KENINGAU, March 4 (Bernama) -- Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) vice-president Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan has urged the Anti Corruption Agency (ACA) to monitor and investigate reports of alleged cash distribution in Sabah ahead of Saturday's general election.
Dr Jeffrey, who is contesting in Bingkor state seat and Keningau parliamentary seat, claimed that certain political leaders resorted such practices because they were under pressure by the challenge posed by PKR candidates.
He said that reports reaching him from the ground indicated that certain leaders had been resorting to bribing voters to attract crowds to their gathering.
Jeffery also alleged that there was a widespread distribution of money under the poor students trust fund throughout Sabah.
He claimed that parents of school children in many constituencies were given hard cash.
Jeffrey also claimed that he had also been informed by PKR supporters that "other kind of bribing are taking place".
He also urged the Election Commission to establish enforcement teams to monitor activities of all candidates in the election.
"I'm making this call because so called house-to-house campaign is being used as an opportunity to distribute cash," he said.

tunku : jeffrey, i'm sure if it's widespread , for sure you got some evidence.please go report it to the ACA and police.Don't waste time anymore or you just wasting our time listening to you.
