Tax Write-Off Is BN Secret Weapon For Kelantan

KOTA BAHARU, March 6 (Bernama) -- The Barisan Nasional (BN) is confident that the writing off of various outstanding taxes in Kelantan totalling RM76 million proposed by the coalition would be welcomed by the people in Kelantan and influence them to support the BN in the poll on Saturday.
Kelantan BN election director Datuk Dr Awang Adek Hussin said the people of Kelantan were greatly concerned about financial matters and the writing off of the outstanding taxes proposed by the BN would be most welcomed as it was posing a heavy burden on them all this while.
"I'm convinced that the tax write-off will be welcomed by the people of Kelantan generally and the sincerity of the BN in championing their cause need not be questioned further," he said in an interview broadcast live by RTM tonight.
The tax write-off is stated in the BN Kelantan Manifesto.
Awang Adek, who is also a Deputy Finance Minister, said the BN pledge was among the best efforts to `rehabilitate' Kelantan after the general election.
"BN guarantees a clean leadership and would lead in a fully professional manner besides being people-friendly and this sincerity should be received positively.
"What is important is that it is for the people of Kelantan who had not been looked after by the ruling (PAS) government," he said.
Commenting on the growing number of opposition supporters declaring that they were leaving the party, Awang Adek, the BN candidate for the post of Menteri Besar if the coalition wrested Kelantan from PAS, said that many opposition supporters were beginning to realise the lies made by their leaders.

tunku : why only kelantan and not other states? so afterall is good that opposition hold the state at least government is promising lots of thing to get it back. so next time maybe voters decide to give one term to opposition and after bn promises, get it back.

So Kak Tunku, it appears that you concur with what I wrote to you earlier relating to BN's promise to reduce car park fee...
