BN Youth wing’s two-pronged plan to end PAS rule in Kelantan

KUALA LUMPUR: Barisan Nasional Youth will employ two approaches to recapture PAS-governed Kelantan – by telling the people that 18 years of PAS rule is enough and getting the 50,000 youths living outside the state to return to vote.
Umno Youth deputy chief Khairy Jamaluddin said Barisan Youth at national and state levels had embarked on a campaign using the slogan Pade Doh, which means “enough is enough” in the Kelantanese dialect.
“We are telling the people that 18 years of empty promises is enough. It is time for change,” he said at a press conference here yesterday.
The campaign logo – a circle with a slash over the number 18 – will appear on posters and T-shirts.
“They should try us for five years and make a comparison. Surely after 18 years, you do not want the same thing.
“There will be a big wave sweeping the state reaching the younger generation in Kelantan soon,” he said.
Khairy said there were over 50,000 young voters from Kelantan who had migrated from the state and 30,000 of them were in the Klang Valley.
“They can determine our victory. It is important because PAS won the 2004 election by a small majority and we do not want to repeat the same mistake,” he said.
He said a Pakat Kelik Ngundi (Kelantanese for “Let’s go back together to vote”) operations room had been set up by the Kelantan Barisan Youth in Kuala Lumpur.
The operations room provides free service for Kelantanese voters in the Klang Valley to look up their polling district and centre as well as bus schedules to go back for polling day.
The centre's number is 03-4043-9517, fax: 03-4042-0905 and mobile/SMS: 017-7527-775/ 017-2631-455.
“We are on the brink of taking over Kelantan. This is the final push,” Khairy said, adding that the wing would soon come up with sports, religious, social and economic proposals for the state.

tunku : khairy is heading the bn youth campaign in kelantan and bn has good chance to wrest kelantan from pas and if they wins in kelantan all the credit will go to khairy.
