Kuala Lumpur (Bernama):DAP chairman Karpal Singh yesterday dared MIC president Datuk Seri Samy Vellu to stand against him or Opposition leader Lim Kit Siang in any constituency in the next General Election.
He threw the challenge barely a day after Samy Vellu, who is also Works Minister, had challenged Parti Keadilan rakyat (PKR) advisor, Anwar Ibrahim to stand against him (Samy Vellu) in any constituency in the next general election.
"Samy Vellu knows that the next GE will be called before April next year when Anwar becomes eligible to stand for election.As usual, Samy does not throw out challenges which are meaningful,"he said in a statement issued here yesterday.
"Is he prepared to take Lim Kit SIang or myself in any constituency? I dare him to accept this challlenge if he is man enough."said Karpal.
tunku : first of all, what can karpal do, NOTHING.he cannot be an effective MP at all.He can't walk by himself,how would he look after a constituency? The voters should look at this very seriously.back to the above statement, why you have to challenge samy vellu, comes the next GE just fight him in Sungai Siput if you and lim kit siang man enough.

I agree with the comment above. His passion for fighting for human rights makes him as capable if not more than any other MP in our country. Furthermore why do people keep taunting Kit Siang and Karpal Singh to challenge Samy Vellu at Sungai Siput? If you believe that he can do nothing then why dont you taunt Samy Vellu to challenge him at his consistuency?

karpal singh bled malaysian blood in his struggle to defend our rights in this constitution. like many other opposition leaders, he was detained in ISA before. he didn't stop there. opposition leaders are volunteers. they're battle with their own blood money. give them their dignity. show them some respect. they're not celebrated like BN's PM okay? our constitution dont really, i mean truely appreciate these opposition leaders.
