Khairy Jamaludin the son in-law of Malaysian prime minister has confirmed of his nomination for the Rembau parliamentary seat.Abdullah Badawi has set a new trend where a prime minister can nominate family member.
Meanwhile,Fong Po Kuan, DAP member of parliament for Perak’s Batu Gajah seat, has reversed her decision not to defend her seat.
At a press conference in her constituency today, Fong said that she was ready to contest Batu Gajah, a seat which she has served for the past two terms.
Her dramatic reversal came after days of persuasion from party leaders for her to defend seat.
DAP leader Lim Kit Siang, who had earlier said Fong was "incommunicado", was able to speak to her yesterday to convince the popular 35-year-old politician to change her mind.She has repeated said that she will stick with her decision but in DAP everything is possible.May be all this while it was just a drama stage by DAP to hope for sympathy votes.

Kenapa tak bertanding di Putra Jaya as boasted earlier? Takut undi protes? Yang menakutkan agaknya ialah pengundi Putra Jaya majoriti ialah kakitangan kerajaan yang rata-rata tahu dan tidak bersetuju apa yang dibuat KJ di "Tingkat 4" 'tu. Pengundi Rembau perlu diberitahu akan hal ini.
