Another well played drama by PKR

Kapar MP postpones naming corrupt Selangor officials

KLANG: Kapar MP S. Manikavasagam has postponed naming several allegedly corrupt top officials in the Selangor-owned Kumpulan Semesta Sdn Bhd (KSSB).
Manikavasagam was scheduled to name the officials in a police report at the Klang district police headquarters Tuesday.
The company, which is wholly owned by Selangor's Mentri Besar Incorporated (MBI), is the state government's sand mining firm.
Meeting reporters outside the police headquarters Tuesday, Manikavasagam said he had postponed lodging the report after attending an emergency meeting organised by PKR MPs on Monday.
“We had a meeting at a hotel in Ampang and my PKR colleagues told me to hold on till Friday to give the state government time to form an independent body to investigate the matter,” said Manikavasagam.
He said nine PKR MPs including Indera Mahkota MP Azan Ismail, Ketereh MP Abdul Aziz Abd Kadir, Tanah Merah MP Amran Abd Ghani, Kuala Langat MP Abdullah Sani Abdul Hamid and Ampang MP Zuraida Kamaruddin had attended the two-hour meeting, chaired by Telok Kemang MP Datuk Kamarul Bahrin Abbas.
“Several others who were not able to attend the meeting had called me and I respect their views and the initiative taken in calling for the meeting, said Manikavasagam.
He said all the MPs had collectively agreed that the independent body must not include Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim.
“The MB heads MBI and this makes him an interested party in the event the independent body is formed and investigations are carried out on KSSB,” said Manikavasagam.
He said he would lodge a police report naming the corrupt officials in the state's sand mining company next Monday if the state government did not form the independent body by then.
Manikavasagam said he was pushing for KSSB to be investigated in his capacity as PKRs public complaints bureau director.
“I am doing my job as several people from KSSB had come to see me with allegations that some of the company's top officials were indulging in corrupt practices,” he said adding the complainants had also gone to see several other Pakatan Rakyat elected representatives in February.
It is believed the complainants had gone to see a DAP MP as well as a DAP assemblyman and a PAS assemblyman.
On another matter, Manikavasagam lambasted PKR Padang Serai MP N. Gobalakrishnan for asking him to quit for pursuing the matter.
“I am doing this not to create problems in the party but to ensure that corrupt practices do not take root in Pakatan Rakyat.
“Gobalakrishnan should concentrate on his constituency in Kedah and not butt into affairs in Selangor. Anyway, who is he to call for my resignation,” he added.

tunku : the above scene is just another well played drama by pkr to divert issues on internal problems.if this is true, they should have discussed it earlier before bringing it to the press.manikavasagam need not reveal the names as most of them are corrupt.mani is mad as he had not received any from KSSB. gobala is busy in KL and in his constituency more than a thousand pkr members joined MIC.

Hi

Isnt therea law or requirment, if a person "declare" that he is privy to knowledge or evidence of a crime, the Police or MACC can the call him in to interview him.

If there isnt a law "institute one NOW", otherwise anybody can "main wayang".

For that matter, Statutory Declaration must be accomapanied by evidence, otherwise charge the bugger.

While at it review "parliment imunity".
