Stunning claims linking Najib to Altantuya

Private investigator P Balasubramaniam has made shocking claims that Deputy Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak had links with murdered Mongolian Altantuya Shaariibuu.
He also revealed that Najib had also informed his close associate Abdul Razak Baginda that inspector-general of police Musa Hassan would 'take care' of the murder case which implicated the accused.
And he further revealed that his evidence in his police statement linking Najib to the case was removed by the cops in a move to protect the DPM.
These revelations were made by Balasubramaniam in a statutory declaration which he filed two days ago.
He was the PI hired by Abdul Razak to handle Altantuya, who had apparently come over to Malaysia in 2006 to settle some issues with Abdul Razak.
A month later Altantuya was found murdered in an isolated site in Shah Alam, Selangor.
The shocking statutory declaration was revealed by PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim in a press conference today.
Najib talked to IGP
In the statutory declaration, Balasubramaniam said that he was told by Abdul Razak on Najib's links with Altantuya.
He also revealed that Abdul Razak had SMSed Najib on the day he was arrested over Altantuya's killing and had received a reply from Najib which stated that he had spoken to the IGP.
Balasubramaniam said that in his reply, Najib had told Abdul Razak that the matter would be taken care of by the IGP.
The PI also revealed that he had informed all of these to the police when they took his statement but was surprised that all mention of Najib was removed from the statement.
Balasubramaniam also told the press conference that he was highlighting the issue now as he was disappointed the prosecution - which recently closed its case against two elite police officers and Abdul Razak on the murder of Altantuya - had not done anything to introduce his evidence on Najib.
He also said that he was not asked any of these when he testified in the trial. He was the first prosecution witness in the trial.
Anwar said that it was evident that the police and the prosecution team, especially IGP Musa Hassan and attorney-general Abdul Gani Patail, has hidden relevant information in the case and was worried that they would do the same in the ongoing probe into the sodomy allegation made against him by his former aide Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan.
Anwar had also lodged a report against Musa and Gani on Monday for fabricating evidence in his trials 10 years ago.
Najib had previously said that he never knew and had never met Altantuya.

tunku : i wonder why only now balasubramaniam revealing this(if it is true). he had testified in court before during the case, why he did not mention this then? again through anwar.what conspiracy is this? pak lah is having a good time right now.again there's no hard evidence in the statutory declaration. it's only hearsay, what balasubramaniam is telling.i am not telling that i am sure najib is 100% innocent in this case because i don't know. again let the police investigates. why anwar bringing this after his sodomy accusation? too much conspiracy going on.

End oil speculation, says Dr M

KUALA LUMPUR: Asean countries should make a united stand at a world forum and demand an end to oil speculation to stop rising oil prices, says former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
“This (skyrocketing fuel prices) whole thing is due to speculation and not because there is a shortage of oil.
“If there is shortage, then an increasing price will result in increased production. But now, the price keeps increasing but the production remains the same. It is manipulation.
“A few people are making a lot of money. Oil companies are making tons of money. Oil producers are also making lots of money and the people who have this money have to keep it somewhere. If they keep it in any country and buy bonds there, then that country makes money,” he said in an interview on Monday.
Dr Mahathir said it was important to make a stand, just like during the currency crisis previously, but a stronger, and more united one this time.
“For example, we took a stand and condemned currency trading but of course, in the end, we had to devise our own way of overcoming it.
“The world has to tackle this (oil price) problem but it requires a lot of people. Asean countries should demand that this should not go on,” he added.
Dr Mahathir said the Government and people had a role to play in dealing with the current situation.
“The Government must know how to manage the economy during difficult times, and not just in cordial, simpler times. “They have to sit down, study, get all the details and try to analyse them, and get others who have the expertise to tell you. Only then can you can find a formula to resolve the problem,” he said.
He said one had to face the reality of increasing oil prices, and find ways to reduce consumption.
“During my time, the price of oil was US$30 (RM98) per barrel. Today, it is US$143 per barrel. Obviously, you cannot insist on paying the same price.
“It has to be higher but how much higher and at what rate, that is a different matter.”
He said there were many ways to reduce consumption but the Government had to find ways to help the people.
“Every individual has a way of managing himself and the household but the Government has a role to play. It cannot say this is your business and you have to live with it, no. The Government must find ways,” he added.
Dr Mahathir, who is also Petronas adviser, said the national oil company needed to source for oil investments overseas to make preparations before the oil supply ran out.

MP Seeks To Have Dr M Appear In Court For Explanation Over 1988 Judicial Crisis

KUALA LUMPUR, July 2 (Bernama) -- A member of parliament Wednesday suggested that former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad be given the opportunity to appear in court to explain the allegations hurled at him over the 1988 judicial crisis.
Datuk Abdul Ghapur Salleh (BN-Kalabakan) said this would help resolve the issue and end the arguments between Dr Mahathir and the government on the matter.
"Why don't we bring Tun Dr Mahathir to court to give an explanation? I feel he would be willing to appear in court so that he can personally explain his problem with regard to the judiciary, whether there was abuse of power or otherwise," he said during the debate on the motion on the mid-term review of the Ninth Malaysia Plan in the Dewan Rakyat, here.
Abdul Ghapur suggested that Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Senator Datuk Mohd Zaid Ibrahim raise the matter in the Cabinet.
"It is not good for a person who has served (the nation) for 22 years to be subjected to all kinds of accusations. I believe Tun Dr Mahathir will be willing to appear in court because he wants to clear his name. Perhaps, he may have some evidence which cannot be exposed and can only be revealed in court," he said.
Earlier, Abdul Ghapur, known for speaking out in parliament, questioned the rationale of the government adding on a RM30 billion allocation for the Ninth Malaysia Plan when no new projects were recommended.
He said that based on the mid-term review of the ninth plan tabled by Prime Minister and Finance Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi last week, no details were given on new projects or why the supplementary allocation was made.
As such, he said, his understanding was that the supplementary allocation was to meet additional costs of contracts for old development projects agreed to by the government following the rise in the market prices of fuel and goods.

tunku : Tun Dr Mahathir is willing to go to court and he had said it few times.that is why he did not seek judicial review on the findings of the Royal Commission of Inquiry into the V.K. Lingam video clip like others.he is not jumping up and down like anwar because he knows that he is not guilty and ready to face anything.zaid and pak lah all out to tarnish Tun's image but at the end of the day they will not able to do that.

