA LUMPUR, May 28 (Bernama) -- Mohamad Ezam Mohd Nor, former Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Youth leader and one-time confidant of PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, today rejoined Umno.
He handed his application form and a RM100 fee for life membership to Umno president and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi at a news conference at Parliament House here.
Abdullah, whom Ezam had met at the prime minister's office at Parliament House earlier, said Ezam's readmission into Umno was unconditional.
"No conditions are attached to Exam's readmission (into Umno). He does not get any special treatment or privileges. He has also not sought any position. He just wants to serve and struggle for the party," he told reporters.
Abdullah said there was no objection from the Umno Supreme Council to Exam's readmission into Umno.
The Umno president handed Ezam's application form and fee to Umno executive secretary Brig Gen (Rtd) Datuk Husainay Hashim.
Asked whether Ezam's readmission into Umno was a morale booster for the party, Abdullah said the admission of anyone into Umno helped to strengthen the party.
"Otherwise, why join Umno? Surely there is the intention to strive together for the Umno. Umno is a political party, not a company. A company will want to make profits," he said.
Asked whether Ezam's contribution would be different from that of any other person joining Umno considering that Ezam had held a senior position in PKR, Abdullah said: "Oh, is that so? Let's see what happens."
Abdullah said Ezam had expressed the intention to return to Umno and strive for the party in accordance with its objectives and not those of PKR, and he (Abdullah) acknowledged this.
Asked about Ezam having been close to Anwar at one time, Abdullah said Ezam was sincere about wanting to return to Umno and it would be seen whether his return would pave the way for others to support Umno.
He also said that Umno Youth did not oppose the move to readmit Ezam into the party.
Abdullah said the question of Ezam, 41, being allowed to contest any post at the party's general assembly in December would have to be referred to the provisions in the party constitution.
The prime minister said that when he was out of Umno, surely Ezam was critical of what was going on and that he had had a change of mind now.
"Perhaps he has come to realise, after having been on both sides (the opposition and the government) that Umno is a better party to be the platform for his struggle.
"This question should have been put to him. His strong point is that he has been in another party under another leadership, and he feels that Umno is better," he said.
Asked whether Umno could accept others from PKR who wanted to join Umno as well, Abdullah said Umno would have to consider the matter first and see who the individuals were.
He also said that Ezam had not been assigned any specific duty in Umno yet.
On the question of party crossovers which had been much talked about following the general election in March, Abdullah said that referred to members of parliament and not what had happened today (Ezam's rejoining Umno).
Prior to joining PKR (then Parti Keadilan Nasional) in 1999, Ezam was Petaling Jaya Selatan Umno Division chief (from 1993 to 1996) and Selangor Umno Youth secretary (from 1996 to 1998). He had also served as political secretary to the Finance Minister from 1996 to 1998 and was a fellow of the Institute of Policy Research from 1998 to 2005.
Ezam resigned from PKR last year, reportedly after an internal power struggle with PKR vice-president Azmin Ali, currently the Member of Parliament for Gombak.
tunku : why ezam rejoins umno? a million dollar question. i don't think he joins umno because he believes in umno, nor he joins because he loves pak lah.the 2 possibilities that he joined umno is to start a movement to bring anwar back in umno or he is promised of something.otherwise he would not be given such highlight till tv3 gave live interview during the main bulletin. i don't believe he is sincere.this is the man which had been claiming that he has 6 boxes of evidence of the umno leaders corruption files. i guess he had burnt the boxes or it was just his imagination.well umno had accepted a snake in their party.his snake has networking with the opponents.there are more cons than pros.where is our ketua pemuda, hishamudin.he said earlier that he will ask pak lah 3 questions before accepting ezam back in the party. Has he asked the questions? or he just bowed down to pak lah's order."mana titah patik junjung".
Zaid Ibrahim Wants Action Against Mukhriz And Tajuddin
He said the criticisms by Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir (BN-Jerlun) and Datuk Tajuddin Abdul Rahman (BN-Pasir Salak) tantamount to humiliating the governmment and the prime minister, besides questioning his (Zaid's) appointment as a minister.
"My appointment was made by the prime minister. If the PM wants someone to be a minister, it's his decision and he can choose anyone. Isn't it insulting to me, the government and the prime minister by questioning the decision?
"I'm not forbidding anyone from criticising the government but let the criticism be constructive, not insulting. It's not our job to ask someone to step down, that's the job of the opposition. In BN, our duty is to support because as long as the PM is our leader, we cannot ask him to step down," he told reporters at the parliament lobby.
Zaid said the MPs' act of questioning his appointment made by the prime minister had not only embarrassed him but had also given him a bad image in the eyes of society.
