Pas Kedah Government sees Kelantan as role model but won't emulate everything
The new Pas-led Kedah Government will make Kelantan its role model but will not adopt everything from the State as it also has its own ways, said Menteri Besar Azizan Abdul Razak.
Azizan said unlike Kelantan where 95 percent of the population were Malays, Kedah has a bigger non-Malay community, which has helped it to come to power, and that was why the Kedah Government won't be hasty in making changes.
"The non-Muslims are worried that we will ban the consumption of pork and liquor and gambling. We have no problem with them slaughtering and eating pork but liquor will be limited to non-Muslims while gambling is not a culture of any race in the country.
"We are not in a hurry to make decisions on these matters and will study them thoroughly as we do not want to make changes when we are not prepared. Anyway, these are not priorities as we have many other things to settle first," he told reporters at the Kelantan Menteri Besar's official residence.
tunku : so this means that pas is like chameleon too, in kelantan different colour, kedah different colour and perak different colour too.i wonder how many colours pas has???

I think all Muslims should learn and appreciate "Siasah Syar'iyyah" and the available approaches. Otherwise Muslims themselves will make non-Muslims fear of Islamic laws.
