PAS leaders are now buying time before making a ‘do or die’ battle in the coming general election – meaning go alone or with the opposition pact.
Threading carefully on a tightrope – not to antagonize partner DAP and PKR while trying hard to comfort the rising anger of party members – PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang was given no choice but to pacify members by putting up a stand.
Simple as it might seem, the stand actually sent ‘shivers’ to other Pakatan leaders because PAS, despite being fundamentalists and orthodox in many ways, still attracts Muslims of all ages.
Compare PAS with PKR, PAS has more support and real members who are loyal and obsessed while PKR is presently shaky with many ‘jump ships’ given the dwindling credibility of Anwar Ibrahim.
While PAS members at grass root level are speaking out loud against the party leadership for ignoring or sidelining the Syura Council on the use of word ALLAH, PKR and Anwar do not even have any qualms in going along with DAP on the issue.
In fact, Anwar’s statement in Sabah where he ran down PAS spiritual leader Nik Aziz Nik Mat and Abdul Hadi had affect the already sour relationship between the two parties and this does not augurs well for their ‘political relationship’.
DAP Karpal Singh had come out with statement to ‘cool down the rising temperature’ by saying all parties in the opposition pact were working well and agreed on most major matters except few small matters.
That was Karpal’s statement, a PR piece for public consumption when he himself knows that the opposition pact is like a boat being struck by huge waves and at the verge of collapsing.
The political relationship is very volatile at present and with the general election nearing, Karpal tries hard to make the political relationship work stronger but the circumstances right now are inevitable.
Issues involved are not superficial but they touched on fundamentals especially with PAS as they involved the party’s ideology on Islam, the most important element the party claimed has been struggling for.
Abdul Hadi has no choice as the pressure from party members may have tremendous backlash on the party, so he stressed that PAS would have no qualms to break off from the opposition pact if the partners did not respect PAS’ ideology.
This simply means PAS may just break off because the party members and supporters are getting restless with Anwar’s statement that did not reflect any respect for PAS or the party leaders.
Worse when he and Karpal still insist on Abdul Hadi to get the Syura Council to ‘toe the line’ of Pakatan’s so called ‘wisdom just to win the votes’, regardless of whether the means to the end are right or wrong or haram or halal.
Given such scenario, it is best that PAS leaders take the decision to split from the pact than being ridiculed, shamed and under pressure from loyal members and supporters.

Why Is Deepak Still Single?
In Deepak Jaikishan’s latest ‘bombshell’ to end what SUARAM had failed to do, that is to ‘link the Prime Minister and wife to the murder of Altantuya, a Mongolian model alleged to be an ‘interpreter’ for the overall transactions of the purchase of the so-called ‘scandalous’ scorpene submarines which was totally done in English language’, he made shocking revelation on Razak Baginda, a former political analyst who was dismissed as a prime suspect in the murder case, as being sexually impotent.
Baginda was suspected to have had secret affair with the late model but no proof was presented to the court to confirm the story.
Bringing up Baginda’s name and humiliate him with such allegation must have seemed to Deepak as a necessary thing to do as it would be the only convincing excuse to link the deceased to the Prime Minister, and totally removes Baginda from the picture.
In all the gusto, Deepak must have forgotten the fact that Baginda is a married man with a daughter. Of course, Deepak could easily shrug the fact off by saying that it is only recently that Baginda has suffered the problem, since the daughter was born in 1987.
But, this would lead us not to a conclusion or an answer or a proof of Deepak’s allegation, but only to further vagueness. Words can’t proof anything and as far as we know, Baginda has proven that there ain’t any problem with his manhood and he has a daughter to proof it.
For Deepak to suddenly surface with this story after all the fuss in court regarding some bad business dealings was settled, only convince us even further that there is something more that Deepak is after. Or else, why would Deepak pick up the pieces from SUARAM and go down the same route of the imaginary scandal and all?
However, there are comments from observers of Deepak’s case in court that may give us some answers. Many claimed that Deepak seemed stressed out, lost, uncomfortable, even hesitant at times as the trial went on. Some even suspected him of having lost his mind for having lost a huge amount of money in quite many bad dealings.
But looking at Deepak closely, I mean really closely, we may understand where did the whole allegation of sexually impotent came from.
Deepak Jaikishan a/l Jaikishan Rewachand is 40 years old. Until recently, he is described to be very successful, coming from a family “pioneering” in property development and investment. It is reported that under his leadership, both his Carpet Raya Sdn Bhd and Tek Holding Sdn Bhd (the property development and investment company), chalked billions. Bursa Malaysia notes that from 2000 to 2009, Deepak had completed property investment projects totalling about RM3 billion.
In the carpet manufacturing field, he initiated and successfully acquired the largest manufacturing plant in Malaysia known as Noble Carpet Sdn Bhd.
In the year 2000, this manufacturing unit was said to be the only one that produced its own carpet yarn. In 2003 he set up the biggest manufacturing plant (Premier Weavers) with the latest weaving technology in Malaysia. He has been in the carpet business for 15 years.
With all these soaring success, there is only one thing missing in Deepak’s life that is: a woman. Deepak is a single, successful man. In other words, Deepak is alone, no woman, no wife, no kids, no family, no nothing, but money. Oh well, the last one can be debated.
It only makes sense that the only one with ‘manhood’ problem is Deepak himself, not Baginda. Accusing Baginda of having such problem may be a form of ‘denial’ of his own inability which is a common psychiatric response for a man who has long been suffering the condition. This could lead to a depression, even mental problem.
If so, this wouldn’t be the first time the Oppositions hiring a mentally-problematic man to tell all the tales for them. Raja Petra Kamaruddin, believed to be the original script-writer of all these murder-bribery scandal drama, was also diagnosed with mental problem in his teens. But Raja Petra had since last year, made a U-turn on the road where Deepak is now strolling.
But then, there is also another explaination for a 40 year old successful man to stay single, that is, he is not interested in getting married, or in other words, he is not interested in women or in a simpler way to put it, Deepak is a gay.
What a co-incidence that the Oppositions too, are not strange in hiring gays to do all sorts of work for them. Which, reminds us of Judge V.T. Singham who is known to be very pro-opposition and in many cases had made obvious biased decisions in favour of the oppositions. And just like Deepak, the Judge is also around the same age, and very successful and very single.

Xenophon criticised for interfering in Malaysian politics
MELBOURNE: One of Australia's senior commentators has taken maverick independent senator Nick Xenaphon to task for his "foolish or cynically self-promoting" episode in Malaysia on Saturday.
The Australian's foreign editor Greg Sheridan said Xenophon's call for the Australian government to monitor the forthcoming Malaysian elections was "stupid and impractical".
Sheridan also accused Xenophon of "campaigning for just one side of Malaysian politics, the Opposition".
He said Foreign Minister Bob Carr was right to make his response to Xenophon's deportation as low key as possible and to agree with his Malaysian counterpart that the issue would not affect relations between the two countries.
"Carr should take no further action on the matter, nor is he likely to," he said.
"Xenophon wants the Australian government to send electoral monitors to the forthcoming Malaysian elections. This idea is stupid and impractical," Sheridan said.
Citing electoral problems in Vietnam and Cambodia, Sheridan said Malaysia "on any measure is one of the most democratic and freewheeling nations in Southeast Asia.
"Its elections are certainly not perfect, but they are better than in most parts of the world.
"Indeed, its very openness allows people such as Xenophon to grandstand there."
Xenophon was detained soon after he arrived at the LCCT terminal in Sepang at 6.40am on Saturday.
Immigration director-general Datuk Alias Ahmad said Xenophon was denied entry as he had been listed as a prohibited immigrant.
He was deported the same night.
Xenophon, who attended the Bersih 3.0 rally, is known for his long-standing and active campaign against the palm oil industry.
tunku : even Australians knows about this joker xenophone character better than some morons in Malaysia.this guy is a very close friend of anwar.he is a strong supporter of LGBT. he is also active campaigning against the palm oil industry which is the main business for Malaysia. does anwar want this person to jeopardize the Malaysian economy?

