Selangor MB crisis: Khalid hits back at former colleagues over ‘stingy’ label

Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim has hit back at former PKR colleagues for labelling him “stingy”.

Khalid said the state had always placed emphasis on allocations that mattered most.

“Of course, there is no point if a state is rich but (does) not give back to the people.

“To me, the most important thing is education, and the state has never once compromised on this,” he said after attending an alumni dinner at Chung Hua secondary school, Saturday night.

Khalid said the state had allocated RM3mil annually for Chinese schools and that RM500,000 was given yearly to the Chung Hua school for development of infrastructure and the betterment of students.

He also pointed out that the restructuring of the state’s water industry would benefit Selangor residents.