Rais Asks US To Explain Statement About Anwar Case

ANGKOK, July 2 (Bernama) -- Malaysia wants the United States to explain under what rudimentary law that it wants "to oppose any use of law enforcement or judicial procedures" in regard to an allegation of sodomy against Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Rais Yatim said he would write to US State Department spokesman Tom Casey asking for the explanation and also to counter allegations that the sodomy complaint against Anwar was politically motivated.
Saying that it was a domestic affair, Rais said he was suprised why a big power the like US wanted to enforce its view on Malaysia and only related to Anwar.
"I will study the statement in greater detail and consult with all relevant agencies for the right approach under the diplomatic ambit. But for now, the government feels it's an outright infringement of an independent country... Malaysia is a rule of law country within the international community concept," he said after visiting the Malaysian Embassy here Wednesday.
Rais, who is on a three-day visit to Thailand, said the case was a straightforward one involving a complaint filed by a citizen of the country and that police should be allowed to conduct their investigation within the law and the court to decide.
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi asked Wisma Putra to send a protest note to Washington following the warning issued by the US to Malaysia concerning the allegation of sodomy against Anwar.
Casey had asked Malaysia to keep politics and the legal system separate, saying that "we (US) will certainly oppose any use of law enforcement or judicial procedures for anything other than legitimate purposes of the law."
He further said Anwar had had a previous conviction on sodomy charges overturned and hoped that there would not be a "pattern here".
A male aide of Anwar on Saturday lodged police report in Kuala Lumpur alleging that he was sodomised by the former deputy prime minister at a condominium in Damansara in the federal capital. Anwar has denied the allegation made by Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan, 23, and has filed a defamation suit against him.
Asked if Wisma Putra was planning to brief Kuala Lumpur-based foreign diplomats on the current political situation, especially relating to Anwar's case, Rais said there was no need for such explanation now.
But the minister said the incident where Anwar sought refuge at the residence of the Turkish Ambassador to Malaysia, Barlas Ozener, was a profound lesson for everyone that foreign embassies should not shelter any person from being investigated under normal laws.
Rais also said political asylum was not practical or a necessity in Malaysia and it should not be used to hinder investigations by the authorities.
He said the ministry, which summoned Ozener on Monday, had no plans to pursue the matter with the Turkish government as it considered the matter closed.
"We have nothing to quarel (with Turkey). It was just a publicity stunt by Anwar," he said.
In KUALA LUMPUR, Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar said Anwar's propensity to seek the help of the US and other countries was the reason why the US was willing to interfere in the affairs of Malaysia, specifically over a sodomy case involving him.
"To be a leader in Malaysia, one need not refer to others for guidance. We can rely on Malaysians for it. Follow our own system and processes, it's much better," he said when speaking to reporters in the Dewan Rakyat lobby Wednesday.
He also reiterated the stand by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi yesterday that the US had no right to interfere in Malaysian affairs.

tunku : as usual usa will poke their dirty ugly nose everywhere they can.the main reason is because anwar is their agent here.

ABDULLAH BADAWI, THE POLITICAL CHAMELEON AND THE ANWAR SAGA - WHAT EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THE REAL BADAWI!

by Matthias Chang
Future FastForward, Wednesday, 02 July 2008 03:17

Recenty, Justice Datuk Ian Chin, a High Court Judge in Sabah made some wild and speculative allegations against Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad which have been rebutted and refuted by me in several articles posted to my website. I have also lodged a police report and given a detailed statement to the Investigating Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Jude Pereira at the Brickfields Police Station.
Notwithstanding such wild, unfounded and highly subjective speculations, the idiotic de facto Law Minister, Zaid Ibrahim as reported in the mass media, said that there were no grounds to investigate the judge’s misconduct and that the said judge had performed well as a judge.
If a judge can indulge in speculation, I suppose I am entitle to make a few suggestions as to the implications and consequences from the present political situation – the scandal of the murder of the Mongolian girl and the recent police report against Anwar Ibrahim for sodomy.
However, I leave it to you to be the judge, whether what I am writing is pure speculation, the spurious kind of wild suppositions associated with Justice Datuk Ian Chin and or the kind of stupid nonsense so typical of the Law Minister, Zaid Ibrahim.
Before elaborating further, I would like to pose the US$ Trillion question -
Who stands to gain most from the spotlight on the various allegations made against the Deputy Prime Minister and Anwar Ibrahim?
Main Threat Within UMNO
One need not have a PhD in political science to conclude that the main threat to Abdullah Badawi is the Deputy Prime Minister, Najib Tun Razak, notwithstanding that Badawi has announced that Najib is his chosen successor.
I have stated previously that this was merely a tactical move to neutralise Najib in the short term from making any moves to challenge for the Presidency at UMNO elections in December 2008.
It is obvious that should Najib make any moves in the meanwhile, Badawi’s spin doctors will work overtime to accuse Najib of being “ungrateful and power-crazy” when Badawi has already indicated that he would be the successor. These spin doctors would go to the length and breath of the country crying, Why is Najib so impatient? Is he power hungry?
But the reality on the ground is such that the rank and file members are absolutely flabbergasted and angry with Badawi and his theatrics and are already making moves to nominate Najib for Presidency during the branch and division meetings in July.
This is the greatest fear of Badawi and his advisers. They do not want to see a repeat performance master-minded by Anwar Ibrahim when he took on the then Deputy President Tun Ghaffar Baba. Anwar's boys were able to gather enough nominations, that Ghaffar Baba had no choice but to concede defeat, even before the battle commenced.
Khairy, Kamaluddin, the 4th Floor Boys and the baggage of spin doctors from UMNO's controlled-mass media were having sleepless nights and they knew that having chosen Najib as the successor, there is no way for Pak Lah and his band to attack Najib directly.
How can they plunge a dagger to Najib and not be accused for the crime?
Simple!
Launch a false flag operation. This is a time-tested operation of Intelligence Services all over the world. They plant an idea that there is a Deep Throat who is in possession of critical intelligence and evidence. This Deep Throat then leaks some critical intelligence and evidence to a reliable source for public consumption.
[Recall how Bush and his band of crooks outed and destroyed Valerie Plame’s credentials as a covert CIA agent, just so to discredit Ambassador Wilson’s exposé that Bush was lying about the Yellow cake (Uranium) supposedly purchased by Saddam Hussein from Niger. Valerie Plame is the wife of the Ambassador. These crooks were willing to sacrifice National Security in order to have their war of aggression on behalf of Israel.]
The information was leaked to a journalist who then published it. The journalist becomes the innocent victim of the false flag operation as is always the case!
A dark cloud now hangs over Najib’s integrity and no one can point a finger at Badawi, so they think. Badawi’s spin doctors were confident that the general public would not and could not fathom this false flag operation. If anyone were to question the circumstances, they had a ready-made answer. Why would Badawi want to destroy Najib when he has chosen him as a successor?
Some of us are seasoned political strategists and we can smell a rat a mile away.
Badawi’s smile may disarm some people, some of the time, but he cannot disarm all people all the time with his smile. We have seen his smile enough to know that soon after he smiles at his enemy, he plunges a dagger behind the enemy’s back. So beware if and when he greets you graciously.
When was the dagger plunged into the heart of Najib?
This is the US$ Multi-Trillion question. No one noticed it. It was an almost perfect plan. But they did not count on me seeing through their scheme. Hence my delay in writing this article, as I wanted to see if anyone else noticed this insidious plan!
The dagger was plunged immediately after Anwar Ibrahim accused the government of having conspired in getting a young man to lodge a police report against him for the crime of sodomy.
What did Badawi say about the matter? He denied any involvement but went on to say that he did not think that Najib had any intention to do that.
Anwar never accused Najib. No one did. So why did Badawi, for no rhyme or reason and out of the blues mention Najib in his denial?
This is the time-tested method of intelligence propaganda – you plant an idea by asserting the negative – in this case, the statement that it was not Najib.
By so doing, Badawi is in fact suggesting that Najib could be the culprit for the alleged conspiracy. Hence, the denial by Najib as reported widely in the newspapers. The denial was front page story!
"Mr. Clean” was perceived as “Mr. Clean” when the stupid Wan Azizah, wife of Anwar Ibrahim gave credence to this ploy when he pleaded with Badawi to ensure security for Anwar and a guarantee that Anwar would not be harmed. It follows that the entire PKR did not even consider the probability that Badawi could be involved.
How freaking stupid can one get in the circumstances?
To put himself in a better light, Badawi went so far to say that what happened in 1998 would not be repeated. The Sun Newspaper reported Badawi as having said:
“The government will not do anything to frame or make baseless accusations against any party, so to say that the government will repeat what was considered as a conspiracy, this is not true …”
By implication, Badawi is saying that he will not repeat the conspiracy. He is indirectly accusing the previous administration of conspiracy. This is but another attempt to plant an insidious idea and buttress his so-called “Mr. Clean” image by the use of another negative – that he will not repeat a conspiracy! He has cleverly planted the idea, that what happened before was in fact a conspiracy!
But “Mr. Clean” will not get away with this kind of cheap and dirty propaganda!
The Main Threat Outside UMNO
It is obvious that it is Anwar Ibrahim. Badawi on taking power as prime minister used the Anwar factor to his advantage to further project his so-called “kind and clean” image. The release of Anwar from jail after his acquittal by the Federal Court on the charge of sodomy was exploited to the fullest by Badawi’s spin doctors. PKR went for it - hook, line and sinker!
Having neutralised Najib with the planted intelligence that he was somehow implicated in a criminal case (so they believe), the next target must be focused on the threat outside UMNO.
Another US$ trillion question – Why now this police report on sodomy against Anwar?
Already PKR boys are accusing Najib of the conspiracy, and the mass media by carrying the denial by Najib seem to lend credence to the allegation first hinted by Badawi, the prime minister.
Now the spot light is focused on the two persons who pose the greatest threat to Badawi’s power and access to the national money-making machine!
The modus operandi and the strategy is that the public’s attention will be diverted from the financial mess as a result of Badawi’s mismanagement and negligence of the economy and the rampant corruption. Hopefully, the disaster of the March General Elections will also be forgotten!
Fat hopes!
To muddy the waters further, Badawi and his spin doctors are preparing the next phase – to provoke and instigate a feud between Najib and Anwar so that they will be so engrossed with each other and so exhausted by the exercise, that the two will not be able to focus on overthrowing Badawi.
Phase 2 is the Second Dagger that will be plunged into Najib! This is a given. And unless Najib sees through Badawi’s ploy, he will end up as dead meat before July is over!
Other Beneficiaries
There are other beneficiaries in this once-in-a-lifetime “Bollywood Drama". Suffice to say at this stage, they are waiting for the outcome of this slug-fest.
I have no wish to distract the public by revealing the beneficiaries. We should and must focus on Badawi.
This is the ultimate culprit. He is the mess!
He is the political chameleon and he will bring this country down!
Focus on him first and at all times. He is the number one problem. Period!
Badawi has ruined the entire nation.
To the Malays, he has destroyed all your hard work and stolen and or destroyed your community’s crown jewels.
If the Malays want to survive as a community and as a race, you have only one choice.
GET RID OF BADAWI ONCE AND FOR ALL!

