Call for Tajol Rosli’s exit

IPOH: Calls for a leadership change in Umno took a step further in Perak, with Datuk Seri Mohamad Tajol Rosli Ghazali being urged to resign as state Umno chief.
Kampar Umno division chief Datuk Mohd Radzi Manan said the call was raised during a meeting between state Umno leaders and the party’s management committee.
The closed-door meeting, chaired by Umno secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, was held at Perak Umno headquarters here yesterday.
Among the central leaders who attended the event were deputy president Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, vice-presidents Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam, information chief Tan Sri Muhammad Muhammad Taib, Umno Youth chief Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein and Wanita chief Datuk Seri Rafidah Aziz.
Radzi said Tajol Rosli had failed to give the state any direction since Barisan Nasional suffered huge losses during the March 8 polls.
“Until today, he has not given any signal on what needs to be done or issued any statements on the direction of the party in the state,” said Radzi, the former Tualang Sekah assemblyman.
“Our leaders must be forward-looking, be able to unite everyone and have the ability to move the state machinery,” added Radzi.
It was learnt that members also questioned the way certain individuals were picked as candidates for the elections.
Radzi said the general mood was for a transition in leadership, starting with Perak and then the central level.
“The people, and Umno members in particular, are waiting for changes to be made by the central leadership,” he said.
Radzi said many people had accepted the declaration that Najib would replace party president Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
“The question now is when and how,” he said.
“The groundswell is within Umno itself. We hope the central leadership will not ignore this. If not, Umno will become irrelevant.”

tunku : may be tajol is still crying, he cries a lot.before the election he cried after the election don't ask, his resident was flooded with his tears.he can't accept the election result.this is a problem leaders like pak lah, tajol and mahzir khalid don't understand that they are losers and should step down.they still want to cling on. people are fed up and they might leave the party if nothing is done.we hope more opposing voices in umno to make things right till these people leaves the leadership.we need new blood to lead.

Tajol won his seat, didn't he? Tajol is a nice man and when he was MB, a lot of people like Radzi bodek/ampu him, but now, he is no more MB, they ketuk him and want him to resign. Where is their gratitude? If Tajol wants to continue to be Perak UMNO chief, let him be. After all he still has got the support of the people

Dear anonymous,
Tajol won no doubt but Perak fell to Pakatan. Radzi respect him as his boss, but if tajol cannot carry the burden of revamping the machinery to win back we need a new leader my dear! Bodek and respect is a diferrent thing altogather. Radzi is not the bodek kind. Hes trying to put things right.
Which people are you talking about? what support? The people round him are as confuse as Tajol. Thats why we lost miserably. You guys sould do a consesus of the real people out here in the streets of Perak about the support for tajol!

Tunku, i think you would agree with me that Perak Umno needs a new leader, I do not understand some people they cannot accept reality but chose to bring down somebody who is brave and vocal enough to point out the truth. Why ! Malays have that kind of attitude please keep up with te ever changing world and give people space to say the truth maybe thats not a bad idea, getting somebody else, Leaders come & go but Umno is here to stay. Please, if somebody suggest something like that which means they love the party and its people.
Take it in good and positive aspect for the love of the party.Do not come out with grandfather story as this will never end.MOVE FORWARD! BRAVO RADZI!
