Govt Plans 'Hadhari Mosque' In Each State

JOHOR BAHARU, June 17 (Bernama) -- The government plans to build one "Hadhari Mosque" in each state this year.
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the idea came from the management of Bandar Baru Uda Jamek Mosque here who had been successful in strengthening the unity among the various levels of society.
"The Bandar Baru Uda Jamek Mosque's success can be emulated by others.
"This mosque is not only a place for prayers but also have facilities like for hemodialysis and health treatment and offer many programmes for youths and women," he told reporters when visiting the mosque Tuesday.
He said that for the start, the government would develop the Salahudin Al-Ayubi Mosque in Gombak to be like the Bandar Baru Uda Jamek Mosque before building similar mosques in other states.
The RM4.2 million Bandar Baru Uda Jamek Mosque was opened in 1997 and managed by the Bandar Baru Uda Jamek Mosque Foundation.

tunku : first of all i don't understand why it's called 'hadhari mosque'? we don't have to build new one for this concept as we can upgrades the existing mosques.it should not be only one in each state but in each division if possible.
