Khusrin's appointment: Palace hits out at S'gor leaders

PETALING JAYA: The Selangor palace has hit out at state leaders for making inaccurate and misleading statements, and for attempting to incite hatred against the Sultan over the appointment of new state secretary Datuk Mohd Khusrin Munawi.
The palace singled out statements made by Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim, Sri Muda assemblyman Shuhaimi Shafiei, state speaker Datuk Teng Chang Khim, and Kampung Tunku assemblyman Lau Weng San.
It described as inaccurate the statement made by Khalid that the Sultan of Selangor did not have the power to accept or reject candidates nominated by the Public Service Commission.
The Sultan’s private secretary Datuk Mohamad Munir Bani also lambasted Seri Muda assemblyman Shuhaimi for making an offensive remark in his blog on Dec 30 describing the Sultan as “beraja di mata, bersultan di hati (King in the eye, Sultan at heart)”.
He said such a statement could be construed as warning the Sultan, and inciting the rakyat to hate the Sultan.
He also pointed out a news article on Dec 29 quoting Lau as saying that the appointment of the state secretary need not be made by PSC.
Munir clarified that for Selangor, the appointment was under the purview of the Federal civil service commission.
He also pointed out that Teng could not convene an emergency state assembly meeting without the consent of the Sultan.
He said this in response to Teng’s claim on Tuesday that an emergency state assembly meeting could be convened without the consent of the Sultan.

tunku : that is why i am saying that khalid is a moron mb.he doesn't know anything about the constitution.he is doing what is told to him by others.he's not using his own brain.how can he said that the Sultan does not have any say/power in the appointment of the SUK. the Sultan consent/signature is a must.same goes for the so called emergency state assembly meeting that they are seeking which can't be convened without the consent of Sultan.even it is passed in the assembly(that too if they have 2/3 majority) it still need Sultan's approval.so basically khalid is wasting his time, the state government precious time on things that are beyond his hands.

The Sultan's press statement by his private secretary is very diplomatic to the moron Menteri Besar.

But in pasar selayang words, it is like the tauke telling his worker, hei mamat dol kalit, kau bangang, tolol and bodoh lah.

Obviously the MB has got his nose cocok like a pig (supposed to be kerbau). He's dumb and brainless. Must remove him out fast from the post.

It's time for Khalid to look behind and remember his roots. A bit of poor given to him by the people does'nt mean that he has everything. Wait for your downfall, and then you will realise who you are. Look at the people around you. Wake up!

1. I seriously view this sad state of affairs as something to be loathed at, vehemently protested, and specifically condemned.

2.You loath at someone who despite holding an important political and administrative position seems to be at a loss and rather 'stupid' in his understanging or rather NOT understanding of the related provisions of the Federal and the State.

3. You protest not only at his ignorance but more at his bad attitude and stubborness. He has failed his voters , his supporters and his party. His lack of decorum and bad taste of thoughts and actions speaks volumes of the kind of inefficiency and incompetency his party seems to produce in the form of leaders.

4. You condemned this guy for allowing himself to be made a pawn. That he has not seen through the veiled attempts at ridiculing the Malay royalty, the state administrative provisions, the given powers of the top government personnel at both the state and federal level, is testimony of his inability and un-suitability to hold an important administrative
position. Being led by the nose in matters of the state is bad enough; to react foolishly and certainly un-intelligently deserves condemnation of the highest degree.

5. If 'moron' aptly describes such a character , then how about increasing the stake and use the term 'idiot' instead ? The people of this state deserves a better leader , certainly NOT this product of a party which of late seems to be led astray by so many incapable leaders !

In life it is always prudent not to declare victory too early. GOD works in mysterious ways. We can do all the planning we want but GOD has a plan for all of us. Lest we forget 'The Humble Will Not Stumble.
I pray that GOD will treat Malaysia kindly.

I like the comment by Burung Merbok, especially point number 3.
Belittling Khusrin, a civil servant, in the mass media is very rude and unethical. All the descriptions he made about Khusrin seems to fit the MB perfectly: poor command of the English language, incompetent, etc.
Whereas Anwar Ibrahim regarded this case as petty and a distraction to the Selangor administration, the MB is going for the overkill, proposing to amend the constitution. What a contradiction!!!