Dong Zong Taking Baby Steps towards 1Malaysia
Many are skeptical about Dong Zong’s invitation for the Prime Minister,
Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak to visit its Chinese New Year Open House in
Kajang today. Some even suspect it to be a nasty strategy to embarrass
the Prime Minister. Some, even worried for the PM’s safety.
It is also reported that Dong Zong too, invited Anwar Ibrahim to the function. Although we welcome the idea of having the two ‘enemies’ together in a harmonious celebration, we are skeptical that it is an act of ‘openness’, nor is it an innocent co-incidence, on the part of Dong Zong.
However, as the PM has agreed to attend the function in good faith, so, we, as rationale Malaysian, should have taken his move as an example. It’s best to not be prejudice about the whole event and hope that Dong Zong has enough morale value to not invite the PM who has accepted their invitation in good faith, just to deceive him.
Dong Zong has been very hostile with the government, or the Malays, to be exact. Dong Zong has never accepted the fact that they have to oblige to the common law of the rest of the society, that is to uphold Malay language as their first language, English as second and Mandarin as third. Dong Zong has been hammering the government into giving them a permanently ridiculous privilege of building another ‘China inside Malaysia’ - meaning having separate schools and universities just for the Chinese, that have nothing to do with the national education.
Certanily, there is just no way that the government, or any government at all in the world, would ‘kow-tow’ to this NGO’s ridiculous demands.
Despite millions of ringgit being contributed by the government to this ridiculousness of separating the races in schools, it is never enough for Dong Zong.
Yet, the government refuses to fight fire with fire, and in every way, is trying as best to consider the demands just to keep things in order which is never appreciated by Dong Zong.
But their appreciation is not what we are expecting for because it’s just impossible for a ‘kiasu’ to appreciate anybody but their own.
The only thing the government is hoping for is for Dong Zong to finally understand and learn the skills to live in a multiracial country, that is, to accept the fact that they are in a Malay majority country and that the Malays are the original residents. We also hope that Dong Zong would finally learn about good values like respect and toleration, and also appreciation – or how to say ‘thank you’, ‘sorry’ and even ‘excuse me’, towards different races.
The people sees Dato’ Seri Najib willingness to attend Dong Zong’s event despite all sorts of skeptical theories being around, as an act of valor, a true leader, a sincere, almost humble personage.
On the other hand, we see Anwar’s response to Dato’ Seri Najib’s attendance as an act of boast, and hypocrisy.
When asked about the probability of running into the PM at the same event, Anwar had spoken very boldly about the Pakatan Rakyat’s recognising the Chinese independent schools’ Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) and pointed out that the PM might only be responding to it a month before the general election. What do expect from Anwar but turning everything, including Chinese New Year celebration into a political contest.
But then, for him to choose the subject of UEC as a ‘point’, is like shooting his own foot.
Anwar was known to be a Malay champion since his early days in UMNO. He was not very shy of showing-off his ‘racist’ side when speaking to the Malay youths way back in the 70s when he was just a student and all the way through to the 90s.
It is a known facts to all political observers that the Biro Tatanegara (BTN) was ‘owned’ by Anwar for he had turned it into a platform to glorify himself as the Malay champion. Through BTN, he was able to ‘recruit’ many youngsters to be his loyal followers by portraying the image of a Malay hero. Of course, this, could only be achieved by instilling ‘racism’ at the same time.
In a BTN’s program in Langkawi, 2nd December 1993, Anwar had stated it out loud that the Chinese, the Indians, are immigrants and that we should never tolerate any demands of these quarters to sideline any clauses in the constitution or the social contracts which spells the exclusive privilege of the Malays.
If it were up to Anwar, and not the former Prime Minister at the time, Tun Mahathir Mohamed, we foresee the Chinese and the Indians would be far from where they are today.
That was history, and today, history has also recorded Anwar’s changes of stance, views and personality. But ‘changes’ may not be the exact definition of what is happening to Anwar now. Perhaps, the word ‘varieties’ of stance, views and personality, would be more accurate.
Anwar is now showing Dong Zong his ‘chinese-friendly-loving’ side, but try to follow him to his talks in Kedah, or Kelantan or at any given Malay majority area, Anwar would then show his ‘Malay champion’ side where he would tell the Malays that he is not a leader where the Chinese can expect to even voice ridiculous demands like what Dong Zong is doing to the PM.
And try follow Anwar to an Indian majority area, you would be able to witness how he turned into a ‘Sivaji the Boss’, if not the Tamil’s legendary hero, MGR, in a blink.
Or, follow him to the US, you would see a ‘Malay-looking Jewish’ speaking as a true democrat, a liberal to the core, who believes in total freedom and the rights of Israel to occupy the land of the Palestinians and that the killing of the Palestinians are collateral damage.
Anwar had even become a Huguan Siou of the Kadazandusun’s, where he played the role as the champion of the Christians!
With these knowledge in mind – the history recorded and being recorded, it would be a joke for Dong Zong to even think of giving support to Anwar, instead of Dato’ Seri Najib in the next election.
And therefore, we would like to believe that Dong Zong had invited the Prime Minister to their CNY’s celebration, in good faith too. This may be the NGO’s beginning to open up to the facts and reality - that the Chinese is never in threat of losing their roots under the BN’s administration and that the BN has never and will never abandon them.
We too, would like to wish Dong Zong a Happy Chinese New Year! We would be more than happy to welcome the Dong Zong into our ‘world’, should Dong Zong be more flexible to learn the skills of living together and be united, in a true sense.

DONG ZONG’S FIRST EVER INVITATION AND NAJIB’S ACCEPTANCE IS A STEP INTO A NEW ERA FOR CHINESE EDUCATIONISTS AND GOVERNMENT
Good sense seems to prevail now among Malaysians as the hardliner
Chinese educationists association Dong Jiao Zong has extended a
‘friendship hand’ to Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak to its Chinese New
Year celebration tomorrow (17 Feb).
It is considered a historical move because the movement has never invited the country’s PM to its CNY celebration in its 50-year of existence and this first is considered significant in many ways.
Najib, since he took over the premiership in 2009 has open up so much with his transformation policies that the movement, in one way or another probably sees a leader who can ‘connect and understand’ its objectives.
Whatever the movement thinks at present, the invitation marks a softening of the hardline stand the movement has all along put up and a ‘recognition’ of sort to Najib’s leadership.
Najib had also done a lot during his time as Education Minister those days and when he took over as Prime Minister, he began taking down the fences by giving recognition to Chinese education, schools and institutions, of course done after thorough anaylsis of the whole subject matter.
Najib has so far been sincere in every moves and he has fulfilled every words he made and trying his best to fulfill all other promises made by the previous administration and he is not shy to admit such.
Dong Zong’s invitation to Najib and the openness the movement now shows reflects its intention to listen and speak out for the best interest of the Chinese education and the government.
And Najib, by accepting the invitation reflects his readiness to listen and be part of the participant to try bridge the gap that has been existing the past 50 years.
Najib’s simple and non-assuming character will be reflected tomorrow when he attends the event, without much ado – no speeches and no press conferences – just be present to celebrate the event.
After all, it is an event for celebration to renew and strengthen friendship and relationship as Malaysians, as a leader who is sensitive to the needs of all Malaysians.
And of course, the oppositions, headed by non-other the chameleon Anwar Ibrahim will also attend, a decision made after knowing that Najib would be present.
Anwar, who was dead set against Chinese education when he was Education Minister, has changed his tune as he chases his dream to be the Prime Minister.
He now treats Chinese and Chinese education as equal to what he championed before – Malay language and education as well as Malay supremacy.
And tomorrow, he will sing the tune of the audience and dance to the tune the audience wants, typical of Anwar’s character who will promise the stars and the moon.
And of course, the DAP may even plant people like the party did in Penang last weekend just to shame Najib, an act of desperation as the party tries every ‘dirty’ trick to discourage the Chinese from supporting Najib and BN.
However, on the final analysis, the invitation which is the first ever extended and the acceptance by Najib have ‘broken the ice’ and the oppositions are now thrown off balance.