Among the insulting remarks from Mukhriz was, "after being appointed minister, he (Zaid) immediately set out to realise the opposition manifesto, not the BN manifesto", while Tajuddin had said: "Is this for the opposition or government? Opposition minister or government minister?"
Yesterday, Tajuddin also asked Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to review Zaid's appointment as Minister in the Prime Minister's Department.
This was because he regarded Zaid's action of openly attacking, outside parliament, BN MPs whom he (Zaid) saw as government opponents, as irresponsible and disgraceful.
“We shouldn't use the excuse of criticism to embarass the Government. Our job is to support the Government. As long as the PM is still in his post, we cannot tell him to resign,” he said.On Tajuddin's call for a review of his post, Zaid said that this was the Prime Minister's prerogative.“If the PM feels that I should be replaced, it’s up to him. Similarly if he feels Pasir Salak should be replaced, it’s up to him," he added.
tunku : under which law they should be charged zaid ibrahim? i don't know that to question the pm's action or asking pm to resign is wrong and can be charged under pak lah's act. this new hatchet man is all out with those who wants his boss to resign or criticize his boss. at least other ministers and member of parliaments are elected by rakyat not like you and mat taib.can a member of parliament be replaced by the prime minister ? is zaid really a lawyer ?

Mahathir returns, fires another salvo
He’s more afraid of Singapore than Umno members,” the former premier told a crowd of 300 supporters who had gathered to welcome him back from a week-long overseas trip.
Mahathir, who spoke to his supporters through a loud-hailer for about five minutes from the sunroof of a silver multi-purpose van (MPV), accused Abdullah as a traitor.
“Negara cet tu ja pun dia takut (He is afraid of even a tiny country). What kind of a leader is he?” he thundered as the crowd chanted, “Abdullah undur!” (Abdullah step down!)
While Mahathir did not mention Pulau Batu Puteh, he was clearly referring to last Friday’s International Court of Justice decision against Malaysia in its dispute with Singapore over the sovereignty of the strategic uninhabited island south of Johor.
The ex-PM has just returned from Japan after addressing the annual Nikkei conference which was also incidentally attended by Abdullah. The two protagonists however addressed the event on separate days.
“When I was Umno president, he was never loyal to me, but I never made it look like he was not loyal to the party. I let him contest for the vice-presidency, the deputy presidency and now he is the president,” he said, looking fresh in a pin-stripe light blue shirt and a smart grey jacket.
Mahathir also blasted Abdullah as a manipulator who “label those who oppose him as traitors to the party”.
“I am not acting on any pressure,” Mahathir continued, “I am doing this because Umno under Abdullah has forgotten its roots, its struggle for the party - for the Malays and for the nation.”
Dr M cites Malay proverb
He added that Abdullah was a person who had forgotten his roots and was not “grateful” as it was he who handpicked him to be his successor.
“There is a Malay proverb that goes: hutang emas boleh di bayar tapi hutang budi di bawa mati (debt of gold can be repaid but debt of courtesy, we carry to the death).
"But I am not even dead and he has shown...,” said Mahathir who could not finish his sentence as his voice was drown by shouts of “Hidup Mahathir! Hidup Mahathir!” (Long live Mahathir!).
Some of the supporters, who had come all the way from Mahathir’s home state of Kedah, also yelled in support of Mahathir’s youngest son, “Hidup Mukhriz!” (Long live Mukhriz!). Mukhriz, an ardent critic of Abdullah in Umno, is member of parliament for Jerlun, Kedah.
Mahathir, who appeared elated by the enthusiastic reception, thanked his supporters for their presence.
“When I was in Umno, I received the same reception as today so there is no difference of being an Umno member and not being a member,” he said.
Mahathir sent shockwaves last week when he announced his decision to leave the party which he had led for 22 years in what was believed to be an attempt to trigger a domino effect that would see a mass resignation of Umno members.
This however did not happen when Umno leaders after an emergency meeting with Abdullah accepted Mahathir’s resignation and pledged to back the embattled party leader.

Abdullah Returns From Japan
PETALING JAYA, May 27 (Bernama) -- Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi returned home Tuesday after attending the 14th Nikkei International Conference On The Future Of Asia in Tokyo, Japan.
The aircraft carrying Abdullah and his entourage landed at the Royal Malaysian Air Force Base in Subang, near here at 9.30pm.
About 5,000 people were at the airport to greet the Prime Minister.
Among the leaders present were Human Resource Minister Datuk Dr S.Subramaniam and Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, Special Advisor to the Prime Minister on Women and Community Development Affairs.
At the conference, Abdullah had urged Asean to immediately set up a humanitarian aid centre to assist disaster victims such as those affected by the storm in Myanmar which resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands of people.
He had also suggested that Asean immediately implemented the agreement on the management of disasters and action that needed to be taken.

