Tun Dr Mahathir In Stable Condition

LANGKAWI, May 14 (Bernama) -- Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who is being treated at the Langkawi Hospital after complaining of breathing difficulty, is in stable condition, said Kedah Health director Dr Hasnah Ismail.
She said that except for immediate family members, no one was allowed to visit the former prime minister who was warded at the hospital's Intensive Care Unit.
Dr Hasnah said he was admitted to the hospital at 4.15pm.
Tun Dr Mahathir, who is here on a private visit, was resting in his room at the Langkasuka Hotel when he had breathing difficulty and was driven to the hospital by his personal physician, Dr Nasir Muda.
Tun Dr Mahathir and his wife, Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohamed Ali, arrived on the resort island at 11am today and were initially scheduled to leave tomorrow.