Interview With Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad
Although his age is almost reaching 88 years (Date of Birth - July 10, 1925), the former prime minister goes to his office each working day while on weekends, delivers talks when invited to do so.
He also actively writes, in his Che Det blog besides contributing articles to The News Straits Times and Utusan Malaysia.
In an interview with Bernama journalists Abdul Aziz Harun, Massita Ahmad, Zairulliati Mali and Prem Kumar Panjamorthy at his office here recently, Dr Mahathir shared his thoughts and hopes on the importance of unity among the races in Malaysia, the upcoming general election, economic matters and the future of national automobile maker Proton, of which he is the advisor.
Below is the full transcript of the interview:
Question: Tun appears to be very healthy. How is Tun keeping up because after 10 years of retiring, Tun is still very active?
Tun M: Generally, I can still move, can talk, even go horse riding, but of course when old there are times to a certain extent, fatigue and illness like cough set in, it's all normal. But about doing work, I do my work as normal. I go to the office on working days and even on weekends, I am invited to give talks, so I work full time. Thank God I still can.
Question: There are some people who upon retirement retire completely but Tun is still active, does Tun have targets still to be achieved?
Tun M: Before, when I was a practising doctor I used to advise anyone who was retiring to continue to be active because once we retire and don't do anything, we will be susceptible to fall sick. This is what I observed. A lot of people on retiring withdraw from society, this is not healthy. That is why I took my own advice, that on retirement must remain active and my passion is still in the realm of politics, that's why I am still active in politics. Because I want to take care of my health and I'm still interested in political developments in our country.
Question: Any other activities besides politics Tun?
Tun M: I read a lot of books, I write this and that, I have a blog, I also write articles for (The New) Straits Times, Utusan Malaysia, and I get many letters from abroad which I try to reply. In addition, many people come to see me from within and outside the country and as far as I can, I try to meet them. These are my activities. I also try to exercise a bit, do the treadmill, sometimes lift dumbbells, go horse riding, walking, these are normal for me.
Question: In every (general) election, the situation for the contesting parties is "do or die". In the next election, is it the same?
Tun M: The situation is different. Cracks in our society in general have become so much deeper. In my time there was also division especially among the Malays, who belonged to different parties, but support for Umno was very strong and the general populace was more interested in supporting Umno than other parties. Even when there were splits like when Tengku Razaleigh (Hamzah) set up the Semangat 46 party, they were not able to draw many Umno members. Datuk Seri Anwar (Ibrahim) was a bit more successful but still could not defeat Umno. That is why the BN's (Barisan Nasional's) victory in 1999 was still very big although there were many Malays who thought that Anwar had been persecuted and thus withdrew their support (for Umno) but the Chinese were solidly behind the BN, we still got two-thirds (majority).
But later, we got an administration that did not focus on the people's needs, but instead they more interested in enriching themselves and things like that. The leaders were also the same, leaders at all levels were also looking for opportunities from politics to line their own pockets. Because of this the people began to lose their trust (in the BN). But (Prime Minister) Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has taken steps to correct the situation and has somewhat succeeded.
Question: Voters under the age of 40 are young voters. How was the scenario before this? Because there some who say 40 per cent of the voters now are aged under 40 years. Before this how was the young voters' support for the government?
Tun M: Before, young people went through the early days (of the country) to now. For example, the young people first went through the time when there was not much development in Malaysia, in fact we were considered a backwater country then. Then they saw rapid changes taking place during their time and they appreciated the changes. But the youth now were born after the country had developed. For them, this is the country they know.
They did not experience the situation when the country was poor, when they did not have opportunities to work, did not get a chance to get a good education, did not get the chance to become professionals. Before no. Now this is considered normal. And when we consider something as commonplace we do not really appreciate it. We only appreciate it when we get something we never could.
But they were born at a time when our nation was already advanced and for them this was something normal. So they do not appreciate it and instead are exposed to influences from the West such as freedom and much more, and they feel they are not quite free. Still restricted in this and that. They see in the West everyone is free to do what they like, and this causes them to be dissatisfied.
They want more freedom and so on, so they want to see change happen. For them change will come only if the opposition wins in the general election. Because the opposition has promised to bring about change. But whatever is said by the BN, for instance, is not effective. Although it is true and real but not effective because they are obsessed with the belief that a change in government will make a difference in their lives. This is the reason why the situation is different from the past.
Question: The approach adopted by Datuk Seri Najib may differ from before to reach out to the young people, is the approach working well so far?
Tun: There is some success but not enough because the of situation of the party, according to the people's perception, is not so good
Question: Perhaps there is much to be done by Datuk Seri Najib?
Tun M: He does not have much time left, very soon there will be the general election, how much more can be done. Anytime (the general election), so we have to go down to the ground, see as many people as possible and so on, (it's) difficult. So, it's a problem. New problems will arise and to address these problems it will take time, and he now is running out of time. But I think he has done his best. He works very hard.
Question: How was Tun's own experience? With the election nearing, there appear to be many demands from within the party and outside the BN. They are just taking advantage of the election to make all sorts of demands?
Tun M: During my time the people will not know when the election will be called, so before they make any demands the election will be upon them. But if we wait till the last minute to dissolve Parliament, there is no longer the surprise element. So the closer the election the more the demands.
Question: But Datuk Seri Najib needs time?
Tun M: Yes, I believe he needs time.
Question: Quite drastic demands from the non-Malays, how does Tun see him to be able to balance these demands with those within the party and also from outside parties?
Tun M: We are in a quandary. For instance, demands made by opposition parties that touch on the position of the Malays. If the Malays want to answer, if they don't answer well, they will look like racists. They place more importance on race than a Malaysian race, so we find the Malays do not want to answer for fear of being accused (of various things). Thus they only feel angry. They cannot fight back, they get angry but this is not so effective. This is a problem for the Malays and also a problem for other races because we see now there is greater polarisation compared to before.
Question: Perhaps this is a touchpoint that needs to be addressed by Datuk Seri Najib, striving for greater unity?
Tun M: Yes, we have 1Malaysia and so on but it's a slogan. We should get acceptance from all races, but I notice that the response is coming more from the Malays only.
Question: So much more remains to be done for the non-Malays? When more is done for the non-Malays, demands from within the party (Umno) also peak.
Tun M: I think the demands of non-Malays've have been entertained a lot. But when they think they will be the kingmakers in the (upcoming) election, they will come up with all sorts of demands.
Question: What about unity in Umno, because before it seems that the BN fared badly in the last general election due to internal weaknesses rather than the strength of the opposition?
Tun M: I think the situation has eased a bit. Before, of course if not chosen as a candidate, the person replaced would make sure the candidate selected will lose. But I see now this has cooled down a bit. They have made pledges that they will not sabotage, but we have to wait until the election to know whether they will hold to their promises or not.
Question: Tun's advice to them?
Tun M: They should remember that if this practice of sabotaging continues, even if they are the candidates they will also lose, they will also be sabotaged as well. The important thing is not their winning, it is important the party wins. For the party to win, the party's candidates must be given victory. Whether we like the candidate or not that is other question, if we don't let him win, the party will lose. If the party loses our position will obviously come under threat.
Question: What is your message to the Chinese voters?
Tun M: Since we became independent in 1957, the cooperation among the Malays, Chinese and Indians through Umno-MCA-MIC-Gerakan had brought a lot of progress to our country. It made our country stable. Because these three races agreed to share power. Because we shared, not Umno took all for Umno or MCA took all for them, but we were willing to share.Because we were willing to share (power) our country did not exhibit chaos and with that the country was able to be developed. If today, every race wants everything that they demand, this will result in other races not feeling satisfied, hence the country's stability will be affected and if it is affected, progress will not be achieved, the economy cannot grow and all of us cannot enjoy the benefits.
All races should understand this especially the Chinese who do business. They cannot do business in a situation where racial riots are happening.
Question: In Kedah, how do you see BN's chances?
Tun M: We have never lost in Kedah until 2008. Usually we won two thirds (majority) in Kedah. But disappointment and dissatisfaction cropped up among a majority of the people of Kedah who are Malays. They were disappointed and they made a decision not to support the BN. They voted for opposition parties even though they said they "felt painful" to do so. But I found out that now they have faith again in the BN and I am confident that there is a big possibility that BN can win in Kedah.
Question: So now arises the question of who will become the Kedah Menteri Besar (MB)?
Tun M: Who will become the MB, that is not important. What is important is winning. If we do not win no one can become the MB. If we continue to sabotage, the party will lose which means there will be no MB. Can become the opposition leader, now we already have an opposition leader in Kedah. If you want him to remain as opposition leader, then go ahead and sabotage.
Question: Thailand's Deputy Prime Minister is said to have met you in Langkawi for finding a peaceful solution the conflict in southern Thailand. Did the meeting really take place?
Tun M: I met with the governor (of southern Thailand) but I did not discuss specifically regarding this matter. We (my delegation) learnt that their government wants peace in southern Thailand but it will not be easy because the rebels there are split. Even if there are parties who agree to cease the insurgency, others might not agree. So while one party might sign an agreement (for peace), the others might do bombings and the like. This is the problem in southern Thailand. If there is only one body fighting for their cause and the decision is to made by that body, then we can end the insurgency, but so far, what I know is that they are split into factions and sometimes individuals act on their own.
Question: But did representatives from the Thai government side also come to see Tun recently?
Tun: Yes.
Question: So can Malaysia play a role as it did in the Philippines (helping broker peace between the Moro National Liberation Front and the Philippine government) by getting the various factions (in southern Thailand) to unite?
Tun M: This is actually Thailand's internal problem, so we cannot at all get involved actively. However, there are these people who sometimes cross into Malaysia. So maybe we can try to persuade them to end their struggle, which can never be resolved, because they can never get independence.
That is what they have to accept. They will not get what they want even if they bang their heads against the wall. So we must accept reality, the truth.
Question: To become a developed nation in 2020, we must achieve an average of six per cent Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth annually. But, for last year and this year, GDP is expected to grow around four and five per cent only. Will this affect the target of becoming a developed country?
Tun M: If we cannot achieve six per cent per year, in terms of numbers maybe we cannot achieve (becoming a developed country). But we are of the opinion that what is meant by 'developed nation' is in our own mould. What is important is that the people get the infrastructure facilities, not only in the cities, but in the rural areas as well. If we take into consideration, now in Kuala Lumpur we have already achieved developed status, however, we have to give focus to remote areas.
Question: Is the (country's) 53 per cent debt ratio to GDP still considered to be healthy?
Tun M: I think it is still healthy. Our revenue is increasing. Our trade is still positive. So, even if we take into account the 50 per cent mark, we have to remember that countries like Greece for example, their debt (ratio) is more than 100 per cent. They may not be able to pay (their debts). We can still pay. We can still pay and we can see high returns on invesments. During my time, when Maybank made a profit of RM300 million we considered it to be very big. Now Maybank is making RM6 billion (in profit).
Question: Is our trade still dependent on the West?
Tun M: We are not depending anymore on the West. The west is deteriorating. Our exports to the West cannot grow and the West also cannot afford to invest at this moment. We find that our investments are coming from the East and our trade with the East is also growing. Our trade with China for instance is very good. . Our trade with Asean has also increased. So, we don't have to assess our economic progress based on our trade with the West. Instead, the assessment should take into account the economic progress Malaysia made around the world. Our exports to throughout the world are still on the uptrend, our surplus is still growing.
BNM (Bank Negara Malaysia) has US$42 billion in savings... during my time it was only US$30 billion. Our savings are huge, our saving is high... for example in Tabung Haji (the Pilgrims Fund). We have savings in PNB (Permodalan Nasional Bhd), many types of savings. There are also bodies like Felda (the Federal Land Development Authority). These are huge savings. We have big savings, very high.
Question: You have said that the country will become bankrupt if salary increments do not match productivity. Today, the government has increased government servants' salaries and stresses on KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). Do you still hold to that statement?
Tun M: I still maintain that salary increments must come with productivity, if not we will have high cost. We will no longer be competitive in the world market. Our country is a trading country where development depends on trade. If we do not compete with other countries then our economic performance will deteriorate, that is why it is important that salary increments must be balanced with productivity hikes. We must also remember that when we raise salaries, the cost (of operations) becomes very high ... for example, we have the minimum wage. To determine the minimum wage we have to do an in-depth research, because when we want to raise a person's salary, lets say his salary is RM700, we raise it to RM900, another person who is currently getting RM900, when he sees that a person under him is getting a raise to the same salary as he is, he will not be happy, he will also want a raise. When he gets the raise, the people above him will now feel unhappy. This will go on until the top level. This means it is not just a RM200 increment... the cost will run into the millions because the whole salary scheme needs to be adjusted to the minimum wage raise.
Question: Is Tun satisfied with DRB-HICOM?
Tun M: I am more satisfied with the current DRB-HICOM management then the previous management (of national carmaker Proton).
Question: You have said that Proton will never make cheap cars anymore, so does this mean that the car price will increase or will it come with better quality?
Tun M: It will increase (the price), but apart from that, the car quality will be enhanced, like the Preve model that we just launched, it was launched before it was ready to be launched, because of that, the first 1,000 cars launched had many problems, but the current Proton management have identified the problems and fixed them, so it is a car which has high technology, more or less the same with other cars (in the same range). So I hope the first impression regarding Preve can be eliminated, and they will use the Preve because it functions very well, not like when it was initially launched.
Question: At this time Tun, will Proton come back to glory because now we have brands like Toyota, Honda taking over the TIV (total industry volume)?
Tun M: I find that we are the only one who practice this open trade, we open our country to additional imports, so that cars from foreign countries come in, they are produced by giant companies which have recovered their overhead costs, all have been recovered, so they can sell (their cars) at low prices here because they have already recovered their investments, amortised completely because lets say they launch one model, they produce one million units, sell in other countries more than 900 thousand units and in Malaysia they sell 50,000 units, even if they reduce the price to half they still make a profit.
But Proton cannot do that because we produce limited numbers of cars of various models, our overhead cost is very high, if we are asked to compete with car manufacturers from developed countries, of course we cannot afford it, because now sale of Proton cars has decreased from 80 per cent to 26 per cent and we find that Malaysians themselves do not trust Proton, even if the price is cheap they will still not buy, even if the quality is good they will not buy because everyone wants to buy imported cars... because of the import brands and their reputations are so called better, but if we want to let Protion grow, if our own market does not want to help us, it is impossible for us to get help from other markets.
Question: So does this mean that Proton must focus on the export market?
Tun M: Yes, we must, and will go to the export market, this is indeed our plan, because our domestic market is too small, if we want to produce lets say 500 thousand cars per year, we must go to the export market, but at the same time our domestic market must accept us, if we open our country to too many imports, even though Proton produces quality cars and the price is cheap, but these foreign cars, regardless how many are sold, they still can reduce RM10,000 of the price, Proton cannot afford (to do that), because they (the foreign producers) gain profits in other places, they want to lower the price here so that they can penetrate the market, that is easy for them.
Question: And how about the green initiative?
Tun M: The green initiative, actually we talk a lot about the green initiative, many people do not realise.
Actually all cars (under the initiative) failed. Those who produced electric cars in developed countries, all failed, all could not achieve their set targets, but we are working on it, we also cannot achieve (the target), and so too on hybrid cars.
Hybrid (cars) too have not taken off and the battery cost is far too high, for one brand, up to four times of the cost of the car itself, a car that size using electricity, four times more expensive... who wants to buy?
That is why until now even though there is government subsidy, it (hybrid) still cannot sell. Not many Malaysian journalists know about this, but research should have been done to see what happened to companies which produced these electric cars, for example if they could sell it, what were their prices because the battery cost is very high? One battery is RM1,000, if we use 24 batteries means RM24,000, that is only the battery cost, sometimes more than that.
So, the conclusion is that if we want green we have to pay, but who wants to pay? People will think that if the price is too high, better for them to pay for instance, for ICE-powered cars, that is the internal combustion engine.
Question: Are you going to LIMA (International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition) this year?
Tun M: I have to go.. It is fun for me to watch aeroplanes.
Question: You are going to be 88 this year and normally for the Chinese the number 88 is 'ong' (lucky). So what are your hopes for this year?
Tun M: I do not know whether it is lucky or not, what I know is that I'm already 88. How long more do I have, I do not know, that is what is important. Sometimes even the young go first, but there is no escape for the old people.
Question: You are still active. You have retired for (almost) ten years but not seen to be slowing down.
Tun M: As long as we are healthy, we can work, why want to sit at home and do nothing?
Question: Regarding the election.. how about Pas?
Tun M: They can join Umno back but there must be adjustments. Like when they called three million Umno members as 'kafir' (infidels), 'murtad' (apostates), we cannot work with people who call us apostates. They must uphold Islamic teachings. That is not basic Islam teaching. In Islam you cannot simply call people 'kafir". In Islam you must be fair, fair means that you only hand down sentences after going through all evidence. But (Datuk) Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat (PAS spiritual leader and Kelantan Menteri Besar) easily says that all Umno members are 'kafir'. We have three million Umno members. Is it that easy to be called 'kafir'. Am I a 'kafir'? Now there is book 'Kafirkah Aku? (Am I a 'kafir'). This is all politics. This is politics to win the election. So that all his supporters perceive me as a 'kafir'.
Question: How about Anwar's (Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's) influence?
Tun M: Anwar just wants to become Prime Minister. He does not care. He will even sell his own soul. As long as he becomes Prime Minister. He forms Keadilan 'fairness' (Parti Keadilan Rakyat) not because of fairness, but because he wants to become Prime Minister. If he is the Prime Minister then only it is fair. Whatever it takes does not matter.
Question: But why in Pakatan they cannot come to an agreement who is going to become the Prime Minister?
Tun M: They (Pakatan) are not a coalition. Do not forget that this is not a coalition. BN (Barisan Nasional) is a coalition. It has one head. We sit together in one meeting. They do not have a coalition, they just want to win. After that when they become the government, PAS will go to one side, while DAP to the other side, Keadilan just want their leader to become Prime Minister, that is all.
Question: How do see youths' support for Anwar?
Tun M: There are youths who realise (what he is up to). But there also are youths who are influenced by the West for instance. The BN has ruled for too long, they just want a change that is all. It is because they were born after we have developed. So they do not know conditions before we were developed, so they do not appreciate it. They receive scholarships, they receive education too is because of us. But now the Malays are taught not to say thank you, not to be grateful. Accept the RM500 (1Malaysia People's Aid) but do not vote (for the BN), do not say thank you. This is the new Malay culture. Do not say thank you.