tunku : 300 who greeted Tun Mahathir came with their own expenses and for the their love and respect for Tun Mahathir meanwhile the 5000 came to greet pak lah were given allowance, transportation and of course 'makan'.
Zaid ticked off over 'false allegations'
During the debate on the Supplementary Supply Bill, Tajuddin stood up to deny having made any statements that insulted Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi or that have gone against the government.
I want to deny that I made any speeches that insult the prime minister or which go against the government.
“It was very unparliamentary of (Zaid) to make these statements in public (containing) false allegations about me. I am concerned because this misleading information might even make Umno act against me.”
He was referring to a New Straits Times report last Friday, which quoted Zaid (left) as having suggested that Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN) should act against their members and parliamentarians who openly criticise government policies and the prime minister.
Asked if his remarks were targeted at anyone in particular, Zaid had said that he had heard statements by Mukhriz Mahathir (BN-Jerlun) and Tajuddin in Parliament.
Mukhriz had accused Zaid last week of being more keen on implementing the agenda of opposition coalition Pakatan Rakyat.
Tajuddin’s tirade continued as he labelled Zaid as “irresponsible” for failing to understand the role of parliamentarians.
“Our role is to give our views and debate. It is not just parliamentarians from the opposition who can criticise the government - so can the backbenchers. I cannot agree with his prerogative but as the law minister, I hope he can carry out his tasks responsibly.
“But if this is his attitude, I urge the PM to re-examine his appointment,” he said to loud thumps on the tables by fellow backbenchers.
Qualified support
On the proposed Judicial Appointments Commission, Tajuddin expressed support for a transparent judiciary but disagreed with the dilution of the premier’s prerogative in this matter.
“As much as we want a transparent judiciary, we do not want the PM’s powers to be disappear just like that. I disagree with the removal of PM’s powers in the appointment process. Who wants to be PM if there are no powers?
“What is important is that the powers remain, but the PM needs to execute it responsibly. How can this be construed as insulting the PM and going against the government?”
He then took a swipe at Zaid’s loyalty to Umno and the BN by comparing the length of their membership.
“I’ve been in BN and Umno for 36 years. I defend the PM and the government. But this minister, how long has he been in Umno and BN? He wasn’t even in the country in his constituency (Kota Bharu) during the elections,” he taunted.
Zaid was dropped as a candidate and did not contest in his former seat - Kota Bharu in Kelantan - in the 12th general election held on March 8.
The mood lightened when Tajuddin brought Foreign Affairs Minister Rais Yatim (left) into the equation.
“If the PM wants a legal expert to be the law minister, there are many other candidates in Umno. Even our foreign affairs minister has a PhD in law,” he said.
Rais, who was present, covered his face with his hands and laughed, while the BN representatives thumped the tables.
Tajuddin concluded by demanding for an apology from Zaid.
“The minister as part of the Executive must learn how to take constructive criticism, be it from the opposition or backbenchers. I therefore ask Zaid to retract his statement and apologise,” he said, to more loud thumping of tables.
tunku : what mukhriz said about zaid is very true and what tajuddin said also very true. this guy is just the new hatchet man of pak lah, so he must oblige the boss.he never helped umno during the election and before the election he was condemning umno and pak lah.now he changed his colour.by right it was rais yatim who should be made the de facto law minister.he's more capable than zaid ibrahim.rais even can be the dpm or even pm. he has the potential anbd quality, thats why they put him as foreign minister, so that he will be busy outside the country most of the time.

Pemimpin Pemusnah
www.chedet.com
Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim pula menyata secara terbuka kepada The Straits Times (Singapura), jika Abdullah teruskan (kepimpinannya) “it is also good for us because he is weak” (Jika Abdullah terus (memimpin) ia adalah baik bagi kita (parti lawan) kerana dia lemah).
Government Bans Sale Of Fuel To Foreign Cars This Friday
Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Shahrir Samad said at the Malaysia-Thailand border, the ban involved petrol stations that were 30-50km from the border.
He said the ban covered Perlis, Kedah, North Perak, Kelantan and several districts in Johor including Kulai and Johor Baharu.
"A written directive regarding the ban under the Control of Supplies Act 1961 will be issued to 200-300 petrol station operators in the near future," Shahrir told reporters at the Parliament lobby after attending a meeting of the Cabinet Committee On Inflation at Parliament House.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
He said the ban would be in force until his ministry could determine an appropriate subsidy management system to block "optimistic" buying and selling. "This move is a stern act by the government to reduce the leak in subsidy that involved high cost and which should actually be enjoyed by the lower-income group in the country.
He said his ministry's officers will be deployed at the stations concerned to monitor and act if there were station owners who flouted the ban.
The penalty for flouting was a fine up to RM250,000 or three years jail or both, he said.
Shahrir said the matter was brought up in the meeting which agreed to stop what was being practised at the northern border where cars from Thailand came to buy petrol and diesel.
