Chua Wants Sabah BN To Consider Giving Another Seat To MCA

KOTA KINABALU, Aug 8 (Bernama) -- MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek wants the Sabah Barisan Nasional (BN) leadership to consider allocating another state or parliamentary seat in the state for MCA in the coming general election.
He said it was appropriate that MCA be given another seat considering the party membership in Sabah which had increased to almost 30,000 people in 25 divisions.
"It is also in line with MCA's vision to meet the request of the Chinese community in Sabah to be represented by a party based in the peninsula," he told reporters after opening the Sabah MCA annual assembly, here Sunday.
Chua said that despite the increase in MCA membership in Sabah, the party was only represented by one elected representative, Kapayan assemblyman Datuk Edward Khoo Keok Hai.
He said it was time for MCA to play a more prominent role in meeting the needs of the Chinese community in Sabah.

tunku : after failing miserably in peninsular, now they want more seats in Sabah.how can they think about asking it?we hope Najib will not entertain this "stupid" demand from MCA. it is better for Najib to give the seat to the local parties there.MCA need to prove themselves first in the next election that they are asset to BN and not a burden.then only they have all the right to demand. CSL,go and work hard, not making stupid remarks and demands.

Chua Soi Lek should drop the idea of demanding a MCA candidate to stand in a Malay majority area. MCA should only stand in Chinese majority areas and show that the Chinese still support MCA in PRU13.
Let the Malays in Malay majority areas chose between UMNO, PAS or PKR.
The Malays has realised your true intentions of the Chinese to rule Malaysia and sidestream the Malays as in Singapore!
