25 Umno branches back Ku Li and Muhyiddin

MUAR: Twenty-five Umno branches in the Pagoh division have passed a joint resolution calling for Umno veteran Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah and party vice-president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to contest the party president and deputy president posts respectively.The branches, which held a joint extraordinary meeting at Kampung Simpang Empat Sungai Terap on Sunday, also want Umno to abolish the quota system in party elections.Kampung Raja Umno branch chairman Daud Hasbulah said the branches also proposed for nominations to contest for any post in Umno
elections be limited to only two.“We also want the party’s supreme council not to impose the no-contest decision for the posts of party president and deputy president.This no-contest decision by the council for the two top posts has been practised for several years and it is time Umno has an open election for all posts,” he said at the joint meeting on Sunday.



tunku : this momentum should not stop. it has to go on. i guess if najib is so afraid, then let it be Ku Li and Muhyiddin combination to fight pak lah and najib but will muhyiddin do that? a very big question mark.i salute to these 25 branches of Pagoh for their bravery and courages joint resolution calling for Ku Li and Muhyiddin to contest the party president and deputy president posts respectively.
