RESIGN NOW CHUA SOI LEK

I am the one in the sex DVD, says Chua
LABIS: Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek admitted he is the politician in the sex DVDs circulating in Johor.
In a press conference here Tuesday, Dr Chua said the girl is his “personal friend”.
He apologised to the Malaysian public, his supporters and colleagues.
He said he did not make the tape himself.
Dr Chua said he will not resign over the sex DVDs. He will leave that up to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to decide.
“I have seen the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and MCA president Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting and I have personally apologised to them,” he said while reading from a one-page statement during a press conference here Tuesday.
Dr Chua, who was clad in a yellow batik shirt, added that he had met up with Abdullah on Monday.
Asked about the reactions from Abdullah, Najib and Ong, he said that it was better to get a reaction from them as he cannot comment on their behalf.
Dr Chua vowed to continue carrying out his duties as a minister, MP and party leader.
Asked about his political future, Dr Chua said: “I leave it to my party members, leaders and the Malaysian public to be the judges. It's not for me to speculate.”
The sex DVDs, on two discs, show Dr Chua and a woman engaging in various sexual antics. The two DVDs had been circulating in Muar, Tangkak and Batu Pahat over the past few days.

Forgive me but I have to differ on this issue.
I think first of all, if you are concerned about him having a wife and family, you should ask him to divorce his wife and leave a good part of his wealth to her. That would be more reasonable because I think the one most hurt in this fiasco is the wife.
Secondly, professionally, he didn’t have it taped for his own amusement. He didn’t have sex at the Minister’s office like Clinton did in the Oval room. Someone filmed him from 4 ANGLES!
Thirdly, so far his health policies have been great. The govt hospitals and the standards of the doctors and nurses have been hugely upgraded as their welfare have been taken more seriously since he took office.
Fourthly, the rakyat should be educated enough to judge a politician by his policies, work ethics and his service to the people and not to rely too much on his private life.

I’m a tax-paying citizen of reasonable intelligence. If I’m expecting politicians serving me to be 100% morally pure and at the same time very able in the office as a public servant, then I’m asking to be screwed more visciously than the woman Chua Soi Lek made love to in the hotel room.
As a rakyat, I’m looking for a person in office who can uplift the welfare, economy and everything else that effects my pocket and safety of the nation. What he does in his private time and outside the govt buildings, he will have to answer to his family and God, not I.
If I want an Imam, I’ll go to the Masjid; Preist, I’ll head for the church; Monks and Samys,I’ll head for the temples. I don’t look for them in politicians. I’m afraid. I caught one on the Mimbar giving out a sermon in Anwar Ibrahim before who turned out to be a power abusive and corrupt leader.
I know of one ex-Member of Parliament who was an honourable religious teacher turned politcian. He had 100% attendance in Parliament but I never heard him debate. Instead I was told he even slept while in Parliament and in official functions in the Division. (this even before Pak Lah took office, so the PM didn’t have pioneer status on this).
Bottomline. If I need to repair my shoes, I see a cobbler. If I need a haircut, I see a barber, and if I need to pray behind an Imam, I’ll go to the Masjid. If I need a politician, I won’t look for one who can repair shoes, cut hair and be religious while formulating and implementing govt policies.
Get him to divorce his wife and make her rich, but don’t ask him to resign unless his ministry’s policies suck.
Don’t expect political leaders to be religious. Heck! Even clerics are knowned ass-jockeys, and they’re supposed to serve God!!! Expect politicians to be politicians, nothing more. If you do, you will be less disappointed and in some cases you will even be satisfied.
Just be grateful that your sex with your husband (if you’re married) in a hotel room isn’t posted on youtube. We shouldn’t worry about a Minister having consensual sex in a supposedly private room on an unofficial visit. What we should worry about is that if a Minister’s privacy can be violated by a hotel operator during visit Malaysia Year, what guarntee is there that the rakyat’s privacy is protected everytime we walk into a hotelroom?

I fully agree with you, tunku. Soi Lek should resign with immediate effect and should not burden PM to think what sort of action he should take! DS Ong should also advise Soi Lek to step down , if you want to save MCA from bashing in next GE. Your wife and family can forgive you but can your voters do likewise?

Perempuan tu bibi no 2 kot ?
Itu sebab tak nak resign.

Argument, kalu menteri Islam ada dua bini jadi dia pun ada dua bini, OK lah tu. Agaknyalah.

Da Real Deal kata memang betul, yg paling rasa terluka dan terhina adalah isteri dan anak-anaknya. CSL should put himself in the shoes of his wife and children and start thinking or he is also HP6 that could not think anymore. If so resignlah.

