Umno Members Told To Improve Attendance To Delegates' Meetings

SANDAKAN, Aug 8 (Bernama) -- Umno secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor has called on party members and leaders to improve attendance to Umno delegates' meetings.
He said that attending meetings was important as this would give them the opportunity to express their views through the proper party channel and to contribute to decision-making process as well as to help solve issues raised by party members.
"Never ever try to voice out grouses outside the party channel as this can undermine the party.
"It is therefore the responsibility of members and leaders to attend meetings so that they are able to know problems faced by the party and the people," he said when opening the Kinabatangan Umno delegates' meeting here today.
Tengku Adnan also called on grassroots members to choose delegates who were able to shoulder the responsibility entrusted to them and not those who were motivated by personal gain.

tunku : may be the umno secretary general should make sure that all it's members receive notice for the meeting.many of umno members are not informed and don't even know when is the meeting.make sure all the branches updates it's members list and their contact numbers as nowadays almost everyone has handphone.many of them now have emails too.
