Karpal: Police reports don’t scare me

PENANG, Feb 8 – Be prepared for the consequences, DAP national chairman Karpal Singh cautioned those who lodged police reports against him over his move to file a suit against the Perak Sultan.
Karpal, who is also Bukit Gelugur MP, regarded the police reports as threats.
“Don’t fool around with me,” he told a press conference at his office here today following the police reports lodged by Tanjong and Balik Pulau Umno Youth over his action to sue the Perak Sultan.
On Friday, Karpal was reported as saying that he would file a suit against Sultan Azlan Shah and the new Perak state government following the removal of Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin as Menteri Besar and his government, which was claimed to have contravened the Perak Constitution.
He said Sultan Azlan Shah was the state’s ruler and should have abided by the Perak State Constitution, which gave him the position of Sultan.
On the two police reports against him, Karpal said Umno could not intimidate him since it did not receive the people’s trust in the last general election.
Asked whether the police had met him to take his statement, he said they had not, so far.

tunku : i think karpal is going over the limits.he should be very careful when challenging people's sentiment.a lot of things can happen.do not go over board karpal.don't think that you are "protected".there is a say in malay "kerana mulut badan binasa".try to look into the meaning carefully.as police report doesn't scare you, we are afraid that people are not "scare" too.
don't forget our Rukun Negara ( National Principles ).If you dont know here it is :
* BELIEF IN GOD
* LOYALTY TO KING AND COUNTRY
* THE SUPREMACY OF THE CONSTITUTION
* THE RULE OF LAW

* COURTESY AND MORALITY

if you still can't understand it, please go migrate somewhere else.

The Malaysian Government should ask Karpal to give back his passport, MyKad and tell him to Podah !!! he can go anywhere except staying in Malaysia. He is too arrogant as if Malaysia belongs to his grandfather. Do that in India lah or in Australia !! No respect for Rukun Negara. That goes to other 'Malaysians' too....Not happy, can go somewhere else.

banyak bunyi pulak Karpal ni.cuba kalau PR yang dapat menang negeri lain dengan cara Anwar semestinya Karpal akan turut menumpang gumbira.lagi satu kalau Pakatan Rakyat tak wujud,UMNO lah yang sebenarnya memegang Perak sebab mereka paling banyak mendapat kerusi berbanding MCA,DAP dan PAS.

Jangan salahkan Karpal, org Melayu sendiri yg biadap kpd Sultan.
Nampaknya ramai org Melayu yg telah bersedia utk menolong Karpal,LKS,LGE dan Anwar utk menjadikan negara ini sebuah republik.

Yes I agree. According to your words,if don't you understand then migrate! So since the Rukun Negara says Supremacy of Constitution and loyalty to King, obviously it also means the King has to follow the constitution!! So according to your logic, you migrate not Karpal!
