BN Prepared To Face Keadilan In Ijok Polls, Says Selangor MB

SHAH ALAM, April 11 (Bernama) -- The Barisan Nasional is prepared to face any Parti Keadilan Rakyat candidate, including its treasurer Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim, in the Ijok state by-election this month, Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Mohamad Khir Toyo said Wednesday.
"You can write that we are prepared to face Tan Sri Khalid," he told reporters here when asked on the possibility that Khalid, who was former chief executive officer of Perbadanan Nasional Berhad, would be contesting the seat.
The Election Commission (EC), Wednesday announced that nomination would be on April 19 while polling would be on April 28.
The seat fell vacant following the death of BN assemblyman Datuk K. Sivalingam in India on April 4.
In the last general election, Sivalingam defeated Abdol Raman Moharam from Keadilan with a majority of 1,649-votes.

tunku : for this by election in Ijok, my full support for BN.Keadilan will never deliver, they never did so far and most of all it's lead by ex prisoner who had tarnished our government image during the so called "reformasi" time.but BN should beware of the fight within the umno camp in selangor.there are some group trying to tarnish khir toyo's image but i believe khir toyo will lead and win this by election with flying colours. the opposition will never perform and can't perform if the win, what have they done till today, take kelantan as an example.what has kelantan achieved?the opposition pact is a very loose pact,it's marriage of convenience.so keadilan bring anyone khir toyo is not afraid to face you.