He said the suggestion by the Federation of Malaysian Consumers Associations (Fomca) that petrol subsidy be given based on the size of the engine was also being considered.
Give subsidized petrol to national car owners.
tunku : i think this is one way to avoid our subsidized petrol given to outsiders who are taking advantage on its cheaper price here in malaysia.the government is thinking right now the best way to come out with how to subsidized the petrol only to those with less income.one way is to give subsidize petrol or diesel to national car owners.it will boost our national car sales which is currently not doing well in their sales.they should really think about this seriously.
Extension Of Service Only For Healthy, Excellent Civil Servants
Datuk Wira Syed Ali Syed Abbas AlHabshee said this was to ensure that only the healthy ones and those with excellent track records were retained.
"With advancing age comes a host of diseases which will affect performance and the public delivery system," he said when debating the Yang di-Pertuan Agong's address in the Dewan Negara here Monday.
Syed Ali who admitted that he was still confused with the extended retirement age directive, urged the Public Service Department (PSD) to review it and proposed that those interested in extending their service be compelled to provide a performance report.
"Only those who are active should have their service extended, not the lazy bones who only give a poor image of the civil service," he said.
Meanwhile, Senator Ahmad Hussin described the corrupt, including Members of Parliament (MPs) who intend to switch parties as "dirty dogs".
"MPs must not switch parties because of money. They have a responsibility to the voters and must uphold the mandate and trust," he added.
tunku : i guess only the healthy and with good tracking records should be given extension.hope they will find a way to identify them and don't rely on the department's head alone as there will be serious apple polishing issues and may be bribes.

Ku Li in Sabah to gauge support
Tengku Razaleigh was among a crowd of leaders from the grassroots at a dinner here. Senior Sabah Umno leaders and division chiefs were absent.
“Division heads are usually too busy to meet me,” said Razaleigh who has offered himself to branch leaders to be the candidate for the president’s post, promising to be an agent of change for the party.
Razaleigh did not discount the possibility of picking a Sabah leader to run for senior positions like deputy or vice-president as he felt that a senior Sabah leader in higher position would help bring attention to their problems.
He added that he was prepared to meet Sabah’s demands for a review on oil royalty and questioned why Petronas was piping the gas obtained from Sabah’s offshore to Bintulu leaving the state's locals without any benefits.
Razaleigh also claimed that there was a huge deposit of oil found off Sabah that had potential of becoming one of the biggest oil fields that could produce a million barrels of oil a day.
Among those present was former Sabah Information Chief Datuk Karim Ghani who in his speech said that Umno needed a change in leadership for it to survive and win back the confidence of other races.
tunku : it's good idea to look supports in sabah but i think ku li should team up with muhyiddin to gain supports.for sure they will get majority support if they team up.as for sabah leaders, i think they should get one of the vice president post and ku li could identify one to put in the team.the best thing for umno is to get vice president who does not hold government post so that they can concentrate fully to rebuilds the party and put it back at the level it was before.
Husam wants PM to step down
He claimed that Abdullah's weak leadership was leading the nation nowhere.
“It is the future of the country at stake and not just political parties. In this context, there is common ground for any leader to call for Abdullah to step aside,” he said.
Stressing that he was not interfering with Umno affairs, Husam said his call was being made in the interest of the nation.
“For the sake of national interests and the country’s future, Abdullah must consider stepping down,” Husam said after opening a seminar at Grand Riverview Hotel here yesterday.
He said while the Opposition might stand to gain from a weak leadership, the country would be in a state of a stalemate if leaders had to constantly call for a show of support or confidence.
“Real nation-building work gets affected,” he said.
Husam also urged Jerlun MP Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir to emulate his father Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and leave Umno to become an Independent MP.
tunku : husam is making statement against the opposition pact's wish. pkr,dap and even most of pas mps wants pak lah to stay on.they gain from the situation.as for mukhriz let there be an 'opposition' in BN's team.let bn have their own check and balance which will be true criticism in the party.

SPEECH BY
TUN DR MAHATHIR BIN MOHAMAD
AT THE JAPAN FOREIGN CORRESPONDENTS’ CLUB
IN TOKYO, JAPAN
ON FRIDAY, 23 MAY 2008
1. I would like to thank you for this invitation to speak on the role of Malaysia and Asia on international affairs involving politics, economic and the environment.
2. By itself I do not think Malaysia can do much. But Asia is perhaps more able to contribute to these fields.
3. Asia is not homogenous like Europe. The people of Asia range from dark-skinned people to brown skinned to yellow and to white Caucasians. It is not possible for all these different people inhabiting different parts of Asia to collaborate in voicing identical views on anything. It is not possible at this point in time to think of an Asian Union with the same clout as the European Union.
