BN must get rid of denial syndrome: Hishammuddin

Barisan Nasional has to rid itself of the denial syndrome and accept the people’s choice in the election, Umno Youth head Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein said today.
He said the BN should now work harder to meet the needs of the people.
“MPs must now look at their self worth and effectiveness as this is critical in serving the public better in light of the election results,” he added.
Hishamuddin, the MP for Sembrong and the Education Minister in the previous Cabinet, was speaking to reporters after launching the ICT Conference and Exhibition 2008,
He said although the BN did not win a two-third parliamentary majority, the people had nevertheless given it a a strong mandate to govern the country.
MPs, both past and present, must therefore defend the BN with honesty and sincerity.
“We have now to go out and work to win back a greater degree of public confidence. Our agenda in respect of the Higher Education and the Education Ministries has not changed - our work continues,” he added.
Hishammuddin said it was important that the BN find out the real reason for its poor performance in certain states and let the people know about it.
“The are many negative claims by various parties being passed around which are not true.”
He said the BN was ready to work with the opposition parties in states under their control.
He added that the Opposition would have to prove their worth in developing and administering a multi-ethnic society and deliver what they had promised.

tunku : hishammuddin the only way to get rid of denial is for people like your be more vocal to the leadership, not everytime "saya sokong" or "kita sokong". people like you and few others have made it a trend in umno.the only way to clean the mess is for pak lah to resign.wake up hisham.

Hisham,

Please identify directly who is in denial. You are the master of rhetorics. Identify the culprit or shut your gap.

Kak Tunku

The problem with the just elected BN MPs is that Cabinet Ministers have not been appointed. Kalau ada yang outspoken, takut tak dilantik. Personal political survival...

Tak Dak Nama 3

Sunday afternoon switching on the TV....
This is what he has got to say,
"Mandat di beri bukan untuk mencari populariti tapi untuk mentadbir"..
di dalam hati aku berkata,
"Wah.... sudah kembali Darah Dato Onn Jaafar rupa nya"

Tapi malamnya, lain bicara..
"Titah tuanku patik junjung" jua rupanya.

Adehhhh.. pedih rasa di hati.
