Kota Bharu(Bernama): Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's criticism of thegovernment all this while shows that he sides with the opposition,Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz said yesterday.
He said the former prime minister should admit this because his criticisms had also affected the Barisan Nasional's preparations for the next general election.
"that he has slammed the governmentshows that he actually sides with the opposition,"he told reporters after meeting the people in Kampung Khatib Ali.
Commenting on this,Nazri said it was clear that Dr Mahathir's criticism in the past were "very pro-opposition" and did not do any good to our country and party.
"When giving views, don't make things difficult for us because we are preparing for a general election,"he said.

"I am not supporting the opposition, I (just) want to ensure Umno remains strong. Giving support blindly without upholding Umno's principles will eventually make the party become very weak,"said Tun Mahathir last week