4. Obviously Asia’s contribution would differ greatly between the ethnic and the regional groupings. This will render Asia less able to influence international affairs.
5. However certain parts and certain countries of Asia, particularly those in the East and India have gained a level of development, which would make their voices heard and respected by the rest of the world. They would therefore be able to play a role in international affairs.
6. Unfortunately they are not doing so. They are very reticent and unwilling to take a prominent role. This is because Asians have not got over their having been dominated in the past by the West.
7. Because of this Asia is always trying to understand and accommodate Western ideas and creeds. Asia has tried to adopt European ideologies, European systems of Government, European perceptions of things and values, European regimes for trade and finance etc. etc.
8. There has never been an Asian initiative for the world in any field. When globalisation was promoted by the West, Asians merely try to adjust to a new concept of international relations, particularly in trade, commerce and finance. Asians failed to recognise the inevitability of a New World Order resulting from the advances in speed of travel and instant communication and so to propose new regimes for the world.
9. If Asia wants to play a role in international affairs it must first liberate its minds from Western mental hegemony. This must be through deliberate effort. Asians can fall back on their greatness in the past and learn how to reassert themselves. After all Asians discovered Europe before the Europeans discovered Asia. Spain, the Mediterranean lands and Eastern Europe were ruled for centuries by Asians. So Asian involvement in international affairs is not new.
10. Asian countries have shown that when they have the political will they can excel in all the activities once dominated by the Europeans. Asian countries have now become developed, have been able to set up effective governments and have replaced the European countries in the production of all kinds of goods and services.
11. Many have now developed inventive skills and introduced new products to the world.
12. But Asians have shied away from formulating new ideas and ideologies, new systems and new trading and financial regimes for the world. Yet I am quite sure that if Asians put their minds to it they can offer better solutions to international problems.
13. There is no doubt that the international trade and financial regime as formulated by the west have now been shown to be disastrous for the world. The US Dollar is no longer stable for use as the benchmark for other currencies. Trading in currencies have now undermined the value of the currencies of the world including the United States. Free trade has resulted in many poor countries becoming unable to export their products and earn foreign exchange. Mergers and acquisitions by giant corporations have created monsters that have killed the small man and created serious social and economic problems for the many countries.
14. While all these disasters are happening Asian countries have either been bystanders or they have tried to struggle for survival. They have not proposed anything original or shown any initiative to overcome these problems. Yet they are in a position to do something not just to mitigate the effect of these Western conceived systems and regimes but to propose entirely new ideas and proposals that can replace the old regimes and usher in a new and fairer World Order.
15. Asians can propose fair trade instead of free trade; the replacement of the US Dollar by a new trading currency, the stoppage of currency trading, replacing it with a new Bretton Woods kind of agreement that can restore stability in the valuation of currencies, imposing limits on mergers and acquisitions and the formulation of an international anti-trust laws etc. etc.
16. I would like to mention a particular effort initiated by Malaysia. The world still accepts that one way of solving conflicts between nations is to kill people and see who can kill the most. This is called war but war is about killing people.
17. In human society killing is a serious crime meriting the most severe punishment. Yet killing thousands of people in a war is not considered a crime. This is absurd. You must not kill one person but you can kill hundreds of thousands.
18. Malaysia is trying to make killing people in war as much a crime as murder in any human society. This is to be a total change in human values. Whoever initiates wars must be condemned as criminal killers and must be punished by the international community.
19। Asia can back this effort by Malaysia. This can be a major initiative by Asia. If Asia succeeds in stopping the killings, in making war a crime, it will mark a powerful contribution of Asia to human civilisation. It will mean that the human race has become truly civilised.

The Rule Of Law
www.chedet.com
Malaysia is a country which practices the rule of law. Our laws must cover every aspect of our societal life, so we will know exactly what we can do and what we cannot do. Prime Ministers in particular must have everything spelt out for them in this respect. This will enable them to be charged if they had breached the rule of law long after they had retired. Governments, serving Prime Ministers and Ministers are well placed to initiate action against others. But when the Government, the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister do something wrong, like cover-ups for example, then police reports may be made against them. But how can the person reporting be sure that the police will investigate without fear or favour. I believe some reports have been made but so far there have been no results. Public confidence would be undermined if investigations by the proper authorities are not made. If the investigation is only to clear the name, then can we say the rule of law is being properly practised? We therefore need to have more Royal Commissions manned by people of impeccable character like the ones on the Lingam tapes. The Commissions can then make proposals based on speculations and possibilities can then investigate the possibilities and probabilities and help clear those in power. When this is done we can say that this beloved country practises the rule of law.
Ex-Puteri Leaders May Weaken Umno By Contesting Top Posts In Wanita - Rafidah
She said should there be contests, it could cause upheaval and splits in wing and eventually weaken the party.
