Najib Yet To Decide Whether To Contest Umno President's Post
KUALA LUMPUR, June 27 (Bernama) -- Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said Thursday he has yet to decide whether to contest the Umno presidency in the party elections in December.
Asked by reporters whether he would contest if he were to receive enough nominations from the Umno divisions, Najib, who is also Umno deputy president, said it was not the time yet for him to make the announcement.
"I will make the decision when the time comes, there is still time," he told reporters after attending the Barisan Nasional (BN) Supreme Council meeting, here Thursday night.
Under the Umno regulations, the candidate for the presidency must obtain nominations from at least 30 per cent of the total Umno divisions in the country.
tunku : that is the biggest hint najib has given umno members so far.if he will not fight for the presidency post he would have said that he will not fight for it and will defend his deputy post. for najib to say it openly now is like to commit suicide. he has been hit by many bullets even now(before announcing to fight the presidency post) from within umno and outside umno. his enemy are from the same group. his boss's army and anwar's army. his boss is trying to get anwar to come in(umno) so that he'll be safe in the future together with his family(secret deal).
the branches are going to have their meeting soon. the grassroot members should come out now to support the tag team of najib(president) and muhyiddin(deputy president) team. all these while muhyiddin was outspoken because of najib (reliable source). umno future is in the hand of its members now. be brave enough not to nominate pak lah again and nominates najib and muhyiddin team in.

The leadership has to go back to our Tun generation. We need REAL strong Malay to lead the Malay as it would solve 99% of the real issue. I could not agree more with "conspiracy theorist".
Our young generation of Malay is not Malay enough to lead this leadership. That the fact. The more senior must lead. No choice and Rakyat could see this also.
Only the grassroots could save the Malay and UMNO. Only the UMNO grassroots could elect a real leader for our Malaysian to depend on. May God send his wisdom to all the grassroots. So help us all God.
