Selangor MB crisis: ROS summons PKR over Khalid’s sacking

The Registrar of Societies (ROS) has summoned PKR for questioning, presumably over Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim’s complain over his sacking from the party.

PKR supreme council member R. Sivarasa, on Wednesday, confirmed that party disciplinary committee chairman Datuk Dr Tan Kee Kwong received a letter from ROS demanding a meeting.

A group of investigators from ROS, led by ASP Akmal Yahya handed over the latter to Tan at the party's headquarters.

“There was no reason given in the letter but we are assuming that it is regarding the Mentri Besar’s sacking from the party,” he told The Star Online Wednesday.

The initial date for the questioning was set for Aug 21, but was later postponed to Aug 28.

It was reported that Khalid filed a complaint against PKR on Aug 14 over his sacking from the party claiming that it was against the party constitution.

In the complaint, filed through Bon Advocates, Khalid requested for the ROS to investigate if the PKR disciplinary committee and central leadership council had violated the party constitution by sacking him.
