Swirling rumours as September 16 looms but what about September 10 ?

KUALA LUMPUR, Sep 3 - An anonymous text message purporting to highlight key dates leading up to the plans by the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) alliance to take power by September 16 , has begun making the rounds, but opposition leaders have denied being responsible for the message.
Ending with the words "from pkr", the message claims that some Barisan Nasional (BN) component parties from Sabah and Sarawak will begin an exodus from the ruling coalition by Friday.
And by Saturday, BN parties from Peninsular Malaysia will also signal their exit from the coalition, with the exception of MCA and MIC, the message alleges.
The SMS message goes on further to state that ten unnamed BN MPs will then join PR parties by September 7.
By September 10, which is next Wednesday, the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Badawi will have resigned, paving the way for Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to fulfill his pledge to take over the Federal Government by September 16.
PKR vice-president R. Sivarasa disclaimed responsibility for the SMS message, pointing out that "anonymous SMSes shouldn't be taken seriously," and that the details and the sort of ideas listed in the message did not give it any credibility.
"People have been enthusiastic and keen about September 16, so maybe this is born out of someone's exuberance, but I wouldn't treat it with any credence. It's not like there's been an avalanche of such SMSes," he added.
Datuk Anifah Aman, an influential Sabah Umno MP who has been continuously mentioned in crossover speculation, called the SMS "fictitious" and said that "anybody can have a dream but they are dreaming too far."
He said that among East Malaysian MPs, "nobody really cares about September 16 because we are busy visiting our respective constituencies during the fasting month and preparing our debates for the budget."
Anifah also poured scorn on the takeover plans.
"They are always crying out for democracy, transparency and justice but is this the way? How will people think of them going through the backdoor? That's not democratic anymore."
Anwar, PKR's presumptive Prime Minister candidate, has continuously asserted his plans to form the federal government by September 16 and there has been recent talk of entire BN component parties crossing over.
There has also been speculation that Anwar is seeking an audience with the King, although he has responded to such report by saying "not yet."
With September 16 looming, there has also been intense speculation about who would be members of an Anwar Ibrahim Cabinet.
DAP Secretary-General Lim Guan Eng touched off a round of speculation this week when he said in an interview with a Chinese-language newspaper that his father Kit Siang would get a senior appointment.
This resulted in speculation that Kit Siang would be appointed Deputy Prime Minister in an Anwar Cabinet.

now both PR and BN is in chaotic mode.

both PR and BN are too concern over this issue.the jumpover might be true or not.in fact it's just speculation being uttered over and over again by Anwar.

PR shrieked about democracy but if they wanted to rule the country using tactic rather than the proper approach, then i dont see PR as a democratic party.more or less they just another hyprocrite willing to demean oneselef to achive their target.

Ada baiknya sebelum Anwar beriya-iya nak tubuh kerajaan baru, beliau tunggu nasib beliau pada 10 September 08. Mana la tau beliau benar-benar melakukan liwat... Tapi yang pastinya jika Anwar disabitkan kes liwat, mesti beliau hanya akan kata semua tu adalah konspirasi nak menjatuhkan dirinya..Entah sampai bila pun tak tau la, Anwar akan berhenti menggunakan modal lapok ni...

Come on can everyone grow up! Unless someone is willing, how can you get to screw someeone at the back! If I've a beautiful girl friend why on earth do I want to mess up my sex life with such idiotic act? I think common sense is the least common among most people in our country! Or we are just being blinded by our own biased belief and demeanor!

What has happened to Bronaga? In my opinion, Najib should not have apologised, it should be Dato Ahmad Ismail himself who must apologise.

A politician should be responsible for what he utters and for what he does.

Another thing, Bronaga, your statement is quite seditious. If everyone starts writing like you, this blog will then be the same like others which we have criticised!

Kami tetap ingat Anwar.