MALAYSIANS SEE THROUGH OPPOSITIONS’ LIES
Now the opposition is blaming Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak for their
failure to ‘convince’ Thai pathologist Dr Pornthip Rojanasunand to do a
second post-mortem on C..Sugumar.
They now put the blame to Najib, alleging the Prime Minister spoke to Thai Prime Minister not to allow Pornthip to perform the autopsy, not because they failed to convince her.
Opposition guys are very good at throwing allegations and make them look real and this is what they are doing with Pornthip’s rejection of their request.
They wanted to run down the police image as they have been doing all along so that when they run riot after losing the 13th general election which is to be held soon.
They know they are on a losing streak and they do not want to give up ‘just like that’ after years of trying – to them it is a case of so near yet so far.
They have cheated and lied and they succeeded many times since before 2008 general election but as nature has it, the truth always prevail and in the opposition’s case, the truth is emerging one-by-one.
Malaysians at large now realize and see through their game plan, their lies and cheats and their attempts in running down leaders and institutions that have been servicing the people loyally since the past five decades.
Now Malaysians at large see the truth n sincerity of the ruling BN and Najib in making their lives comfortable.
They see the scramble among the opposition leaders on the post of Prime Minister and they see the enmity between them.
Malaysians at large also see Anwar Ibrahim’s arrogance and Lim Guan Eng’s autocratic ways, the greed and the racial characters.
Malaysians at large no longer believe in them and whatever appear in portals and blogs of the oppositions are taken as only opinions of the writers paid to woo support, nothing more than that.
The truth is Malaysians are fed up and they want to live in harmony and peace. They want the future generations to live comfortably and they see the present government is doing much to see their dreams come true.
And they see the present government led by Najib does not lie or cheat. They know.

