No problem if one, two members decide to leave -- Mansor

PENANG: Penang PKR will not be affected if one or two party members decide to leave the party, said its liaison chairman Mansor Othman.
Mansor, who is also Chief Minister I, said: "We will not cry just because two members are leaving the party," he told reporters here today.
He was commenting on news reports that some PKR members were in the midst of leaving the party, especially in Penang, due the coalition's leadership crisis.
On the call by Nibong Tebal MP Tan Tee Beng for PKR to push for DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng to be replaced as Penang Chief Minister, Mansor said it was not the party''s stand to replace the Penang leader.
"The current rift in the party is due to one or two members who had only joined the party in recent years," he said.
Earlier today, Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng's chief of staff Jeff Ooi admitted that there were differences in opinions during the state administration's decision-making meetings.
"We were free to talk and although we had conflicting views, there were no hard feelings after each decision was made," he said.
Ooi also said it was untrue that some state executive councillors including Phee Boon Poh and Law Heng Kiang were also having problems with Lim as claimed by former DAP long-time member Tham Weng Fatt.
"We are very focused on running an administration based on competency, accountability and transparency (CAT) in Penang and so far, we have been progressing well and there''s not much problem between us," he said.
A Malay daily today reported Tham's claim of a rift between Lim and some state exco members

Tan believes Anwar aware but not acting on PKR complaints

KUALA LUMPUR: Nibong Tebal Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Member of Parliament Tan Tee Beng said today he believed PKR advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is aware of the political situation in Penang but was not acting on it.
"I think he's not acting on it... maybe he thinks compromising (with DAP) is the best way," Tan told a press conference here today.
Tan had been asked by reporters as to whether Anwar was aware of the apprehensions some PKR leaders in Penang had about Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, who is from the DAP.
Penang is governed by the Pakatan coalition which is made up of the DAP, PKR and PAS.
Earlier, Tan had claimed Lim was an arrogant leader and should be booted out of office come the next election.
He also repeated his stand that he would not retract or stop making statements about the "arrogance" of Lim despite receiving an SMS from PKR deputy president Dr Syed Hussein Ali to do so. -- BERNAMA

tunku : that is so arrogant of mansor.one or two members can pull others too and when many leaves then for sure you will cry.by right mansor call them up and sort things out but no,he think that they are untouchable lots.so we guess what zahrain and tan tee beng said is right.now the dcm follows the footstep of the cm,both of them of no class, actually three of them.now people start to realize what character they voted for.so come next election throw them out.they are up there to destroy not build the nation.
