MH17: More than 16 remains to arrive in KLIA on Friday

More than 16 bodies are expected to be arriving at Kuala Lumpur International Airport on Friday as authorities have identified 28 Malaysians involved MH17 crash to date.

Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said the final number would be confirmed on Wednesday when the coordinating committee meets.

"We can finalised the proceedings for the National Day of Mourning and determine the time for the moment silence once we confirmed how many remains will return on Friday," he told a press conference following a media briefing on Tuesday.

Last week, Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced Friday as the National Day for Mourning.

The remains of 15 Malaysians and a Dutch will be brought back on Friday from Amsterdam.
