Don't Be Hoodwinked By Opposition Pact - Muhyiddin

PUTRAJAYA, Jan 16 (Bernama) -- Umno vice-president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has reminded the people not to be deceived by the opposition alliance as the pact is merely for purpose of the coming general election.
Muhyiddin, who is Agriculture and Agro-Based Industries Minister, described the pact between Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), Pas and DAP as a political gimmic to give the impression that they were united and ready to form an alternative government.
"There's nothing new in the opposition alliance. On the surface they seem to be cooperating but in essence, they are trying to outdo each other," he told reporters after the pre-launching ceremony of Showcase BioBisnes Mardi 2008, here today.
Muhyiddin was asked to comment on the move by the opposition parties to form an alliance to launch a blitz on parliamentary and state seats currently held by Umno.
He said that Umno was prepared to face the oppositions irrespective of whether they were in a pact or individually.
Muhyiddin also questioned the promise by PKR advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim that the opposition party would give bigger subsidies if it won the coming 12th general election.
"The subsidy borne by the government at the moment is RM40 billion. I am urging Anwar to show how he would go about implementing his plan," he said.

tunku : let them pact with anything they like ,they even can pact with satan. the government just do their best and the public will decide in the general election. no point talking about their gimmick etc, public want to see the government works, not talks.walk the talk.

DAP n PAS?
What a joke, a pact between two sides of a spectrum. Such a pact really fools the public. Fools those who are loyalists to PAs and even those who are loyalists to DAP.
What on earth is PAS trying to drum against UMNO, infact it should ensure clean, competitive govt for Malaysia, by giving positive criticisms of the UMNO govt.
Obviously Malays are stoned with PAS attitude, they were silent all the while when HINDRAF hooligans spew hatred against Malays and accused Islam's place in Malaysia.
PKR and DAp when n supported the idiot lunatics.

Now as an Islamic party, it wants to make pact with hypocrites of PKR and DAP anti-muslim maniacs who have utter contempt of any move deemed or connected to Islam.

Greatly dissapointed with PAS' double talk.!
