ALOR SETAR, Feb 4 (Bernama) -- For the next three days, Kedah will be experiencing a carnival-like atmosphere as various events have been lined-up in conjunction with the launch of the state-level Juara Rakyat programme by Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on Saturday.
Fifteen Kedah Umno "godfathers" - comprising three vice-presidents and members of the party's Supreme Council - will also flock to the state to participate in the various events.
The programme will start with the launch of Umno Youth's electoral roll by Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal, who is also Kedah Umno Liaison Committee chairman, at Pekan Simpang Empat, Kerpan at 5pm on Friday.
Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin, on the other hand, is scheduled to attend a "leader-meets-the people" programme at Sekolah Menengah Hutan Kampung the same evening.
According to the programme itinerary issued by Kedah Umno Thursday, Muhyiddin, who is also Deputy Umno President, will launch the Juara Rakyat programme at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Sanglang at about 11am.
In the evening, Muhyiddin, who is also Education Minister, is scheduled to meet up with teachers in Kubang Pasu and the local community in Kota Siputeh.
tunku : who will be the godfathers? if zahid hamidi, nazri aziz,kj and mahadzir khalid are among them, better to cancel the programme.these people will make kedah remain under pas and the juara rakyat programme will be a failure.

Dear Tunkuaisha
saya bersetuju dgn pandangan Tunku. Lebih baik asingkan mereka ini daripada menyertai program tersebut agar program tersebut mencapai objektif dan tidak sia sia serta membuang masa.
One of the greatest cabinet Minister in history will forever be Dato Seri Nazri. Mahathir can rant for all he wants but the West knows that he is hated even in his own country and only the ultra racists look up to him. I think they make up 10-15% of the entire country's population
hey stupid wenger khairy's ass kisser,
admit it that yr boss days are numbered......start kissing others ass now.

1. I can't agree more with you. Aptly put, his days are numbered.
2. Getting him involved in any political activity to help garner support for the party would be a gross mis-calculation. How in God's name can a liability be of help ???
3. If support from his own exco members is deemed diminishing, then to say that he'll be able to command respect and gain greater public support this time around would be an understatement of the year.
4. The party would be well served by him doing the famous Houdini act ; disappear and NOT coming back at all.
5. If the 'Juara Rakyat' programme is to see results, then those selected to helm the project should for all intents and purposes be "JUARA's themselves , not half-past-six leaders ostracised even by their own peers !!!
6. PM Najib has to do some serious soul-searching when it comes to choosing the right person or the right candidate , for any post or even for the general election. It wouldn't be inaccurate to say that some leaders in the party are Oscar-winning actors ; these are the ones to be immediately purged and expunged !!!
7. From the MT right down to the division chiefs, an appraisal or an exercise to weed out these so-called con-men is fast needed in order for the party leadership to have an effective and solid line of aspiring leaders whose qualities commensurate with what the people need.