tunku : we were busy with anwar's story till we put aside the sleepy head. be cautious of this man too.

Posh condo: I didn't say I never went

Embattled PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim said he had never denied going to the luxury condominium where his former aide Saiful Bukhari Azlan claimed to have been sodomised.
“I (have) never said that I have never been there,” he said at his Petaling Jaya office after sending off Kelantan menteri besar Nik Aziz Nik Mat who paid him a visit this afternoon.
Anwar added that he would elaborate more on the issue later.
Saiful, 23, is believed to have stated in a police report on Saturday that he was sodomised on June 26 at Unit 1151 in Kondominium Desa Damansara, Kuala Lumpur.
In a report today, New Straits Times said it was believed that Anwar had access to the posh unit as it belonged to one of his friends.

tunku : how can he denied this when there is hard evidence of him going there often.he can't find good excuse on this.have to admit.

Anwar also brushed off another report in the NST which claimed doctors at the Hospital Kuala Lumpur had found evidence that Saiful had engaged in anal sex.
“Their problem lah. He (Saiful) has to explain that,” said Anwar in his usual calm demeanor.
According to Bernama, HKL director Dr Zaininah Mohd Zain today denied ever releasing information of their medical records on Saiful.
To weather out the storm
However, Anwar refused to entertain a question on whether Saiful had ever accompanied him overseas.
“There are certain things which I would have to consult my lawyer first because investigations are in progress. All I can say is that there is nothing to worry about,” he said.

tunku : we are not worried about you.other nonsense things you can tell the press but you won't answer whether saiful had ever accompanied you to overseas. you had told to public that he is not you personal assistant but still he can accompanied you to overseas.why? how come? you said he is just a volunteer but you claimed that saiful sent resignation mail to you which you replied. anwar master of "BULLSHIT".

Over the past few days, a number of press reports have claimed that Saiful has also alleged that he was sodomised by Anwar when both were overseas including in Singapore, Bangkok and Hong Kong.
On Nik Aziz’s visit, Anwar said that the Kelantan mentri besar had expressed concern and regret over the fresh sodomy allegations - the second time in 10 years.
“He asked me to be patient and to weather out the storm. He is confident that we will see this through,” he added.

tunku : we too asking you to be patient and stop jumping around and let the police finish their investigation.

Anwar stressed that even with the sodomy allegations, the opposition Pakatan Rakyat coalition comprising DAP, PAS and PKR was still strong.
“We will tread cautiously, in part due to the on-going BN media campaign (against us). I have to work with my lawyers to deal with this,” said the former deputy premier.

tunku : what about your campaign, your propaganda, your lies?

Anwar to kick off nationwide tour on Sunday

Anwar Ibrahim has vowed to go on a nationwide tour to clear his name as he battled fresh sodomy allegations involving the opposition leader who sees himself as the 'prime minister in waiting'.
His first stop will be this Sunday in Petaling Jaya when thousands supporters are expected to voice their support for Anwar and to protest against the sharp hike in petrol prices last month.
It seemed as if history was repeating itself. As a warm up to the main event this weekend, thousands of supporters gathered last night to hear the fiery orator talk about the alleged injustice meted out against him.
In 1998, Anwar Ibrahim took to the streets to clear his name after he was unceremoniously sacked as deputy premier and accused of sodomy and abuse of power.
A decade later, the PKR de facto leader is once again forced to do the same in the wake of new sodomy allegations. Like in the past, Anwar maintains that it is a conspiracy to end his political career.

tunku : conspiracy, prove it in court, why go to the streets.this moron knows he did mistake, that's why he is engaging to such actions.again he will make havoc with his "blind" supporters.together they will vandalize public property again.

Last night, 10,000 people thronged Stadium Malawati in Shah Alam to hear the charismatic politician speak. Among those present were an army of Hindu Rights Action Force supporters who came armed with banners and placards demanding the release of their leaders.
As usual, Anwar did not disappoint.
He held the audience spellbound with his blistering 50-minute speech and raised the temperature a few notches when he vowed to "fight till the end the disgusting allegations against him."
His colleagues referred to him as the ‘supreme leader’ and prior to his arrival, other PKR leaders such as Saifuddin Nasution, R Sivarasa and Azmin Ali had warmed the floor with their "Najib (Abdul Razak) Mongolia" as well as Abdul Gani Patail and Musa Hassan jokes.
In between their speeches, pictures of the trio and the former PKR worker Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan, who made the new allegations against Anwar, flashed on the big screen.
To move the crowd, each time their names were mentioned, their pictures were televised to everyone, drawing jeers.
By the time Anwar arrived at 10pm, the audience were already riled up. And before the 60-year-old politician took the microphone, the national anthem and party song were played.

tunku : what do you expect in a circus.it's all joke with no facts. everyone must have fun last night, free entertainment by anwar and his jokers.

Remembering 98
Peppering his message with doses of how he had suffered during the 1998 arrest, which culminated in a six-year prison term, a black eye and host of bodily injuries, Anwar had the crowd in overdrive.
"But this is not about Anwar," he reminded them.
"This is about the failure of the administration of the country. Whether it's the judiciary, the economy or the police - Pakatan Rakyat is here to ensure change," he roared.

tunku : it's always about "anwar", from the beginning. you can ask chandra muzaffar, what anwar is. the administration of this country will fail if this moron is the leader.it's better the sleepy head than this moron.