Kalau kat Jepun dah bunuh diri dah.

HP6 will stay with team of HP6.

Agaknya lah

da real deal,

we are not expecting them to be religious and perfect as we are not too but he is a minister, and lots of people have seen him doing with a woman (so his private parts too), so do you think the staff will respect people like him anymore.regarding the policies he is not the only one there doing it,he only bring suggestion / ideas to the cabinet, everything is prepared for him.
for god sake we are not western country and our religion does not allow such act, so don't make it as a natural thing.as a leader we have to shown example to the ones we lead.forgive me too but i have to differ too.:)

Firstly, I cant imagine how he can still go to office. Not because of the feeling of guilt, but isnt he ashamed that so many people have seen him make love? In a society, we must preserve a 'healthy' enviroment. By saying that, I mean, we must not allow immoral acts go unnoticed. That's rule number one. Of course everybody makes mistakes, but when it's made public and we do nothing about it, we are in a way condoning it. We must remember that doing nothing does not always mean that we are neutral. If the government does not take action, what would the citizens think? "Oh, it's ok if I am immoral, as long as I do my job properly I should be ok." The fact that he was taped is irrelevant, since the act is wrong not because he is taped, but because he cheated and had sex with another woman when he is already married. In this respect, it is a social and moral responsibility for the ruling government to take a stance.

When I was in school, before every Physics lesson, our teacher (who was not a Muslim) always asked us to recite some prayer. And one thing she asked us to pray from God was that 'Make me a better person and then only make me good at Physics!' =). I thought her idea at that time was quite unique. She believed that no matter how good you are at what you do, it means nothing if u have bad morals.

I know he has done quite a good job so far but who's to say that there isn't someone else out there who is morally better and does an equally good job as well, if not better? The issue here would be to weigh up his success as a health minister against his immoral act. Is his success as a minister enough to weigh out the immoral act that he did? I don't think it's quite there yet. Unless he comes up with a cure for cancer in the next 24 hours =P (even then,it's still debatable), I don't think it's justified. We are not looking for a politician-cum-priest (eventhough the idea of that seems interesting), just someone who has a decent baseline level of morals. Sometimes a firm stance is needed to be taken in situations like this so that the people understand that no matter how good you are or how rich you are, morals come first. Malaysians should remember, Datuk Seri Anwar was sacked on 'alleged' sodomy which was never proven and I remember Dr M saying that he sacked him because he didnt want 'someone immoral on his cabinet'. (Since they couldnt convict him of sodomy, corruption was later used). It would be interesting to see what Pak Lah does this time round since he is generally know to be a Mr Clean (or is it Mr Nice Guy?).

In order to progress as a nation, we shouldn't settle for second best. To assume that there is no one out there who is good at making policies and also a morally good person only sets us back as a society. Those qualities can co-exist, no doubt, we only need to find it.

The success of policies is relative, but cheating on your wife with another woman? Hmmm...I think that's kinda an absolute. =)

Gee, and I thought the general idea in the rakyat's view should be the politician should never screw us by being corrupt!

Mahathir should have been more concerned that Anwar was a corrupted leader who abused his power to the max. Ass jockeying should be second in the list!

Tunku, its ok to demand everything under the Sun from our Ministers but don't you think before askingg for the world, we should at least give them the salary befitting our demands?

How can we continue to pay our Ministers peanuts and yet complain about getting monkeys in return? If we pay peanuts, we deserve monkeys.

Tunku- tumpang lalu..occassional reader....been reading all the comments. Hubby is a health worker (doctor lah) and said that he has not been a bad minister (high compliment if u know hubby) so his departure will definitely be a loss unless of course Mr Super Health MInister is allready there waiting in the wings. Having said that, there really was no choice for him but to resign..even in permissive societies like the UK and the USA people have resigned for less...Sorry apart from being shocked I find it "hee-hee" funny to think of my minister having sex- much like you never think of your parents indulging! And he should stop moaning lah about agendas etc, no one's butt on the DVD but his..

William Jefferson Clinton, had his knob polished in the oval room and went on to be the one of the best Presidents America ever had. If he was running in place of his wife right now, he'd mop the floor with Obama. I don't remember him resigning so, your reference to the US of A is irrelevant.

Malaysia version of Edison Hong Kong is just round the corner. As Chu Soi Lek shouted "I am not the first nor the last", there is another famous sex mania Ooi Chuan Ann (Jeff Ooi). Last spoted having sex with under age student at election office. Search for the photos.
