BN’s main threat is from within, says Khairy

BERA: Umno Youth deputy chief Khairy Jamaluddin says the Barisan Nasional’s main threat in the general election is not the Opposition, but splits within members of the component parties.
He said the Opposition was not strong, but appeared otherwise because of certain individuals, unlike Barisan which had many quality leaders.
“The opposition pact is just a marriage of convenience, unlike the coalition in Barisan which remains solid not only during elections but at all times,” he told reporters after launching Barisan Youth's election machinery in the Bera parliamentary constituency yesterday.
He said Barisan members should unite and work as a team to win big in the elections, adding that they should not have any ill feelings if they were not nominated as candidates.
“The choice of candidates is the prerogative of the party leadership, and those who lobby, especially at the last hour, to become candidates are just wasting their time because the leadership knows better,” he said. – Bernama

tunku: what kayjay said is true, opposition pact is just a marriage of conveniance, that is the most sad part of our political scenario. if only our opposition has credibility and strong enough..... anyway this kayjay realizes that even umno members hates him, that's why he is more concern about the splits in within the party.everyone showing affection to him just because he is the SON IN-LAW.now that he is almost for sure be a candidate in the coming GE, make sure he will never win the seat, but i guess that would be almost impossible as he would be contesting at a "safe" place and lots of RM flowing in.