Malaysia, he explained, is a oil producing nation and yet the petrol prices are one of the highest. He also repeated Pakatan's election promise to bring petrol prices down if they were in government.
"And I'll be damned if I or the other Pakatan leaders were to allow this travesty of justice to repeat itself."

tunku : you have not been damned but you have been cursed because of your immoral activities back then and now its haunting you again. old habits die hard.

On the night Anwar was arrested on Sept 20, 1999, he was brought to the national police headquarters in Bukit Aman where the former deputy premier was beaten by then police chief Abdul Rahim Noor, resulting in a black eye and injuries to other parts of his body.
What followed after his arrest was a series of unnatural sex and corruption trials.
Besides a very prominent mattress, there was his former speech writer Dr Munawar Anees and adopted brother Sukma Darmawan Sasmita Atmadja who initially pleaded guilty of homosexual acts with him but subsequently recanted their statements, saying they were coerced by the police.
His wife's driver Azizan Abu Bakar was also alleged to have engaged in homosexual acts with Anwar.
Amid doubts over the forensic evidence used to convict him of corruption and sodomy, Anwar was sentenced to six and nine years in prison respectively. The sentences were to run concurrently.
However, in 2004 a panel of three judges in Federal Court overturned his sodomy conviction by 2 to 1, citing contradictions in the prosecution's case.
Different standards
In his speech last night, Anwar also touched on the statutory declaration by blogger Raja Petra Raja Kamaruddin implicating Najib’s wife Rosmah Mansor in the murder of a Mongolian national.
The PKR leader said he was shocked when heard about the statutory declaration but was even more stunned when the allegations were quickly brushed aside.
"When Raja Petra made a statutory declaration, alleging that Najib's wife Rosmah was present during the murder of Altantuya Shaariibuu the attorney-general called it frivolous.

tunku : rpk? that is your hatchet man since day one. he is only carrying out duty instructed by you.

"But when the case is against Anwar Ibrahim, the authorities are moving with lightning speed, moving their forensic teams in and out of the Damansara condominium," he said.

tunku : if the police not taking action , you will said justice is delayed, and when they want to bring justice fast you accused them.are you scared moron?

The timing of the allegations, he claimed, was to derail Pakatan's plans for him to re-enter parliament via a by-election and their announcement of the four BN parliamentarians who will be joining them.
"They are getting more and more worried with each passing day as we inch closer to Putrajaya and this is nothing but a cheap attempt to stop us," he said.

tunku : just name it and ask the mps to join asap, don't delay anymore.quick, form the new government asap. we are fed up of hearing to your "BULLSHIT" everyday. sometimes, today they will jump, sometimes tomorrow, end of the month, next month etc.

Anwar also revealed that he will be going on a nationwide roadshow to explain himself to the people. Before departing, he reminded the crowd of the "One Million" protest at Padang Timur, Petaling Jaya on Sunday.
"On Sunday, DAP's Lim Kit Siang, PAS’ Abdul Hadi Awang and all our PKR leaders will be there to protest this injustice. We hope that you will take this message to your friends and family and ask them to turn out in full force.
"We will send a message to the government this Sunday that such tricks will no longer be tolerated by the people anymore.
"And don't forget to pray to Allah to save our people and country," he said to loud cheers.

tunku : yes we will pray to ALLAH to save our country from devil like you. you don't need to explain to the people, explain it to the court. this is an act of a coward person.

It’s about law not politics, says Muhyiddin

KUANTAN: The sodomy allegations against PKR adviser Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is an issue involving the country’s laws and should not be politicised by any quarter, said Umno vice-president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
He said the police should be the right party to conduct a thorough investigation into the allegations.
“I do not think that Anwar is correct in saying that the allegations were meant to derail his plans to make a political comeback,” he said after paying a visit to the Amalgamated Metal Builders (M) Sdn Bhd factory in Gebeng yesterday.
“We should not shift our focus from the main issue, which involves the country’s laws. Let the law take its course and for the police to ascertain the truth of the matter.”
Muhyiddin was asked to comment on claims by Anwar that the accusations were meant to derail his plans to announce his plan to contest a by-election.
He reiterated that none of Barisan Nasional’s or Umno’s leaders was involved in the so-called conspiracy to destroy Anwar’s political career.
“I am confident the police and the Attorney-General will act based on the country’s laws,” he said.
He also brushed aside claims by Anwar that four Barisan MPs would leave the coalition.
“Ask him (Anwar). I have no idea,” he said.

tunku : yesterday azmin said that anwar will announce the four BN Mps name which will join pkr at melawati stadium but again nothing happened(as usual), they only talks. we can see how anwar is trying to divert the main issue here, that is his sodomy case. the bullet is shot by saiful but in return anwar is shooting everyone else.he's blaming bn, igp, ag, najib etc.by right he should be defending himself from the sodomy allegation or just shut up , let the police do their investigation first but no, this is anwar.he will not shut up cause he knows he's in deep BIG trouble, so he's trying to manipulate his supporters mind and trying to be innocent.

Dr M not surprised by sodomy allegation

KUALA LUMPUR: Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said he was not surprised over the recent sodomy allegation against his former deputy Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
“I am not surprised at all. He is saying it is a fabrication but he said the same thing last time,” he said when asked to comment on the new allegation.
The allegation came about after a 23-year-old former aide of Anwar lodged a police report on Saturday alleging sodomy. The de facto leader of PKR in turn filed a suit against the aide claiming defamation and malicious falsehood.
Anwar has vehemently denied the accusations and said it was a political conspiracy against him given his plans to return to Parliament.
Anwar alleged that the Government was out to get him, just when he was about to announce where he would be contesting in a by-election. The Government has denied his allegation.
“He will have lots of stories. There is always conspiracy as far as he is concerned. I’m not surprised at all,” Dr Mahathir said in an interview.
Anwar had sought refuge in the Turkish embassy on Sunday claiming his life was in danger and there were assassination plots on him.
He left the embassy on Monday evening after receiving assurance from the Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister that his safety would be guaranteed.
Dr Mahathir also dismissed the notion that Anwar could topple the Government.
“Malaysia is one country where prime ministers can walk about the streets safely and not get shot at. “When I go shopping, I don’t feel threatened at all. My bodyguards, if there are, actually stay away from me. “When people approach me, there is no problem at all. I am not worried. We are actually a very peaceful country,” he added.
Dr Mahathir also expressed disappointment over the country’s current situation.

tunku : i'm not surprised too and many others.the only one caught surprised is anwar's camp.even anwar is not surprised, you know what i mean.

No helping hand from Hindraf, says detainee’s wife

KLANG: The wife of Internal Security Act (ISA) detainee and Hindu Rights Action Force coordinator K. Vasantha Kumar says most of her husband’s Hindraf associates have abandoned her and her two daughters.
“I am both disappointed and saddened as I have been left in the lurch and receive no help or moral support from my husband’s Hindraf counterparts,” said K. Vickneswary.
Vasantha Kumar was detained under the ISA in December last year, together with four other Hindraf members, R. Kengadharan, M. Manoharan, V. Ganabatirau, and P. Uthayakumar.
Vickneswary said apart from two of her husband’s old friends, and Ganabathirau’s brother V. Raidu, none of the people currently front-lining Hindraf had called or visited her.
“One of my husband’s friends S. Sivalingam has been very supportive and is the one that I turn to when in need,” she said.
Vickneswary added that it was a struggle for her to travel with her two daughters to the Kamunting detention centre in Taiping every weekend to visit Vasantha Kumar, as she had to find her own way there.
According to Vickneswary, her husband was also disappointed when she told him that only one or two of his Hindraf friends’ had bothered to find out how she and their two children were doing.
Vickneswary also said she was not receiving any financial aid from Hindraf and added that she sometimes felt that her husband’s efforts and sacrifices were in vain.
tunku : where is "sivaji the boss" , or he's busy with the sodomy allegation. what about the state representative, the YB Uthayakumar's help centre? i guess vickneswary should turn to samy vellu now, i am 100% sure samy will support your expenses.