"Do not be overzealous in vying for top posts in Wanita Umno because when we have two or three people contesting (a post), we will have two or three factions and this will cause problems.
"Wanita (Umno) is the backbone of the party and if we are saddled with problems, the party will eventually bear the brunt," she told reporters after holding a closed-door meeting with Kedah Umno Wanita division heads at Ampang Jajar here Saturday.
However, Rafidah welcomed ex-Puteri members who had ceased to become members of junior wing who had passed the age-limit to be a member in it to apply for Wanita Umno membership.
"However, let me remind you that once you are accepted, do not be impatient by vying for top posts," she said, adding that they should start by contesting committee member posts.
"I am proposing that Wanita division heads enlist ex-Puteri members who are contemplating contesting become additional committee members. "At least we can get the input from these youths who can assist us in reaching out to the younger generation.
"Some ex-Puteri members held important posts in the movement and this is the reason why they also want positions in Wanita," she said.
tunku : people like rafidah will destroy umno one day.rafidah is trying to tell everyone that wanita umno belongs to her.sometime she said that umno should change and reform and sometime she said do not contest, do not change the current leaders especially if the leader is rafidah.guess ex puteri members should wait till they becomes grandmothers to contest for a post in wanita umno.
Not Umno's Culture To Curb Members From Expressing Their Opinions, Says Muhyiddin
He said Umno was a democratic party and therefore its members were free to express their opinions.
"Otherwise, Umno members will be regarded as `yes men' or apple polishers. However, it has to be done in a proper way," he told reporters after briefing the Federal Territory Umno Liaison Committee members on the party's code of ethics here Sunday.
Muhyiddin was reacting to the action by Jerlun Member of Parliament Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir in calling for Prime Minister and party president Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to step down.
On the party's code of ethics, he said it should be used as a guide for members so that their actions would not be in violation of the party's constitution.
"Umno is now being scrutinised by the people. So it is necessary that members carry themselves with integrity and abide by the party's code of ethics to help restore the people's confidence in Umno and to discard the perception of Umno members as being arrogant," he added.
Asked whether former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's decision to leave Umno would affect party members, Muhyiddin said: "Although many are disappointed, I'm confident that 99.99 percent of Umno members still believe in Umno's struggle ".
tunku : at least there are some leaders in umno which still has some sense.what muhyiddin said is true.umno was a democratic party but not anymore under pak lah.
Hishammuddin Has Three Questions For Party Leadership On Ezam's Entry Into Umno
Hishammuddin said first he will ask what benefit could be achieved by Mohamad Ezam's re-entry into Umno, secondly what was Mohamad Ezam's sincerity in struggling alongside Umno and thirdly what would be Mohamad Ezam's role when he is accepted into Umno.
He said although Mohamad Ezam had not made any decision on his re-entry into Umno, he (Hishammuddin) had however readied the three questions for the party leadership's scrutiny.
"In this matter, as Umno Youth chief, I will surely be involved in the talks about Ezam's entry and I am ready to pose the three questions. "I have not had the opportunity to hear for myself his stand as I understand he is out of the country," Hishammuddin said after a meet-the-people function at the Kluang Municipal Hall here.
He said he could not comment on the statement Friday by Pahang Menteri Besar Pahang, Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob, who welcomed Mohamad Ezam's entry and said the former political secretary of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim would be an asset to the party.
"I cannot say yes or no to that statement as long as my three questions are not answered," said Hishammuddin who is also the Education Minister.
tunku : adnan yaacob is the biggest idiot in the world. how could a man who always claims he has several boxes of evidence of umno's corrupt(but till today nothing is expose) will be an asset to the party? he had tarnished umno's image and has always attacked umno.thank god umno youth leader voiced out something but still not with tough voice. if ezam wants to rejoins umno, it's ok but there should be no position offered to him. talk of the town is he's going to be made a senator and might be contesting for a position in the umno's election.if this happened then it will be disaster for umno.one fine day we'll see anwar entering back to umno.there is a secret pact going on between kj, norza and ezam now.
Message from new hatchet man
KOTA BAHARU, May 24 (Bernama) -- Barisan Nasional (BN) and Umno must be more firm when dealing with members who openly criticise national leaders and government policies whether within or outside the Dewan Rakyat.
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Zaid Ibrahim said Umno and the BN should not allow such individuals to continuously make such criticisms openly as it could tarnish the government's image.
BN members should take part in explaining the policies and reforms carried out by the government instead of criticising them, he told reporters here Saturday. He said BN members who disagreed with the government policies should not be with the government and suggested that they became independent members of parliament like Datuk Ibrahim Ali, the member of parliament for Pasir Mas.
