'It’s going to be one hell of a Parliament'

"It’s going to be one hell of a Parliament with a bigger Opposition and I look forward to it,” said Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz, the minister in charge of parliamentary affairs.
Nazri, who was retained as a Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department in the new Cabinet line-up, will only hold the parliamentary affairs portfolio.
He will no longer be in charge of legal affairs and judicial reform, which have been handed over to Datuk Mohd Zaid Ibrahim who will be appointed as a senator in order to become a minister in the Prime Minister’s Department.
“I’m happy. Parliament is now a full time job with 82 Opposition MPs, so I will have my hands full,” Nazri said today. “Opposition MPs are savvy, they know their stuff, and they come prepared. The prime minister has shown his seriousness about parliamentary debates by not appointing any parliamentary secretaries.
“No more unprofessional answers by parliamentary secretaries. For the BN, the lowest level of representation in parliament is the deputy ministers and I expect them to know their stuff.”
Nazri said it was a wise decision to appoint a separate minister to look after legal affairs.
He also said he was happy that the Indian community was represented through Datuk S. Subramaniam who is Human Resources Minister.
“I was worried that after the Indians rejected the MIC in the general election, no Indian would be given a ministerial post,” Nazri said. “Overall the whole cabinet line-up is good and shows that the prime minister has listened to the signal given by the rakyat that they want new faces and more professional people.”

tunku : by seeing nazri debating in parliament is just like seeing animals in the zoo.i hope nazri will change his debate style and gives more facts than shouting up and down in the parliament. i would like to thank those who have been parliamentary secretary , you had cover the job for the ministers and their deputies all these while but nazri had labelled you people as unprofessional debaters.

I couldn't agree more with you, my dear Tunku, that Nazri is treats parliament like a zoo. Why? Perhaps he has got otak udang brains and he only knows how to shout and cakap haprak like chimpanzees. I was surprized that Pak Lah did not drop nazri like he dropped the rest. Perhaps Pak was about to strike off nazri's name when he dozed off and snored...and when he woke, he had already forgotten he was about to drop Nazri. Have a nice day, my dear Tunku and don't think too much of nazri otherwise you may end up like one of those animals in the zoo..ha ha ha.....

Nazri should not be appointed a Minister as he is one of the major reasons for the recent BN's dismal performance in the General Elections.

Belittling close to 2,000 Bar Council protest few months ago, he even said that polling box was the the right way of demonstration. And that advice went into so many of the voters who decided to vote against the party which Nazri represents.

His approach is indeed very damaging, but I just wonder why Pak Lah rewards him...