NAJIB, A TRUE STATESMAN WHO TAKES WHATEVER HAPPENS IN PENANG IN HIS STRIDE
Many videos have been put up on You Tube on Prime Minister Najib Tun
Razak’s visit to Penang especially the reply ‘YES’ and ‘NO’ to Najib’s
question whether the people of Penang is with BN or not.
Edited videos, re-edited videos, original recordings and whatever have been posted to compete in the fight to reveal the supposed truth, aimed at knocking into the minds and hearts of the voters their version of the episode.
THE REALITY is Najib took everything that happened in his stride as a STATESMAN, not as a ‘vindictive politician such as Anwar Ibrahim and Lim Guan Eng’ who are arrogant and ‘dictatorial’ just to achieve their personal ambition of being a head of state or a Prime Minister.
Najib, as a Prime Minister for all Malaysians regardless of race and religion, is a not even concern about the response because he is not a politician who wants popularity, who wants people to like him all along, who want absolute loyalty and so on.
Whether the response is a big ‘YES’ and a small ‘NO’, Najib is actually ready for anything when he went to Penang.
His intention is not to be popular but to see by himself the situation in the state, to view by himself why BN lost and what are the chances of getting back the state.
Going straight into the ‘enemy’s lair’ is not a child’s play and Najib did just that and he did not expect a rousing welcome where every stop people will drop everything they do and greet him like a King.
Najib expected the normal greetings – he is a politician and he knows what to expect – he knows the planting of people to jeer him or the acts of trying to demean and demonise him and all kind of stuffs that would run him down or bring down his image.
Najib knows all these will happen in Penang, because it is held by DAP, a chauvinistic party that wants to see Malay supremacy replaced and the Malay race become ‘second citizens’ or ‘beggars’.
Najib just wants to see by himself what Penangites want and how they perceive him – the real response rather than basing on reports from various agencies and channels.
He just wants to know and he does not care about the reaction because he wants to know the truth, the real truth on the ground, he wants to feel the heartbeat of Penangites by himself.
That was why he went on a real walkabout, ate nasi kandar in the night without any fear for his and his family’s safety because he wanted to know the true situation.
And the REALITY is Najib now knows the truth and the ‘YES’ or ‘NO’ is nothing to him because he now knows the truth.
And of course, the truth is there was a truly BIG ‘YES’ for him to take back Penang, as evident which right now frightens the opposition pact, real scare and not make-believe.

Pei Koe Jailed By Singapore For Being A Kiasu
We would like to congratulate Majistrate Muhamad Hidayat Wahab for
sentencing Leong Pei Koe, a Malaysian who recently received his
Singaporean permanent resident-ship over the charge of giving obscene
gesture to Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Hajah Haminah as her official
vehicle passed through Bayan lepas International Airport's departure
hall on February 13, and over the same gesture given to a police
officer, ASP Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid who was at the same place,
date and time.
Leong Pei Koe is sentenced to 30 days jail term and RM6,000 fine or two month jail term if he fails to pay the fine on the first charge, and 7 days jail term and RM2,000 fine or a month jail term if he fails to pay the fine on the second charge.
Leong Pei Koe is not a child nor a teenager, he is 29 years old. However, Pei Koe, just like any other Malaysian Chinese, cannot express their loyalty towards Malaysia. Instead, they still practice on their racism and their kiasu-ness.
Kiasu brings the meaning of refuse to lose, and Singapore was born from this behavior where the Chinese refuse to accept the fact that they would fall under the leadership of Malay government.
Being kiasu kills humanity. Moral values such as being humble and respecting others would never exist in people who are kiasu. In other words, they are often rude. So it is not surprising when Pei Koe continued showing obscene gestures even though he was warned by the police. He also said,"Malays do not have any power in Penang, because the state is owned by the Chinese."
Pei Koe seems to show the same hate which was shown by DAP back during the May 13, 1969 tragedy, It is clear that such spirit has never really sank and only proves that DAP still breathe with racism.
Actually, if you did or do have Chinese friends from other countries who are kiasu, you can see how being rude is something normal for them. Spitting into garbage bins, blowing their nose in public, eating like they have never eaten all their life, those are all part of their culture.
If you observe even closer, you will find that they would never say anything like 'thank you', or 'sorry; or even an 'excuse me' as part of their daily interactions. They would never even admit any of their mistakes, until they are stuck like Pei Koe. They are also often unashamed if their lies are exposed because to them, they are far more superior than other races and the world belong to them.
Do you still remember how Singapore remain quiet when Wikileaks revealed a private conversation between their leader with America where the Singaporean leader ended up describing leaders of other countries as 'idiots, 'slow', 'no credibility' etc.? Up until now, Singapore is still yet to apologize. Instead, they simply act as if nothing happened.
However, we cannot deny that not all Chinese are kiasu. Malaysian Chinese who live in rural areas or areas with Malays as its majority do have high moral values.
But other than them, especially Singaporean Chinese, are extreme kiasu. They often look down upon other races and they would never leave any room for other races to compete with them.
Sadly, Singaporean Malays are still living in denial. In some cases, we could see how some Singaporean Malays believe that they are born as second class citizens.
Even though many of us may have misjudged on the fact that even if not all Chinese are kiasu, they still hold on to one thing, they would never give any chance to other race in terms of work or business no matter how polite or hard working we are. They would only use as their 'network' or 'knowledge' instead.
And Pei Koe is the reflection of a true kiasu Chinese in DAP as well as PAP.
However, the question here is, what makes Pei Koe that brave that he could do such a thing? Is it because he thinks that he would be given the chance to meet with any Ministers and he would later benefit from what he did?

DAP BLUNDERS WITH THE PLANTED BOOING GROUP AND LONE PROTEST IN PENANG DURING CNY WITH NAJIB
Now the opposition plays up the shouts of “NO” that echoed during Prime
Minister Najib Tun Razak’s visit to Penang recently, the shouts by just
one corner of some 80,000 audiences.
Planted to boo Najib at the right time, the oppositions are now shouting that Penangites rejected Najib, the same old psychological tactics they play with Bersih and other NGOs shouting ‘foul’ on all matters and issues.
To the oppositions, a hundred voice planted can be played up into the minds of millions and lies will be perceived as truths, the same strategy they have been using since 2008 general election.
However, they miscalculated this time because the planted group was located among the 80,000 audience that came for the CNY bash that Najib attended where Korean Psy performed his famous Gangnam dance.
So, playing up the purported ‘BIG NO’ just do not go down well with the remaining 80,000-odd audience as they knew the group that shouted ‘NO’ was staged and planted.
At the same time, DAP which is chauvinistic and racist had also, the similar tactics used, got a young man to show obscene finger sing to the Queen, with of course, the excuse that the man was showing that sign to his father who dropped him off at the airport following an argument.
Believe it or not, the oppositions are under tremendous pressure to stay afloat as voters keep distancing themselves from the three parties which are now ‘fighting each other’ for votes.
DAP, PAS and PKR do not look happy – honeymoon is over – as people said and each party is now struggling to find whatever ‘edge’ to influence the voters who have seen their true colours the past four years.
Arrogance, the attitude or character that always emerge when one is successful and forgets one’s roots, is now hanging on the heads of all the leaders of the opposition parties as they scramble with each other to make their individual party stands out better than the others.
They do not have the spirit of camaraderie…as each wants to call the shots and do not want to play second fiddle to each other.
DAP is strengthening its influence among Chinese Christians as they move along the racial and religious lines to retain Penang, a state the party would not want to lose as it is the party’s symbol of success, just like the man who showed the obscene sign to the Queen said: “Penang Cina punya.”
But given the pressure they are in and the political approaches the party had made so far in the state, the situation is ‘touch-n-go’, it can swing either way which means that DAP under Lim Guan Eng has screwed up to strengthen ‘its hold’ on the state.
It has antagonized PAS with the word ALLAH issue, anatagonised the Malays with its central committee party election and how antagonized Penangites planting the booing group during CNY do with Prime Minister and having the man to stage a lone protests to see the reactions of Malaysians, particularly the Penang Chinese.