Zaid said the call by a handful of BN members for the resignation of Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi as the prime minister was immature as this would not guarantee that the problems in the party could be resolved.
tunku : this man has really changed. before made a minister he always talk about freedom of speech , transparency , etc but after becoming a minister he's asking those who wants to criticize the leadership should not be with the government and be independent members.what a chameleon in the cabinet.

Mukhriz: Umno disciplinary board cannot sack me
He added that it was not in the party constitution nor was it ethical conduct for a member who “criticised” the party president to be sacked or have disciplinary action taken against him.
“When my father (Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad) was in power, many people had asked him to step down.
“But my father never asked disciplinary action to be taken against those people. He did not also sack them from the party,” Mukhriz said in response to calls for disciplinary action to be taken against him for continuously pressuring Abdullah to quit.
Even the Jerlun Umno division passed a resolution calling on Mukhriz to stop pressuring Abdullah.
Mukhriz said he respected the decision of the division committee members.
“We can have differences in opinion. But what is important is our right to speak out. We must agree to disagree. This will strengthen the party.
“If voicing opinions is not allowed, this will open the way for the Opposition to woo Umno members,” he said.
Jerlun Umno chief Datuk Abdul Rahman Ariffin said the call for Mukhriz to stop pressuring the leadership was among a three-point resolution made during a special division committee meeting on Thursday night.
tunku : under pak lah,you never know but i believe they won't sack mukhriz as this will leads the party to more internal turmoils.they will only issue warning.
Umno, BN Should Dare To Make Changes - Najib
Taking several political parties in other countries as examples, he said the changes were crucial so that the people did not reject Umno and the BN.
"We can make improvements because Umno and the BN are good brands. Don't lose hope and get frustrated. We must build the confidence that Umno and BN are platforms for our struggle," he said at a function hosted by the former people's representatives council (Mubarak) Johor chapter here.
He said the 12th general election had changed the country's political landscape which called for the leadership of Umno and the BN to do a soul-searching and identify the factors which led to the party's failure in several sates.
Najib said people are like the customer and customer is king and, thus is always right.
"The first step that should be taken is to open our ears and minds and listen to the people's voices. Perhaps, there are voices saying we have been in power for far too long and have grown arrogant with power.
"Maybe for us, it was not true but maybe it was true according to people's perception," he said.
Therefore, he said, the present leadership in Umno and the BN should be more humble though sitting on high places so that they were always popular among the people.
Mubarak president Tan Sri Abu Zahar Ujang said in his speech that the organisation set up 10 years ago would always support the present BN leadership.
He also urged the BN leadership to avert in-fighting so that a split would not occur and create opportunities for the opposition to cause trouble to the BN.
Present at the function were Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman and Mubarak Johor chapter president Datuk Wira Jaafar Hamzah.
tunku : that is what everyone has been saying.umno and bn should dare to make changes and to start with, get rid of the rejected leaders.we need new leaders to lead umno and bn if still want to be in power.the current leaders are not accepted by majority of the rakyat.if they think they still won and has the support, then just wait for the next election, where if pak lah still around, he may be the opposition leader in the parliament and just imagine pak lah as an opposition leader , he will just keep quiet and might be sleeping in the parliament.
Jerlun Umno Supports Pak Lah and Mukhriz ?
JERLUN, May 23 (Bernama) -- Jerlun Umno division on Friday pledged full support to the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and hopes he will do something to restore the confidence of party members.
Jerlun Umno division chief Datuk Abdul Rahman Ariffin said the resolution was reached after a special committee meeting of the Jerlun Umno division here Friday night.
"The divisional Umno also asks Jerlun Member of Parliament Datuk Mukhriz Tun Dr Mahathir to concentrate on his duties in the constituency and stop the pressure on national leaders.
"We believe if he remains with his stance (urging Abdullah to step down), it will adversely affect his future in the party," he said after meeting the people at Wisma Umno Jerlun.
Besides, Rahman said the Jerlun Umno division also appealed to former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to withdraw his decision to quit the party.
"We have to revere present leaders because each leadership must be respected," he said.
Meanwhile, Mukhriz who was present at the function said he accepted openly all views of the Jerlun Umno division.
"Everybody has the right to give views but I disagree with the resolution and will stick to my stance.
"My intention is to save the party from facing more severe defeats in future elections," he said.
Meantime, Mukhriz said, he would make good all the promises to the Jerlun constituents and honour his responsibility as the people's representative to the best of his ability.
Asked to comment on calls for disciplinary action to be taken on him for urging Abdullah to step down, he said the party's constitution did not say that a member doing so could be penalised or sacked.
Jerlun Umno Youth Backs Mukhriz
JERLUN, May 23 (Bernama) -- Jerlun Umno Youth has come to the defence of MP for Jerlun Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir who has been taken to task for calling for the resignation of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
Its chief Zulfekri Awang described the criticisms levelled by Negeri Sembilan Umno Youth chief Datuk Jamlus Aziz and Perak Umno Youth chief Zainol Fadzi Paharudin against Mukhriz as attempts to stifle the freedom of speech.
