Khalid Says Donations Deposited Into PKR Accounts

SHAH ALAM, June 23 (Bernama) -- Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim Monday conceded that there were donations received from private companies for the 100th day celebration of the `Pakatan Rakyat' administration in Selangor being deposited into the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) account.
"I am told that there were efforts to collect donations which I feel is unnecessary," he said when asked to comment on the claim by former PKR Youth head Mohamad Ezam Mohd Nor that the donation collected for the anniversary celebration had been deposited into the PKR account.
Abdul Khalid said the collection, which he said was not that much, had been frozen and component parties of the Pakatan Rakyat would discuss how the money would be utilised and the state government would be informed of the amount collected.
"It is an unfortunate accident. The collection and transfer (of the donations) into Parti Keadilan fund should be transferred to the state account and then we can work on that," he told reporters after launching the Service Centre under the Selangor Government Plan to Create a People's Economy (M.E.S.) here Monday.
Abdul Khalid also said he would personally write to the companies concerned to thank them and to ask whether they were pressured to donate for the celebration.
However, he believed that the companies had contributed to the fund sincerely without expecting any favour from the state government in return.

tunku : another scam unfolds or else all the money in pkr's account. pas and dap will only get mineral water fot their thirst.dap and pas should be wary of pkr.after all the de facto leader is a crook.

"An unfortunate accident", or maybe it's an early sign of amnesia in PKR and the rest of Pakatans?

it's only a storm in the tea cup. the media is spinning it and turning a mole mound into a mountain. these are only hiccups experienced by newcomers. compare this to toyo's time and the balkis issue and we can say this government is much more transparent. give them a chance.
