Defeated Lembah Pantai independent candidate N. Periasamy plans to file a petition to disqualify Nurul Izzah Anwar as MP for the constituency.
The 48-year-old father of two said he is under discussions with his lawyers over seditious remarks made during ceramahs by Nurul and her father, Parti Keadilan Rakyat advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
He said that the duo had been telling people that he is a Barisan Nasional proxy and a supporter of the Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf).
“It was unfair what they did to me. I conducted press conferences to deny their allegations. If not for their al legations, I would have polled more than 10,000 votes,” he said.
First-timer Periasamy took on big guns Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil (BN) and Nurul who got 18,833 and 21,728 votes respectively. He only received 489.
Periasamy said he will be filing his petition with the Election Commission “anytime”. He hoped the commission will declare the results null and void, paving the way for a by-election.

Good news! Then the country will be able to witness N. Periasamy and Shahrizat Abdul Jalil contesting again, but probably with Anwar Ibrahim as BA candidate. Eagerly waiting for this high profile by-elections.

Periasamy is nothing but a sore loser, even forfeiting his deposit. He should just congratulate Nurul Izzah for her resounding victory over Sharizat on 8 Mar. Periasamy already knows he will not only lose, but also lose his deposit when contesting in Lembah Pantai. But still like the sang kancil, he still wants to go into the den (liar) of the singa and therefore gets eaten up. Have a nice day my dear Tunku
Perisamy this is the name of the game, don't waste your time and money, save it for your children's food and education , no point of contesting and the chances for you is very very slim to declare Nurul Ezzah disqulified so shut up and keep quiet try again next election and ask your sponsor to allot bigger funds this time