"Democracy in Umno will be paralysed if members are barred from speaking up and forced to support leaders whom they do not agree with.
"We know that Mukhriz is conveying a message from the grassroots and we have to give him the opportunity as Umno adopts a democratic system," he told Bernama here Friday.
Jamlus has called for action to be taken against Mukhriz by the Umno Disciplinary Board while Zainol Fadzi called for his (Mukhriz) resignation as an Umno Youth executive committee member and from the party for his uncalled for attitude against the leadership.
tunku : the old supports pak lah and the young supports mukhriz. well that is democracy.anyone can support anybody and there should not be restrictions to it. i guess rahman arifin forgets that if it was not for mukhriz, umno had lost in jerlun to pas.anyway we wish mukhriz all the best as we see hopes for umno in him.we hopes that he is sincere and will not let the grassroots members down.
Karpal lodges police report against Mahathir
He wants the ACA not only to investigate the allegations but also as to why Mahathir did not lodge a police report for the overtures of the judges and or persons concerned.
According to the senior lawyer, Mahathir has fallen foul of the Anti- Corruption Act 1997.
Lobbying by judges for judicial promotions and career growth, or anyone for that matter, who lobbied to the prime minister to be appointed as a judge, commit an offence under the 1997 Act, said Karpal.
"The 1997 Act was passed during Dr Mahathir's time. "Surely he knew that he was duty bound to report about it," Karpal told journalists when lodging a police report against the former premier today.
In his police report lodged at the Jalan Penang police station in George Town, Penang, DAP national chairperson Karpal called on the ACA not to let anyone off the hook in its investigations on the alleged lobbying and Mahathir's failure to report about it.
At a forum in Johor Baru last weekend, Mahathir revealed that several judges had lobbied him for promotions when he was the country's fourth Prime Minister for 22 years (1981 - 2003).
Speaking on the allegations that he was at the centre of a judicial appointment scandal in 2001, the 83-year-old veteran politician said he would "love to be in court to testify about the scandal."
Only then, the former premier said, he could reveal what went on behind the scenes at the time and instances of judges lobbying him for promotions.
Duty bound to report
The royal commission report on the VK Lingam video clip named Mahathir and five others - lawyer Lingam, former chief justices Ahmad Fairuz Sheikh Abdul Halim and Eusoff Chin, tycoon Vincent Tan and former minister Tengku Adnan Mansor, to have conspired to fix the appointments and promotions of judges.
The federal government had ordered a thorough investigation into the allegation.
Despite lobbying from certain judges, Mahathir claimed he decided on the judges' appointment based on his own assessment.
Even then however, Karpal believed that Mahathir was duty bound to report the matter to police and ACA to initiate investigations.
"No doubt he claimed to have decided on the appointments by his own accord, nonetheless he had neglected his duty as the prime minister by not lodging police report to prompt a probe.
"It's a serious allegations and an offence under the corruption law. It must be probed," he said.
When Karpal raised similar issue at the Parliament on Wednesday, the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Nazri Abdul Aziz agreed that such acts could amount to corruption.
The DAP leader also called on Mahathir to publicly name the judges and persons concerned.
He said it was wrong to allow the issue to lie down because innocent judges would also be tainted with similar allegations.
tunku : looks like opposition and the government mps are after tun mahathir.both join hands (nazri aziz and karpal) all out to nail Tun Mahathir but they will fail at the end of the day. I believe nik aziz too admitted few times that he has been offered bribe, he too duty bound to report, does he? there have been many politicians too reported they have been approach, lobbied etc. even the prime minister told that people came to see him to lobby. so let us just make police reports only and do nothing else.by the way nazri is happy his former boy(ezam) coming back to umno.there will be more pkr members joining him and at the end of the day anwar will joins umno and at that time we will see how will pas and dap's reaction will be.
Samy Vellu Expresses Sadness Over Dr M Quitting Umno
"I am saddened. Would it not be good if Dr Mahathir and (Prime Minister Datuk Seri) Abdullah (Ahmad Badawi) could reconcile for the sake of national development?" he told reporters after opening the Kedah MIC annual general meeting, here.
Dr Mahathir announced on Monday he was quitting Umno because he had lost confidence in the leadership of Abdullah and that he would only rejoin the party after Abdullah steps down as Umno president and prime minister.
The announcement had come following two years of criticism hurled at the Abdullah administration by Dr Mahathir.
Samy Vellu said, however, that the MIC supported Abdullah as the prime minister and Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman.
tunku : just because he went to kedah this samy wants to make melodrama there.very sad bla bla bla. one thing for sure majority of indians will express happiness if samy quits.
