Johor, Singapore can become single growth region
SINGAPORE, FRI.: Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman sees Johor and Singapore evolving into a single growth region in the not-too-distant future due to the interdependent nature of their relationship.
“It is obvious that Johor and Singapore have very close ties, through investments among other things, to the extent that it can be said to be interdependent,” he told Bernama here today.
“I expect that, in the very near future, the two will become a single growth region.”
Abdul Ghani was here to accompany Sultan Iskandar Sultan Ismail of Johor during the Ruler’s two-day visit to Singapore from yesterday.
tunku : what a pity ghani, you have scrapped the FAZ idea, otherwise it would really become a reality that both region will be one and everyone can do business freely even selling sand.
