KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 19 (Bernama) -- Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad Wednesday said, PAS Spiritual Leader Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat was a superhuman for being able to determine whether an individual would go to heaven or hell after death."He is a superhuman. An ordinary human being can only go to heaven or hell after death but cannot return to relate to us. We do not know whether Nik Aziz himself will go to heaven or hell. That is something we cannot say.
"I am amazed at Nik Aziz's ability to determine who goes to heaven and hell. Everybody who knows him, better go and ask him (whether they are going to heaven or hell)," he told reporters when asked to comment on a statement by the Kelantan menteri besar yesterday.
Nik Aziz had said that Muslims who separated "iman" (faith) from Islam would not go to heaven, adding that the two were inseparable, just like the body and soul, and that they must be together or one.
Dr Mahathir said no human being in this world could determine whether an individual would go to heaven or hell after death.
"A most pious person, if he harbours any ill intention, might also go to hell," he told reporters after the International Medical University (IMU)convocation where he was awarded an honorary Doctor of Medicine.
The former prime minister said that as an ordinary human being what one could do was to be a good human being.
Asked about a suggestion that the National Fatwa Council issue a "fatwa" (decree) on the matter, he said that would be unnecessary.
On another matter, Dr Mahathir said he agreed with a government proposal to drop the requirement to state a person's race on official forms.
He said this should have been implemented long ago because in the context of Malaysia, the question of race could be determined based on a person's name.
On checking the spread of Influenza A(H1N1), Dr Mahathir said he felt that the government could do much more, including stepping up publicity and awareness.
He said the people should adopt precautionary measures such as wearing masks and isolate themselves if necessary.

.....Kalau dia nampak tanda yang bagus (seperti dalam mimpi atau macam tenguk wayang)dia ke syurga, kalau tanda tak bagus seperti nampak binatang/hantu atau jeritan/panas, dia ke neraka.Itu cakap orang yang berpengalaman /"nampak"(bukan dengan mata tapi dengan kesedaran nya (consciousness/conscious mind) sebelum mati.
Nak ke syurga...selalu buat baik jangan buat jahat sekali pun.

What can you expect from a man, more senile than rationale ! This isn't the first time that he has made a fool of himself.
You would think that this man is indeed a picture of excellence in as far as religious knowledge is concerned. Perhaps he visions himself to be one ; an ulama whose credentials supersedes all other academicians, religious scholars, Islamic intellectuals, Majlis Fatwa, State Muftis etc. It would be wise to really check on his qualifications !
But to those who adore him will surely attest to his wisdom and worse still bring themselves to even belittle those who are far more superior in terms of intellect, knowledge and academicia ! Like they always say, In the world of the blind, the one-eyed is the king ! Looks like he's not only playing KING but GOD as well !
Now he wants to meet (perhaps to explain or perhaps to vehemently deny making 'those' un-called for statements) the Majlis Fatwa. Knowing him and his antics (or theatrics)you are going to see a drama enfolding during this 'meeting'. Denying, retraction and surely challenging will be in his menu ! For a man who wants to play GOD, submission or admission of guilt, worst still to apologise, is something that he'll not readily do. Let's wait and see how the drama unfurls !
I would suggest for a religious scholar to be accepted as saint-like and braving to play God, he or she must first be a politician. And from there make sure that Islam or its teachings takes second place to POLITICS ! Be pretty cunning and only make interpretations, edicts, fatwas etc etc to tailor to your political needs and to group's advantage !
For there in the outside world, bigots and hypocrites await thee ! And unashamnedly, even those in the upper echelon of religious pundits bow their heads in complete subservience and admission to this MAN ( I say an ordinary man , not GOD )who for all intents and purposes, is just a politician first !!! Shame on you guys for 'failing to see the trees for the forest '