RIGHT OR WRONG, PAS IS NOT FOR ANWAR OR DAP
Right or wrong, whether PAS Syura Council discussed the issue or not,
PAS cannot deny the growing dissent against the political relationship
it has with DAP and PKR and most importantly support Anwar Ibrahim as
Prime Minister.
Open protests calling for the party to cut ties with the other two opposition parties are now a norm and PAS leadership has no choice but to listen and make amends as its influence is eroding fast among the kampong people, the party’s supporters who have been following blindly those days.
But these days, the kampong folks no longer follow the party blindly as they are educated or rather informed through the internet on the goings on and issues played up.
They know the demand and high-handed way DAP leaders such as Karpal Singh and Lim Guan Eng handle PAS leaders on issues involving the fundamentals of Islam.
They know Karpal and Guan Eng have been ridiculing their leaders and Islam and they are very surprise at the ‘no respect’ attitude of DAP leaders towards their leaders as well as Islam.
Not only that, even the PM post is dictated by DAP, not on concensus as PAS has always wanted the party president to be the Prime Minister, a post party members have dreamt off since the 50s.
PAS members who are the veteran fundamentalists have been struggling hard to have one of their own as Prime Minister and now, when they see Putrajaya is so near (that’s the hopes of all in the opposition) and suddenly some one else hijack the position.
They are not that generous to allow that to happen and they would not want the individual whom they do not trust and of low moral to be in that position.
They know Anwar and they know how damaging it would be if he is the Prime Minister because the veterans know Anwar’s character when they were together in ABIM and now in the opposition pact.
They know PKR is a party without ideology and concept…and they know PKR has no religious stand while Anwar is willing to sell everything just to be the Prime Minister.
Anwar is not PAS type of leader and his character is known to PAS veterans who always have reservations on his credibility and honesty as they now felt Anwar’s ‘hands’ trying to steer the party to his benefits.
They see all this and they do not like it, not when they are on a winning streak. So they felt Anwar is not the man for PM post and they will not support DAP and PKR on this.
The situation may see PAS going to the general election on its own while DAP may just dump PKR to relase the party of excess baggage.

Anwar Receives Malaysian Huguan Siou Title For Being Christian Friendly
Understanding how Anwar really wants to become a Prime Minister, he kept
on being honored by the people around him which might please him. Few
of the titles he received include ‘Sivaji the Boss’ and 'Miracle From
God'. Besides that, Anwar also like to describe himself as other great
leaders such as Mandela, Ghandi, Suu Kyi etc. All so that he would be
praised by his loyal fans.
Recenty, out of the sudden, PKR Ranau, Sabah decided to flatter him by awarding him the title of 'Malaysian Huguan Siou'. Huguan Siou is the highest title which can only be given to Kadazandusun ethnic.
The title was given to Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan. The title can only be given by Sabah Kadazandusun Cultural Association, a non political organization which has 40 ethnics in Sabah.
The title is a special award which is subjected under the jurisdiction of the Supreme Power of Koisaan where if there are any vacancy for the position, an Extraordinary Delegates Conference will be held to discuss upon the matter.
However, in a situation where no leaders deserve to be given such title, it will remain empty until the association finds anyone who deserves it.
That is how high Huguan Siou title is for Kadazandusun ethnic.
With that, it is weird, or even an insult, for Kadazandusun if anyone tries to 'create' the title 'Malaysian Huguan Siou'.
So it is not surprising when Anwar was criticized by Kadazandusun when the title was given to him by PKR Ranau.
As we all know, most Kadazandusun people are Catholic Christians, with a a few Protestants. Only a number of them are Muslims.
That is why, if it is true that the Malaysian Huguan Siou title was given to Anwar with blessings from Kadazandusun ethnic like what is stated by Anwar's side, then obviously it means more than just to show their support to PKR.
We are aware of Anwar's support when it comes to spreading Christianity belief, including apostating Muslims by Christian preachers. This is proven when Anwar supports the use of Kalimah Allah in Bibbles and he, through Khalid Ibrahim and Khalid Samad support the church which apostate Muslims.
Moreover, by cooperating with DAP which fights for the abolishment of 'Islam as official religion of Malaysia' clause, his stand on religion should no longer be questioned.
Thus, we are not shocked if it is true that the Kadazandusun themselves blessed the title Huguan Siou being given to Anwar. They should receive a lot of benefit from Anwar.
Not that we do not know that Malaysian Christians love to do the opposite from how Christians from overseas act. They include trickery and manipulation such as Malay-language Bibles and the use of kalimah Allah to replace the word of Christian God because this matter is opposed by Christians in other countries.
Besides that, Malaysian Christians also practice an open mind towards LGBT when Christians in other countries go against it. That is why some Christians refer themselves a Christians with Malaysian sect.
These Christians, especially DAP supporters, often put themselves above others.
That is why we feel that it is not impossible for these Christians to put culture, ethnic and Kadazandusun's belief lower than their 'Malaysian Christian' belief.
If this is true, then should Anwar's Muslim supporters celebrate the Huguan Siou title which he received?

After All The Trees Are Gone, What Would Azizan Do?
There is nothing anyone can do but to sigh looking at how PAS Kedah government destroys their own state.
That is why, it is not surprising why many are suspecting that PAS KEdah are not hoping for more mandate to rule Kedah for more than a single term.
Perhaps that is why within four years of their ruling, PAS Kedah had taken whatever they can get to collect all the 'gold' for themselves and their cronies.
Forests are cleared due to extreme logging which proves that PAS never really look forward, they only look at the present time, their single term rule. For PAS, things that would happen after their term would not matter because by then, their leaders and cronies are already rich.
Perhaps, at least that is what the excos and officers in the state administration office and companies owned by Kedah State Government thinks.
However, Kedah Chief Minister, Dato’ Seri Azizan Razak might think differently. That is why, still shows his interest to compete and win the next election to hold his position. Being famous for being a clueless Chief Minister, Azizan still fail to realize that his state is going under.
Up until today, Azizan still believes KUIN's Rector who said that KUIN is under control and KUIN does not have any huge issue. Azizan also believes in Sanusi, his Secretary, saying that logging activity in Kedah can be justified and all the criticizm are merely political game from their enemies. And Azizan also believe that Phahrolrazi will get to force Penang to pay for the water supply charge which was announced in Kedah Budget the a while back.
Azizan even believes in the President of Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Sobri, who says that he could bring in extra foreign investments to the Tech park without any support from the Chief Minister. The same thing goes to Bina Darul Aman which could implement their project with success as well as transparent. For Azizan, all the loss from the project in Papua New Guinea, Langkawi, Aquaculture and all state government projects are only small issues and they would not affect his administration.
Only depending on reports from his 'men'. Azizan kept on believing the things he chooses to believe that he never observe any of the issues himself.
Azizan do not realize that if he still holds his position for the next term, Kedah would have nothing to offer.
Azizan also do not know that after all of his excos, officers and their cronies are rich, Azizan will be blamed over their crime. By then, Azizan should take the responsibility for not taking any actions to stop the chaos.
People of Kedah should open their eyes and look at what is happening in their state. The only thing which PAS Kedah could think of in terms of generating income is extreme logging. If Azizan still leads Kedah by next term, what would he do?
It is time for people of Kedah to learn the importance of choosing the right party to rule their state.
Today, we witness how all forests are destroyed. Tomorrow, after everything's gone, it is not impossible that the state government would end up selling lands to the Chinese, including those from Singapore, like what has been happening in Kelantan.

Psy leaves Penangites wanting more
Dressed in white top and black pants, and with trademark sunglasses in place, K-pop sensation Psy thrilled an enthusiastic crowd at the Barisan Nasional Chinese New Year open house here Monday with two renditions of his mega hit song Gangnam Style.
A chorus of wild screams accompanied Psy and his group of more than 10 dancers, who worked the crowd up to a frenzy at the Han Chiang School field, where the event was held.
After the first rendition, the crowd, not having had enough of the South Korean star, chanted for an encore.
"I flew 20 hours to get here.
"I won't just leave after four minutes, so just for new year and Asia, I will sing it again," Psy said, before launching into his song-and-dance monster hit routine for the second time.
He left the stage at 12.30pm, leaving behind a sweaty but happy crowd of people.
Student Lau Han Keat, 14, who was among the many performers at the event, was awestruck watching his idol perform live.
"To sing and dance live in the hot sun like this is not easy. I was just so excited," he said.
Tony Tan, 61, who was there with his wife, described the open house as spectacular.
"We live in Batu Ferringhi but decided to brave the traffic.
"It's not every day that you get to see the Prime Minister and a music superstar," he said, adding that the atmosphere was very "lau juak" (happening).