Penang MIC Youth Deputy Chief Quits Post

PENANG, July 1 (Bernama) -- State MIC Youth deputy chief Vincent David Tuesday quit his post in protest over the party leadership's directive to national Youth chief S. A. Vigneswaran to relinguish his position.
David also announced his resignation as MIC central executive council member.
He said his decision was based on the MIC leadership having directed Vigneswaran to quit his post as Youth chief, well before the latter's term ended in 2009.
Last Sunday, Vigneswaran announced his resignation from the post, following a directive that MIC youth chiefs who attained 40 years of age, quit their post.
Vigneswaran has been a party member for 25 years.
Meanwhile, David said that he would serve the Indian community by joining the Malaysian Indian Youth Development Foundation which is headed by Vigneswaran.

Vigneswaran Will Return To MIC If Samy Vellu Steps Down

KUALA LUMPUR, July 1 (Bernama) -- Former MIC Youth head S.A Vigneswaran had indicated that he will rejoin the party if MIC president Datuk Seri S.Samy Vellu steps down as the party leader.
He is also confident that if there were changes to the MIC top leadership, many more former party members will apply to rejoin the Indian-based party.
"If Samy Vellu were no longer with the MIC, there is a strong possibility that I will rejoin the party. In fact, many more will join the MIC.
"For as long as it is under Samy Vellu's leadership, I have no intention at all of rejoining, but I hope the MIC will always have a bright future," he told reporters at the Parliament lobby, here Tuesday.
On Sunday, Vigneswaran announced his decision to leave the MIC, saying that he had lost confidence in the leadership of Samy Vellu.
The former Kota Raja Member of Parliament also claimed that he had been humiliated by Samy Vellu when the latter accused him of being involved with the extremist movement, Hindraf, during the last general election in March.
Meanwhile, Barisan Nasional (BN) Youth chairman Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said he would always cooperate with anyone appointed to act as the MIC Youth chief.
He said relations between the Youth wings of the BN component parties would not be affected if any individual were to leave the party.
Hishammuddin had earlier received a courtesy call by Vigneswaran at his office at Parliament House.
Meanwhile, the MCA Youth Tuesday refuted the allegation by former Health Minister Datuk Seri Chua Soi Lek who claimed that the MCA president, Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting, declined to defend his post at the party election in October as he could not carry out his task efficiently.
MCA Youth chief Datuk Liow Tiong Lai said Chua's statement was incorrect as Ong had stated that his decision not to defend his post was because he wanted to make way for others to lead the party.

tunku : as long as samy is there, mic will never regain the lost support from the indians community.he has to go but he is another pak lah, they don't bother about others, the nation.they only thing about themselves.stubborn and arrogant old mans.

We (PKR &Oppositions) will fight (my war), says Anwar

SHAH ALAM: A large group of people gathered at the Stadium Melawati here Tuesday night for the impromptu rally organised by PKR in reaction to the sodomy allegations made against its de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim by former aide Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan.
The rally was also turned into a platform to criticise the Barisan Nasional government and the current administration's policies.
The crowd started gathering as early as 7.30pm but most of the PKR top leaders gathered at the makeshift platform inside the stadium at about 9pm.
About an hour later Anwar walked in.
In his speech later, Anwar said he would not sit quietly and allow a repeat of what happened in 1998. "We will fight," he said.
"When we (Pakatan Rakyat) take over the country, the first thing we will do is bring down the price of fuel," he claimed.
Meanwhile, Sungai Petani MP Johari Abdul, who moderated the evening’s event, said the "sound of war drums" had begun reverberating from Pakatan Rakyat.
Other speakers who spoke before Anwar included PKR vice-presidents Azmin Ali and R. Sivarasa

tunku : i wonder how a man accused of sodomy can still talk about taking over the government? does that make sense? on top of it he will bring down the fuel price. there are so many theories with this sodomy accusations. some said it is orchestrated by anwar to get sympathy and be more popular. some said it's true, he did that. ezam said he believes the sodomy accusation and will reveal it at some other time.this was his right hand man. i wonder why most of the right hand mans of anwar accusing him now. waiting nallakarupan, once a tennis partner and ***** partner to comment.

Stop oil speculators : Mukhriz

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia should take the initiative to urge nations to work together and stop oil speculators in their tracks, Jerlun MP Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir said.
He added that the worrying rise in global crude oil prices, which went up from US$50 (RM163) per barrel in January last year to US$140 (RM457) per barrel recently would push Malaysia to scrap its fuel subsidies by the end of the year if the price spikes were not halted.
Mukhriz said the cause was not due to less production of oil, but due to oil speculators, whose international trading activities had caused an artificial rise in oil prices.
He added that the amount of money invested in the oil futures market was actually larger than the money used to buy and trade oil.
Mukhriz said oil trading firms such as Goldman Sachs correctly predicted in August last year that the global oil price would go up from US$75 (RM245) to US$95 (RM310) per barrel by December.
The oil futures traders such as Goldman Sachs are not trading in actual oil, but the value of the production of oil itself or termed as paper oil, he added.
"In 2003, trade in paper oil in New York, London and Singapore bourses came to 100 million barrels, which had nothing to do with the actual trade in oil.
"Recently Morgan Stanley issued a statement that the oil price will reach US$150 (RM489) per barrel this month while Goldman Sachs predicted that oil prices will reach US$200 (RM653) per barrel by the end of the year," he said in his speech in debating the mid-term review report of the Ninth Malaysia Plan.
Mukhriz said the Government should not give in to the oil speculators, whom he described as immoral and think of nothing of causing economic hardship to poorer countries.
He added the Government should do what it had done for the ringgit in 1998, by protecting the oil prices from being manipulated by speculators and launch a counter-offensive by calling on the world to stop the excessive activities of speculators. Mukhriz called on the Government to seriously consider several suggestions being bandied about to stop oil speculators.
"The developing countries should call for a meeting to seek measures to transfer oil pricing activities out of the hands of speculators to governments.
"The Indian finance minister suggested that oil prices should be controlled and not be left to free market forces.
"Our foreign minister has called for the Organisation of the Islamic Countries to form a task force to seek measures against oil price speculation.
"Malaysia should call on oil-producing nations to carry out direct oil trade on a contract basis between the buyer and seller and not be left to the free market which can be manipulated by oil speculators.
"We should urge the Inter-continental Exchange which carries out oil trading to be more transparent," Mukhriz added.

