Mubarak's Views On Power Transition Different

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 17 (Bernama) -- The Former People's Representatives Council of Malaysia (Mubarak) Wednesday stated an opinion which was different from those of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and his deputy, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, on the power transition agreed by them to take place in June 2010.
Mubarak, which held a special meeting of its Supreme Council Wednesday, repeated its views that the power transition process should take place as soon as possible, before the Umno general assembly on December 16 at the latest to avert an upheaval within the party.
Its president, Tan Sri Abu Zahar Ujang, said the decision was reached unanimously after listening to the views and summaries of 34 of 36 Supreme Council members. Two members were unable to turn up.
Abdullah and Najib Wednesday reiterated their commitment to the power transition period which had been fixed before, and in the Umno election in December they would defend their respective posts as the party's president and deputy president.
Abu Zahar said the power transition agreed upon was an understanding but it had to be referred to the Umno general assembly in December.
"The leaders must heed and respect the Umno constitution where all the rights of members cannot be disregarded," he told reporters after chairing the meeting here.

tunku : it's not only mubarak but others too feels the same.they want the power transition process to take place as soon as possible but pak lah is smart, he gaves najib, MOF so that najib will be happy and forgets about the transition plan temporarily.pak lah took over defense ministry(what is he trying to defend)?by right they should have appointed someone else as the defense minister. pak lah should not had taken it if he really want to resign sooner or later but may be some BIG reason behind it.pak lah as the president and kj as the youth chief, what a combination for umno's destruction.back to mubarak views, they we supporting pak lah before the election,af ter the election then only they realized that they were supporting the wrong man.better late than never.

"they were supporting pak lah before the election,af ter the election then only they realized that they were supporting the wrong man"

is it really because Pak Lah is the wrong man or they have some issue with him before?

i dont think Pak Lah give a s**t about what other people think as long as he do his job.there's will always be someone who likes and dislikes us.the easy way to deal with it - just do our job!