OPPOSITIONS IN DISARRAY AND LOSING CREDIBILITY, SEEKS INDIVIDUALS TO PUSH THEM UP
The opposition parties are now using carpet dealer Deepak Jaikishan to
attract votes given the bad position they are in with internal frictions
and silent enmity and distrusts among the leaders and members.
Deepak, on the other hand seems to be ever willing as he is looking for a ‘saviour’ that can pull him out of the financial rut he is in at present.
As far as he is concern, he will grab whatever he can to stay afloat and put himself in a position where he can call the shot, make himself needed and wanted by those in need.
And he is lucky as with the present political scenario, the opposition parties particularly Anwar Ibrahim are in need of anything that can help them further tarnish and run down the image and credibility of ruling BN especially Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak.
Under pressure and facing erosion in influence and support, the oppositions are now targeting leaders in BN, attempting to relive the 2008 political thinking of the masses…which resulted in a political tsunami.
However, as time passes by, the thinking masses who are voters see the reality of the ‘game of deception’ and ‘politics of perception’ played by oppositions and Anwar personally.
Uneasy and the ‘make-believed game’ are exposed as the masses see the oppositions’ bluff as in a poker game, they now use individuals who are friends or former friends of BN leaders to strengthen or pump into the minds of the masses their ‘make-believed’ issues.
Thus, Deepak and even issue of Sabah CM distance cousin in the Philippines are being sought to ‘nail down’ BN leaders, an attempt to deviate the masses’ focus from their weaknesses and lies and cheats.
Nothing they revealed or exposed were true after further checks and investigations and this worry them as influence erode as fast as the revelations of their bluffs.
Given the situation they are in, it is no wonder they will not leave anything untouched as they do not want to lose the states they have won and the odds, as it is right now, are against them.
In Selangor, voters in every group, just name it, are suing the state government for promises unfulfilled while in Penang the divide between Malays and Chinese are clearly visible and added to that is the divide in religion.
In Kedah, the PAS government is antagonizing its partners by imposing fundamentalists laws, aimed at strengthening its support among the fundamental Muslims knowing very well that DAP and Chinese voters will not give a single vote to the party.
The opposition pact is actually breaking up despite the leaders’ statements they are united and working together well.
And this break up has cause the parties, especially Anwar and PKR to seek individuals like Deepak to help them.

DAP Is Responsible Over Increasing Number Of Crimes
Looking back at the history of Chinese migration during the tin mining
era in Perak, leads us to the history organized crime. The Chinese had
established a few triads not long after British took over Penang (1786)
and Singapore (1819). Since 1799, Chinese triads had began opposing
British administration in Penang. Few of the famous triads include Ghee
Hin (Cantonese) and Hai San (Hakka).
Few of these triads' objectives include gaining control over tin mines, labor trade, gambling and prostitution. Things got worse because in 1831, there were only 18 policemen for 16,000 in Singapore. Even the number of legal officers were too little to settle all criminal cases. Until 1856, there was only a single Judge in Straits Settlements. This only help develop Chinese triads.
Until 1867, no positive measures were taken to control the triads. The only measure taken by the government before 1867 was calling leaders of these Chinese gangs whenever there were chaos and asked them to keep everything in order.
After 1867, a few measures were taken to control these triads and they include:
a. Peace Preservation Act 1867
In 1867, Sir Harry Ord, the first Governor of Straits Settlements had passed this act. With it, the Governor has full power to sentence expulsion towards those who are guilty in threatening public order without any trial nor citizenship rights. Corporal Punishment and shooting towards demonstrators are allowed.
b. Registration of Establishments Act 1869
In 1869, the government had passed the Registration of Establishments Act which requires all organizations which has more than 10 members to register. They are required to mention all of their members' name as well as their posts and state the reason of their establishment.
c. Establishment of Chinese Protectorate 1877
In 1877, the government had established Chinese Protectorate which was led by W.A. Pickering. W.A. Pickering receives the trust from Chinese as he could speak Chinese.
d. Approval of Law
Two laws to avoid laborers and to protect Chinese immigrants who have been registered.
e. Establishments Ordinance 1889
In 1889, the government had passed Establishments Ordinance which bans Chinese triads. They were given 6 months to stop their operations. The ordinance had forced these triads to operate in secret or re-organized by operating with other names.
However, the measures taken by Straits Settlements government to wipe off these Chinese triads did not come to a success. They continued operating their business in secret until today.
Under the previous emergency ordinance 5/69, criminals and triads can be arrested and held for 60 days. Next, under Section 4 (1) can be sentenced by the Home Ministry to be held in a Probation Center in Pulau Jerejak, Penang for two years or under section 4A (1) the same Ordinance which can be sentenced to house arrest by the Home Ministry for two years.
Those who are arrested will be held in probation centre in Simpang Renggam, Muar and Machang.
Looking at the history of those who were arrested under the Act above, we cannot help but to wonder why do the opposition really want to eliminate these Acts.
The opposition even seem to be 'celebrating' the release of an inmate in Simpang Renggam as soon as the Act was abolished and replaced with New Bill Safety Offences (Special Measures) 2012.
2,664 offenders under the act were gradually released since 2010 and most of them are Chinese and Indian. The release somehow caused some worry among rakyat.
Obviously their worry should count, showing doubt on the opposition's motive in this matter when a month later, we read the news how a former inmate of Simpang Renggam aws killed, with the motive of vengeance on past crime.
Three months later, it was reported that five former inmates committed three robbery cases.
At the same time, cases involving robery, snatch theft and murder (related to Ah Long) kept on increasing as well as the increased number of massage houses and night clubs around Selangor and Penang. All of these crimes are related to one another and they are organized, making it hard find any evidence or trace.
Even the Chinese cannot deny that triad is just a part of their 'culture'. That is why, we often see open protest from the race which claim DAP as the leader of triad, prostitution, Ah Long etc.
It is clear that even the Chinese are worried if DAP managed to take over the country through Pakatan Rakyat, and increase the number of 'gangsters' here. Their worries is said to have triggered from the five murder cases which happened within the period of two days since February 6.
The fact is, the relationship between DAp and triads has been a public secret where everyone suspected it but they cannot confirm anything. However, it is sad that some of us do not take this seriously.
Today, PR/DAP managed to 'release' inmates in Simpang Renggam, and number of crimes went up just like that. Just imagine what kind of people would the release if they are in power, and crime rates would definitely go up.

Penang Rakyat Will End Up Drinking Sewage Water
The issue on water supply between Kedah and Penang seems to be getting nowhere. Since the first time it was raised on Kedah's 2013 Budget last year, only a single letter was sent by Kedah government to Penang in regards of the matter.
Even then the letter was only sent after receiving response from the media through Executive Officer of Perbadanan Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang (PBAPP), Jaseni Maidinsa who refuse to pay for the water supply channeled from Sungai Muda, Kedah on reasons that are stated in the Riparian Right where Kedah does not have the rights to take any payment because the water supply that are taken are from a natural resource.
Jaseni gave the example of the Mekong River which supplies water to a few countries across its course and those countries do not have to pay to China. He then explained that even though some states do pay out for their water supply such as Malacca to Johore and Pahang to Selangor, it is because the water supply are not from any natural resource, they channel through pipe lines or tunnels.
from there, Kedah is still yet to provide any response other than a few media statements made by Kedah Exco, Phahrolrazi who stressed that the state government still insist on claiming for payments on water supply given to Penang.
From the recent update two days ago, which is just the same thing where Phahrolrazi once again mane a media statement 'complaining' because Penang still have not give any response to Kedah's three suggestions to charge 3cent/m3 over the water supply to Penang. He said, Penang's refusal to response to this matter is making things more complicated.
Penang however, chooses to ignore everything.
If Phahrolrazi or Kedah Chief Minister, Dato’ Seri Azizan Razak, are a little bit smarter, they should realize that DAP Penang is showing where really PAS is in their eyes, even if they are a government of a state. Moreover, PAS's actions in putting estimated revenue from something which is still yet to be discussed, justifies how low DAP thinks of PAS as they do not even know how to properly present their state Budget.
However, just like Guan Eng, Azizan is just as arrogant. generally, they are the same, stupid and arrogant. The only difference is that Guan Eng do know all things that are happening in his state, Azizan however, does not know anything. Thus, Guan Eng has full power in all projects in his state but Azizan cannot do the same.
This water issue can never end because Azizan's facing a hard time with the state fund. Things are worse as he does not know how bad the state fund is because he simply does not have any power in most projects in the state that are ran by his men.
Azizan may know a little that his state is in a bad place but he also know that he cannot do anything about it. His ego is too big for him to actually investigate everything by himself because he might not be able to accept the fact that he made mistakes.
Considering that Azizan is desperate in terms of following the Budget he presented, it is not impossible that he would take a drastic action such as the 'treat' posed by Phahrolrazi. It is not impossible that Kedah would find ways to stop channeling water supply to Penang through Sungai Muda.
Azizan has proven that he is ready to take the risk of getting mud flood in Kedah just so that he could continue logging activities in sensitive areas, He proudly stated that he would risk it to generate money for the state.
Thus, we need to remember that desperate people would do anything. If he is willing to risk with rakyat's lives, then what would he do to other states? That is why we should not be shocked if Azizan stops water supply to Penang if Guan Eng refuses to pay for it. And if PAS maintain their power in Kedah, people of Penang might just end up drinking sewage water.