Government not listening to people, says MP

THE recent Government measures to stem the economic fallout due to the rise in world oil prices should be described as weak and unacceptable, Nasharuddin Mat Isa (PAS-Bachok) said.
He added the Government had not been listening to the people on the hardships they were facing due to the recent hike in fuel prices.
For example, Nasharuddin said the mid-term review report of the Ninth Malaysia Plan (9MP) had not taken into consideration the recent rise in global oil prices.
"What is the value of development to be paid for with RM230bil when the low-income groups and the government servants cannot enjoy this wealth and are living from hand to mouth daily?
"The Prime Minister had stated that the recent measures to rise fuel prices couldn't be helped due to pressure from outside forces.
"For us, this reasoning is weak and negative. We are sure that the Government can do something better than this. Unfortunately, it has not been listening to the people.
"In fact, more people will hold a protest this Sunday to express their unhappiness on the situation," he said in his speech during the debate on the mid-term review of the 9MP.
Nasharuddin also questioned why the country is contributing money to the Commonwealth Endowment Fund in conjunction with the 100th anniversary of the Commonwealth when the money could be used to finance the repair of schools.
He questioned how much was given to the fund, adding that priority should be given to schools and schoolchildren.

tunku : the difference between the two mp's above is one (mukhriz) gave suggestion and the other one(nasharudin) only knows how to complaint.we want our opposition to be more suggestive when debating issues.

Embattled leader comes out swinging ?

Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim was to stage a public rally tonight(Stadium Melawati) to fight back over allegations of sodomy that he says were orchestrated by the government to keep its grip on power.

tunku : why you want to fight back at a rally.fight in court not at a rally where you can tell all the "BULLSHIT" to the public.

Anwar, who spent six years in prison before a stunning return to politics in elections in March, has lodged a defamation suit over the allegations -- the same charge that put him behind bars in this Muslim-majority nation in 1999.
Now after a dramatic interlude holed up in the Turkish embassy, where he took refuge at the weekend saying his life was in danger, Anwar is coming out swinging at the government of Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
"We are now going on an offensive," said Saiful Izham Ramli, a member of the policy board of Anwar's PKR, which leads a three-member opposition alliance.
"Now we have a game plan," Saiful said.

tunku : anwar is a drama queen and he and his team has lots of game plan.so it's not something new. he'll make things look like conspiracy rather talking about the sodomizing facts of his.

He said there would be police reports made as well as a rally tonight, part of a campaign to fight back against what Anwar and his party insist is a government campaign to keep him from challenging Abdullah to lead the nation.
Prime Minister Abdullah's Umno helms a a national coalition that has ruled the country since independence.
But Anwar's opposition alliance made a surprisingly strong showing in March, grabbing one-third of the seats in Parliament and undermining the coalition's long-time hold on power.

tunku : opposition alliance made a surprisingly strong showing in March 12th general election result not because of anwar.

Now that a ban on public office after his earlier conviction has expired, Anwar says he was poised to enter Parliament in a by-election when the government concocted the latest allegations by a 23-year-old male aide.

tunku : the allegation done by anwar's aide not the government's aide.

Allegations could hurt PM
Analysts say the allegations could hurt the prime minister and actually help Anwar, a charismatic figure whose colourful political career has nevertheless long been accompanied by the tinge of scandal.
"A large number of people do not believe the allegations, and this whole episode may have benefited Anwar more than it has damaged his reputation," said Ibrahim Suffian, a pollster from the Merdeka Centre.
Anwar was sacked as deputy prime minister in 1998 in the midst of the Asian financial crisis which heightened his power struggle with then prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
Shortly after, he was charged with sodomy and corruption, and appeared in court with a black eye after a beating from the police chief.
The trial heard lurid allegations linking him with his driver, speech-writer and adopted brother, and a soiled mattress was hauled into court as evidence.
He spent six years in jail until the nation's highest court overturned the sex conviction, and he emerged in poor health and spent several years recuperating and working as an academic.
Now the 60-year-old has been planning a political comeback, looking to win a parliament seat in the by-election and gather enough defectors from the ruling coalition to be able to take over as prime minister.

tunku : let police do their job and complete their investigation thoroughly.then we will know it will hurt the government or anwar the evil moron.i am sure saiful bukhary would have some hard evidence to support his claim or he;ll be stupid to lodge a report. by the way this is from saiful's fiancee.

US cautions over sex charges against Anwar

The United States said today it would oppose any politically motivated investigation or prosecution of Malaysian opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim facing fresh sex misconduct charges.
Anwar is being investigated over new allegations of sodomy, Malaysian police said on Saturday, the same charge that saw him jailed six years until 2004, when the charge was overturned.
The former deputy premier accused the government of concocting the new sex claims by a 23-year-old male aide and had briefly sought sanctuary at the Turkish embassy in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday, saying he had received threats and feared for his life.
"The main point for us is that the rule of law needs to stand above politics," said Tom Casey, spokesman for the US State Department.
"And we would certainly oppose any use of law enforcement or judicial procedures for anything other than legitimate purposes of the law," he said.
Noting that Anwar had previously faced similar charges and that his conviction was ultimately overturned, Casey said, "So, we would hope that there's not a pattern here.
"But, certainly, we would be concerned that anything that is done be done in a way that is appropriate, that is a legitimate investigation of charges that might exist under Malaysian law, and would not be anything that was a politically-motivated investigation or prosecution," he said.

tunku : of course america will be caution with this latest development because anwar is their hopeful person here. they want anwar to be the pm so that they can control malaysia.anwar is their puppet.

Langkawi hotels in dire straits

LANGKAWI: Sixty-eight hotels here stand to lose more than RM20mil a month following the government’s decision to cancel bookings for meetings, seminars and courses on the resort island, said Kuah assemblyman Datuk Nawawi Ahmad.
He said these hotels, which have four-star ratings and below, would stand to lose between RM300,000 and RM500,000 each.
“We hope the Government will not impose the cost-cutting measures on Langkawi and other resort islands such as Tioman and Pangkor which are heavily dependent on government programmes,” he said.
Nawawi said this in response to a Finance Ministry circular sent to hotels on June 6 informing them that bookings at all hotels had been cancelled, effective immediately.
“We appeal to the Government to review this decision as it has far-reaching implications on the livelihood of 70% of the population in Langkawi who are directly involved in the service sector.
“Some 10,000 people are working in the hotel sector and about 15,000 are in the retail business. The 700 taxi drivers will soon lose business.
“Car rental operators also risk going bust as most of the cars are still under finance,” he said, adding that there were more than 3,000 rental cars on the island.
Nawawi said that among the first to lose their jobs would be hotel workers as the hotels would be forced to retrench them.
“Even farmers and fishermen are dependent on the service sector as the bulk of their produce and catch are sold to hotels,” he said.
Nawawi appealed to the Government to consider the long-term socio-economic impact of its cost-cutting measures.

tunku : the federal government and also state government should promote Langkawi to the fullest.they can still improve on the promotions to bring more tourist to Langkawi. The state government should work hard on this matter rather than thinking of chopping trees (logging) at the water catchment area for their income. Langkawi has great potential and need more promotion to every corner of the world.we hope the state government will not take action in Langkawi that might shy away the tourist.

Dr Mahathir Gets Lifetime Achievement Award

KUALA LUMPUR, June 30 (Bernama) -- Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed leads the list of those honoured with Brand Laureate Hall of Fame Award on Monday night.
He received a Lifetime Achievement Award as an acknowlegedment of his works as a Malaysia's master brand builder, said the Brand Laureate chief executive officer Dr K.K. Johan at the Brand Laureate Awards 2007/2008 Gala Dinner here.
He said Dr Mahathir, during his tenure as Prime Minister, has positioned Malaysia as a respectable nation and a force to be reckoned in international arena.
Brand Laureate Award is to honour brand icons and statesmen in Malaysia and Asia Pacific region.
The other recipients are Tun Ahmad Sarji Abdul Hamid, chairman of Permodalan Nasional Bhd, Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay, chairman of Genting and Tan Sri Azman Hashim, the chairman of Ambank group.
They were honoured as Brand Laureate's Brand Personality Award 2008.
Johan said the trio have successfully guided the growth of the respective organisations under them.
The Brand Laureate award was conceptualised to honour brand excellences in Malaysia and in the world, and awarded to deserving brands from multinationals, public-listed and government-linked companies that have shown best practices in branding and meet stringent selection criteria.

