PAS Slams Australian Parliamentarians' Interference In Anwar's Case

KUALA TERENGGANU, Feb 19 (Bernama) -- PAS on Friday criticised the interference by Australian Members of Parliament (MPs) in the sodomy trial of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Its president, Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang, said as a partner in the opposition coalition, he wanted the matter to be resolved according to the country's judicial system without influence from foreign elements.
"In terms of foreign intervention, as a Malaysian national, I want our country to become a sovereign nation and there is no necessity for foreign intervention, especially from the Western world...non-Muslim countries," he said.
He said this when met by reporters after opening the gathering of Kuala Terengganu Muslim Youths 2010 at the PAS headquarters in Kuala Ibai, near here.
Abdul Hadi claimed that there was intervention because of weaknesses in the country's judicial system and this had to be attended to immediately so that the judiciary would command the respect of everyone.

tunku : i hope mahfuz can learn something from hadi awang.the president saying something, the vice president and the senile murshid saying something else.i guess deep in hadi's heart he knew that anwar is guilty as charged.that is why you never see hadi coming to the court to support anwar.hadi should explain to pas members of his stand.

All along PAS leaders knew about Anwar's weaknesses especially Mohd Sabu who introducted the term ALJUBURI, Mahfuz Omar and Taib Azamuddin but because of political reasons they kept silent.

Believe me, if Anwar were still in the govt, the DVD that is in their possession would be circulated all over the country.
