Pak Lah Receives Green Beret ? Oh no.

MERSING, Feb 13 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi was today accorded the honorary green beret by Army chief Gen Tan Sri Ismail Jamaluddin.
The ceremony steeped in military tradition was held at the Special Operation Force (GGK) parade ground at the Iskandar Camp here.
The GGK green beret was brought by several commandos, who alighted from a Nuri helicopter which landed at the parade ground.
They then boarded a special operation vehicle to hand over the green beret and a blue commando lanyard to Ismail who then put them on Abdullah, who is also Defence Minister.
The Defence Ministry, in a statement, said the green beret was a symbol of chivalry, bravery, sacrifice and professional accorded to warriors.
"The green beret is accorded to only those who deserve it and those honoured with the award are accepted as members of the Special Operation Force," it added.
Present were Abdullah's wife, Datin Seri Jeanne Abdullah and 21 GGK commander Maj-Gen Datuk Awie Suboh.

tunku : there is no more meaning for this green beret after it was awarded to pak lah.according to them green beret was a symbol of chivalry, bravery, sacrifice and professional accorded to warriors, pak lah none of them. if he receives medals from anywhere, that is ok,but green beret,NO WAY. he don't deserve it.

The Green Beret is for people who are fearless. He doesn't even dare put a Crippled Benggali in behind bars for rediculing our former Commander in Chief!! The Army has lowered its pride and honour. Their colours should be flown at half mast.

Salam...
Saya setuju Pak Lah dianugerahkan Beret Hijau.

Mungkin.