Anwar leaves Turkish embassy

Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim walked out of the Turkish embassy in Kuala Lumpur at 6.45pm today where he took refuge after being hit with sodomy accusations.
He told journalists that he had decided to leave after getting assurances for his safety from three ministers - Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar, Foreign Minister Rais Yatim and Deputy Prime Minister Najib Razak.
"I've decided to leave after getting assurances from the statements of the foreign minister, the home minister and the deputy prime minister," said a rather fresh-looking Anwar.
"I pray enough will be done for my security," he told reporters after emerging from the ambassador's residence.
"Although, I'm not completely convinced of the leadership of the police, whom I believe have fabricated evidence during my previous trials, I've decided to leave because of the assurances (from the ministers). "I'm quite sure that most of the police will do their jobs professionally, but I'm not so sure about their leadership."

tunku : how can you be sure of your safety when you are not convinced with the police and the government assurance on your safety.anwar's "BULLSHIT". now may be he'll hire somebody to shoot him and that will make him more popular and people will tend to believe him.anything is possible with anwar the drama queen.

When asked whether he will cooperate in the police investigation into his aide Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan's allegations against him, Anwar's retort was, "What investigations?".
"I will assist in any inquiries but investigations which are bad in nature like in the past, where there were bad judges, prosecutors, police and witnesses..."

tunku : so the judges who had released you falls under which category, good or bad ? if it's in your favour then it's good, not in your favour, it's bad.anwar's "BULLSHIT''.

According to Anwar, the new charges would be "a repeat of the 1998 fiasco" when he was hit with the sodomy and corruption counts that were widely seen as politically motivated.
He spent six years in jail until 2004 when the sex charge was overturned. Anwar said he was targeted again because he had evidence that the police chief and attorney-general had fabricated evidence in the original trial.
The government has denied any connection with the accusations by Anwar's aide, who said he was sodomised at an upmarket condo in Damansara.
Four MPs, including two from Umno, to defect
Anwar added that the sodomy allegations were meant to derail the announcement of a by-election in which he would be contesting to pave the way for his return to Parliament.
Anwar claimed that four parliamentarians from the ruling Barisan Nasional component parties - of whom two were from Umno - will be defecting to the opposition Pakatan Rakyat this week. "This week, I was supposed to announce which constituency I was going to contest in and the four Barisan Nasional parliamentarians who are going to join us. As such, they've had to act now (referring to the Saiful allegations)." According to Anwar, because of the allegations, he has had to put off the announcements.

tunku : what it has to do with this allegation ? you are not proven guilty yet. you can still announce or even contest in by-election.anwar's "BULLSHIT"

When asked if he was told to leave by Turkish ambassador Barlas Ozener, he stressed that he was walking out on his own accord.
"No, the ambassador did not ask me to leave. I'm doing so because of the guarantees of my personal safety."
A friend of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Anwar had sought sanctuary at the embassy yesterday, saying he had received threats and feared for his life.
Foreign Minister Rais Yatim summoned the Turkish ambassador today and warned he would "suffer the consequences of obstructing justice" if he allowed Anwar to evade a police investigation.
Turkey's foreign ministry said Anwar had come to the embassy to seek sanctuary due to concern over his "personal safety" and had left "of his own free will".
"We conveyed to the Malaysian side that Anwar's request was granted on purely humanitarian grounds and that the issue has no political aspect as far as we are concerned," it said in a statement.
Anwar left in a car after the six-minute press conference outside the Turkish ambassador's residence, which is about 15-minute walk from the embassy.
He was accompanied by his wife PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, vice-president Azmin Ali and lawyer Sankara Nair.
Earlier today, he said he would not leave the embassy until the government guaranteed his safety.
"I need categorical assurance on my safety," said Anwar.
The PKR de facto leader had holed up at the Turkish embassy from 6am yesterday.
Syed Hamid: He's staging a drama
Meanwhile, Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar accused Anwar of staging a drama and said that he was perfectly safe.
"No one has endangered his life, a private person has made a police report against him. You should allow the police to investigate," he told reporters.
"It is play-acting on the part of Anwar to gain sympathy, to show that his life is in danger. I give guarantees that his life will be protected, his life is not under threat at all."
tunku : last time when he was in jailed he had accused the government of giving him arsenic poison and injected him with HIV virus but funny, he's still healthy and alive till now.anwar's "BULLSHIT".

Leading human rights group Suaram said the allegations were a sign of desperation by the ruling coalition as it faced being ousted by Anwar's resurgent opposition.
"We see this as a politically motivated move by the ruling party. They are at the brink of losing power and support of the people," said Suaram's executive director Yap Swee Seng.
"I think there will be a wave of street protests in support of Anwar against these wild allegations," he said. "People are fed up with corruption and abuse of power by this regime."
tunku : this is what anwar wants. he can get enough support to form new government, so he's trying this cheap way.anwar's "BULLSHIT"

Anwar's PC at party HQ cancelled
Meanwhile, a much-anticipated press conference by Anwar at the PKR headquarters in Tropicana, Petaling Jaya did not take place tonight, much to the disappointment to the posse of journalists and supporters.
He was expected to speak to his supporters and to take questions from the media at 9pm tonight(30/6/08).
Some 200 of his supporters had gathered at the party building since 8pm, waiting to hear from their leader.
Party leaders said that Anwar was not able to come due to security reasons.
It is also learnt that he was holed up in an unknown location, in a meeting with his lawyers and this will be followed by another meeting with party leaders.

tunku : he needs time to fabricates more spicy made up stories. so please give the moron some time before he release more statements.

Call For Debate Among Candidates For Top Posts In Umno

TANAH MERAH, June 30 (Bernama) -- Umno Supreme Council member Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Tamby Chik has proposed that a debate be held among candidates for the top three posts in the party.
This will enable members to gauge the most suitable candidates for the posts based on their intellectual sharpness.
"Give each candidate a topic to handle and let party members gauge their leadership qualities.
"We want leaders who are committed and show wisdom in analysing issues at hand and able to make decisions," he told reporters after opening the 13th annual general meeting of Tanah Merah and Jeli Risda Cooperative Berhad here Monday.
Abdul Rahim, who is the Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority (RISDA) chairman, said the debate should be held only if there were contests for the top three posts in Umno, otherwise it would not be necessary.
On calls for the abolishment of the nomination quota for contesting the top posts in Umno, he said there was not enough time for that as an extraordinary general meeting had to be held first.
He hoped the proposal for a code of ethics for contestants would be introduced soon as some members felt that the party regulations were very rigid, especially on money politics.

tunku : it is a very good idea and it's about time that we practice this method for all the posts, not only top three but this is not the only method for us to choose the best candidate as some are good at talking but action zero.Another problem will be bribe.this is the main concern.

Shahrir, Azalina Deny Knowing Youth Allegedly Sodomised By Anwar

KUALA LUMPUR, June 30 (Bernama) -- Two Cabinet ministers on Monday denied knowing 23-year-old Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan who claimed to have been sodomised by Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Both Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Shahrir Samad and Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said, when approached at the Parliament lobby, said the separate photographs of them with Mohd Saiful posted on an Internet blog had nothing to do with the sodomy case.
Shahrir said Mohd Saiful could have had the picture with him taken during the Umno general assembly last year, going by the Malay attire he (Shahrir) was wearing in the picture.
Azalina said she could not remember when the photograph with Mohd Saiful and a group of students was taken nor the occasion.
Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Datuk Mustapa Mohamed, who had also been photographed with Mohd Saiful according to a picture posted on a blog, could not be reached for comment.