‘Malaysia Spring’: Anwar's Threat To Kill Democracy
Former Prime Minister, Tun Mahathir Mohamad was reported to have reminded us over Anwar Ibrahim's threat to an uprising just like countries in the Middle East or ‘Arab Spring’ as part of his effort to bring down Barisan Nasional government. Obviously, such reminder should not be taken lightly.
Especially when we are aware that uprising is just a regular thing for Anwar, it is even part of his hobbies since he was in university back in 1974. When he was dismissed from the government, Anwar did not wait long before he went back to his old hobby by causing havoc, going against the government which he once worked with.
Unti now, the hobby has never stopped. Looking at how the Arab world crumbles, he then inspired his supporters with the story of Tahrir Square, a bloody history on Egyptian's uprising against their government. He also mention other uprising and revolutions which happens in Syria, Libya, Tunisia and others which should be taken as a 'good example' for Malaysia, according to Anwar Ibrahim.
Thus, on February 14, 2012, during Anwar's interview with Inter Press Service http://www.ipsnews.net/2012/02/malaysians-must-vote-out-corruption-racism/, confirms Tun Mahathir's reminder where Anwar kept on stressing that there is a need for Malaysia to have an uprising just like the Arab Spring.
Few of his statements include "Malaysia cannot be isolated from what is happening throughout the world, particularly the Muslim world,” and "our (PR) policies are clear for Malaysia to mature as a democracy. What the Arab Spring people are talking about and the Occupy Wall Street movement is talking about in terms of justice and being opposed to unbridled capitalism that caters only to the very rich and the very few are what we have been articulating."
He also said,"...to respect democratic institutions, respect the right to dissent and the right to freedom. The Arab Spring has been particularly useful for us in the Muslim world in this regard. It has had an impact about the meaning of democracy."
So, it is not surprising why each time the opposition organize demonstrations, no matter which cover they use, such as BERSIH, Himpunan Demokrasi, Reformasi, Kumpulan Hijau etc., chants of bringing down the government would always be there. Some opposition leaders even recorded expressing directly or indirectly, their effort to trigger 'Tahrir Square' in Malaysia.
We need to remember that Tahrir Square tragedy can happen in Malaysia if Anwar's hobby is assisted with PAS's idiocy and DAP's hatred against Muslim Malay government. With the help of foreign fund, they do not have any limit to hire rebels and traitors.
It is important for Malaysians to really understand what Arab Spring’ or ‘Tahrir Square’ or ‘Occupy Wall Street’ really is. This is not the time for us to simply hear it from our friends or politicians or even the media.
If we really want to have a mature democracy, we, Malaysians, should be mature first. We cannot see ourselves as mature people if we do not study the things which we support.
The fact is, post Arab Spring countries has gotten worse than it was before. Egyptians decided to bring down Hosni Mubarak who is seen as a corrupt leader, ended up with Morsi Mohamed which is even worse as anyone who goes against him, will be arrested.
Bringing down the government through uprising would mean destroying our own country. This means, our economy would go down as banks, shops and schools are destroyed thanks to all the riot. This is because, because of all the riot, even rakyat would feel the heavy impact. But as administration goes down, rakyat would suffer even more.
Getting a new government would need swift recovery for the whole country. Offices, factories, banks and schools need to be repaired, but they would need a huge fund. However, no fund will be available by then as there are no investors, even stock market would crumble.
So, those who are jobless will hate the government for not giving them any jobs.
A year after their uprising, business owners in Egypt claim that they suffer up to 40% loss compared to before the uprising era. Even tourism dropped 75%. Egypt then had no other choice but to take foreign loans which the previous government never took.
Only now, Egyptians realize what they did and wished they had never triggered any uprising.
What is certain, all of the countries in Arab Spring are now in a dark era, and if this is what Anwar uses to motivate his supporters, then let's hope that they would not do the same thing to our government.
If Anwar wants to become the next Prime Minister, he needs to go through the real democracy, through elections. No Malaysians deserve to lose their jobs or risk their lives just so that Anwar would achieve his dream.

PAS’ DECISION ON NASHARUDIN IS A SLAP TO ANWAR, NASHARUDIN IS STILL A MEMBER OF PAS
So it is confirmed that PAS former deputy president Nasharudin Mat Isa has been sacked as a member of the Syura Council, not as a member of PAS.
The manner the expulsion was made indicated PAS leadership is divided and uncertain whether the party should expel Nasharudin as member of the council and member of PAS.
Finally they decided to expel him as a member of the council, not from the party, which of course anger those aligned to PKR de facto chief Anwar Ibrahim who yearns to control the party from outside.
Anwar and his stooges in PAS would want to see Nasharudin sacked so that they can then gain control of the party without much obstacles especially now at a time when Anwar wants to field his men as PAS candidates in the coming general election.
Anwar knoiws PKR will not perform well and in fact, PKR may not even get the support of the Malays as expected by DAP, to complement the opposition pact’s position.
This means Anwar may lose many of the men who he is using or rightly abusing now and intending to use later, so if he can control PAS through his men in the party leadership line-up, he can rest assure that many of his men would be fielded.
Without such men, Anwar is nobody, because he is a man who just cannot stand alone. He needs soldiers, loyal soldiers who ask no question and ready to be sacrificed.
Anwar has sacrificed a lot of his loyal men before who now sit on the other side of the political divide, fighting tooth and nail against him, warning people of his ‘dirty character, morally and politically’.
So now Anwar’s plan in PAS is a ‘no-go’ so long as Nasharudin is still a member and Anwar will not sit still…he will continue influencing those who still believe in him like Nik Aziz NIk Mat, Husam Musa and of course his ‘slave’ Mohamad Sabu.
And PAS leadership, luckily controlled by Syural Council which is dominated by veteran fundamentalists, will not give up easily on Anwar’s intention as they know who that man really is.
Thus, their decision to just expel Nasharudin as member of the council and not from the party shows that they need Nasharudin in the party and they need the link to Umno, no matter what others, that is their partner PKR and DAP, say.
Say whatever one likes, only veteran fundamentalists like president Abdul Hadi Awang, NIk Aziz Nik Mat, Mustapa Ali and a few others detest Nasharudin’s action in being friendly with Umno, but the rest from top right down below still quietly want the link to Umno.
They know they are still Malays and Muslims despite the differences in political ideology.

Pakatan ties insincere, says Nasha
KUALA LUMPUR: THE cooperation between Pas, DAP and Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) has developed into an insincere alliance, said former Pas deputy president Nasharudin Mat Isa yesterday.
He said the initial agreement mooted by Pas for each of them to honour the other's differing policies had not been respected.
Explaining the cooperation which was dubbed by Pas as 'tahaluf siyasi' (political cooperation), Nasharudin said it had been openly challenged, especially by DAP, in the wake of several rows between the two parties.
"The 'tahaluf siyasi' agreed upon by Pas and Pakatan Rakyat members had recently been tarnished by DAP challenging the basics and policies of Pas struggles.
"Such an attitude disrespects the unity spirit and they are not sincere in cooperating with Pas," Nasharudin said from his hospital bed, where he is undergoing physiotherapy after sustaining a slipped disc.
He was answering a question by a site visitor 'bachok', who had asked whether DAP was sincere in cooperating with Pas.
Nasharuddin was interviewed during a live online session, coordinated by the Berita Harian Online team, yesterday.
To another question by 'Pas' on the possibility of Pas having gone astray from its original goals by working with DAP and PKR, Nasharudin said Pas was giving in to demands of the political landscape.
"Several stands and policies of Pas were forced to be amended to suit those demands, which led to a perception that the party had sidetracked from its original goals."
Nasharudin also corrected the perception that he had begun accompanying Umno president Datuk Seri Najib Razak for visits overseas only after his failure to defend his seat as Pas deputy president.
Answering a query on the matter by 'R. Veera' from Sungai Petani, Kedah, he said he had participated in visits as a member of parliament, representing the country in a number of international conferences and programmes.
"I have also been abroad with ministers, the arliament speaker and other MPs and coincidentally, I was with the prime minister (in Saudi Arabia and Gaza) recently."
To another question by visitor 'guest', Nasharudin said DAP had only wanted to fish for votes from Christians when its secretary-general, Lim Guan Eng, started the controversy surrounding the use of the word "Allah" among non-Muslims.
Lim, in his Christmas message, demanded the Barisan Nasional-led Federal Government allow the use of the word "Allah" in Malay-language bibles.
Nasharudin also ticked off DAP chairman Karpal Singh, who was the most vocal on the issue.
"Karpal Singh himself is not a Christian. So why is there a need for him to voice his opinions in this issue, since he himself is not from the same (Christian) faith?"