‘Anwar is a drama queen'

Meanwhile, three other Umno ministers also denied that they were part of any conspiracy.
Photographs of Saiful with Shahrir Abdul Samad, Mustapa Mohamed and Azalina Othman Said appeared in the Internet yesterday, fuelling speculations of Saiful's involvement with Umno figures to topple Anwar.
"I don't know him personally, I don't know who he is and where is he from. I don't remember talking to him personally," Tourism Minister Azalina told reporters at lobby.
She said the group photo where she was featured with a group of students including Saiful was mostly likely taken when she was the youth and sports minister.
"I think I look very fat then (in the photo), now I have lost weight," quipped Azalina, also denying she was any part of the alleged conspiracy.
Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Shahrir said: "Although I'm not photogenic, but I took a lot of photos with many people... the photo was probably taken during the last Umno AGM but I don't recall who he is."
Shahrir also took Anwar to task, saying: "It (the entire incident) is too much (and) seems to be like a drama, more so Anwar is a drama queen."

tunku : shahrir said it right this time, anwar is a drama queen, he can't be the king, can he?? anwar is just trying his best to find excuses .

Forensic team sweeps luxury condo

The police forensic team today visited a luxury condominium in Damansara to gather evidence in regards to a sodomy report lodged against PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim.
The forensic team spend more than five hours sweeping the unit - the scene where the alleged act had taken place, according to the complainant Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan.
Saiful had lodged a report on Saturday stating that Anwar had allegedly sodomised him at Unit 1151 of Kondominium Desa Damansara in Kuala Lumpur on June 26.
Anwar has denied this claim, calling it a total fabrication. He also filed a defamation suit against Saiful, who was his aide, this morning.
The forensic team entered the condominium at about 12.15pm and left at about 5.15pm, accompanied by five police cars and 15 police personnels.
A team of police investigators were also at the condominium where they inspected the log books at the posh residence's guard house.
The police have also spoken to the security guards and have seen hours of CCTV footages.
Security guards refused to speak to the horde of journalists who have been camping outside the condominium, saying that they have been instructed by the employers to stay silent.
No journalists were allowed to enter the condominium.
According a witness, the corridor leading to the condominium unit on the fifth floor was barred with police tape and several policemen were seen guarding the entrance.
The luxury unit is said to be worth at least RM2.2 million and its rental rates range between RM7, 500 to RM15, 000.
The condo facilities include a fitness centre, sauna, swimming pool, squash and tennis court.

Cops interview sodomy accuser, deploy forensics unit

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have interviewed Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan who accused de facto opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim of sodomising him.
It is learnt a task force set up to investigate the allegation interviewed the 23-year-old former aide to Anwar on Monday, and immediately followed up on his information, including visiting and investigating the alleged crime scene, a condominium in Damansara.
A police forensic unit was seen at the condominium for almost five hours.
Deputy Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar confirmed police had interviewed Mohd Saiful, but declined to divulge details.
“We need to be fair to all parties concerned and we assure the public that we will conduct a thorough investigation into the matter,” he said.
Ismail also said police had yet to receive any report from Anwar, his family members or his agents with regards to the alleged threat on his life. “How can we investigate who, when, where and what the threat is all about if there is no police report lodged?” he said.
Saiful had on Saturday lodged a police report alleging Anwar had sodomised him at a condominium in Damansara last Thursday.
He was admitted to the hospital here for a medical examination and is under police protection.
On Sunday morning, Anwar fled to the Turkish Embassy here, seeking shelter after he had received death threats.

tunku : anwar is threaten by sukma out of jealousy i guess.that is why he's not making any police report.condos do excites anwar.

Mohan Made MIC Youth Coordinator, Murugesan The Deputy

KUALA LUMPUR, June 30 (Bernama) -- T. Mohan, the MIC Youth social and welfare bureau chief, has been appointed the party's youth coordinator following the decision of the MIC Central Working Committee (CWC) to ask all youth leaders who have reached the age of 41 to vacate their posts.
Mohan, 35, a businessman, will have as his deputy lawyer S. Murugesan, who was the youth wing's representative to the CWC, party's highest decision-making body.
MIC president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu, in disclosing these details to Bernama, said Mohan and his team would take the advice of the newly set up MIC Youth Advisory Council, headed by former Kahang (Johor) state assemblyman S. Ramis, in carrying out activities and programmes until the MIC Youth elections next year.
Mohan had stood on a Barisan Nasional (BN) ticket in the Batu Caves (Selangor) state constituency in the general election on March 8 while Murugesan was the BN candidate for the Subang parliamentary seat. Both of them did not win the seats.
"The youth wing would now be headed by the coordinator (Mohan). Murugesan will be the deputy. The youth wing, until the party elections next year, will take the advice of the youth advisory council comprising mostly former youth leaders who have passed the age of 40," Samy Vellu said.
He said the party leadership was reorganising the MIC Youth wing in line with the constitutional requirement of the party.
"The constitution says that when a youth leader reaches the age of 41, he must vacate his position. If we do not follow this requirement, then we are only preventing hundreds and thousands of youths in the party from moving up the political ladder.
"And, as such, the decision was made to allow more younger members to join the wing and hold posts. The youth advisory council will further strengthen and oversee the functions of the youth movement," the MIC supremo said.
Yesterday, former MIC Youth chief SA. Vigneswaran announced his decision to quit the party over disagreement with the CWC ruling on the holding of posts by youth leaders who had attained the age of 41.
Samy Vellu said the main task of the youth advisory council would be to recruit as many youths as possible into the party in a bid to strengthen the MIC youth wing.
"This is part of our exercise to strengthen the party. Rebuilding would be the party's priority for the next two years. We will then start preparing for the next general election," he said.
He said Mohan and Murugesan, as their first task, would organise the MIC Youth annual general assembly scheduled for July 6.

tunku : mic should also reorganize its main body by removing it's president. the president has been there for too long and as long as we have the same president up there, mic will never get enough support and may even get worst result comes next GE.

Anwar Was Not Invited But Sought Refuge Citing Personal Security Concerns, Says Turkish Embassy

KUALA LUMPUR, June 30 (Bernama) -- The Turkish Embassy clarified Monday Parti Keadilan Rakyat de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was allowed into the ambassador's residence on humanitarian grounds.
It said the former deputy prime minister cited personal security concerns to seek refuge at the envoy's residence on Sunday for a temporary period until certain issues regarding his personal safety were addressed.
"Anwar's wish was granted on humanitarian grounds," it said in a statement.
The statement also said that at no time and under no circumstances Anwar was invited to seek protection at the embassy.
It said Anwar left the ambassador's residence at 6.45pm after been given the guarantee for his personal safety by Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim and Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar. Anwar claimed yesterday he was invited by Turkish ambassador to Malaysia Barlas Ozener to take refuge at the embassy.
Anwar took refuge at the Turkish Embassy here yesterday after a 23-year-old aide lodged a police report on Saturday alleging that Anwar had sodomised him on Thursday.
The PKR adviser claimed he had information from government sources and military intelligence that BN agents planned to harm or probably kill him and harm his family members and supporters.

tunku : and the moron said he was invited as a guest but still the ambassador had to give him shelter because he was directed so by "big hands" from the west.
