KJ hits at FAM

Khairy Not Defending FAM Deputy President's Post

KUALA LUMPUR, July 18 (Bernama) -- Khairy Jamaluddin Sunday announced that he will not be defending his post as deputy president of the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) for the 2010-2015 term.
Khairy, who held the post from 2007, hoped the new candidate replacing him would be able to take a re-look at the FAM's progress as a whole, and claimed that the FAM, as the country's football parent body, had failed to build a strong football structure.
He said this was due to the internal problems within the FAM that led to the withdrawal of many of the sponsors.
Speaking to reporters here today, he said there were many sponsors for the local league previously but the private sector now preferred to sponsor advertisements for the World Cup and the English Premier League (EPL).
"We can't blame them because the returns (from the EPL) are higher. If they sponsor the local league, to get a few thousand supporters for one match will be difficult," he said.
Khairy claimed that the FAM had also failed to coordinate the football structure at the grassroots level which was also the reason why the national team failed to get quality players for the national team.
In fact, he claimed that the FAM did not have sufficient financial resources to develop a strong football structure at the grassroots level.
"More than 90 per cent of the FAM's financial allocation was spent to organise the local league to the extent that the FAM could not meet its promise to improve the country's football structure," he said.
Khairy claimed that less than 10 per cent of the FAM's financial allocation was spent for the district league.

tunku : just because he knows that he stand no chance of retaining his seat at FAM, he made the decision not to defend his post.that's fine but just look at his evil side.why only now are you hitting at FAM? why not before this? why didn't you do your part as the FAM deputy president? you got the post because of your father in-law.you failed miserably kj, both as Umno youth chief and also as FAM deputy president.

So arrogant was he when his sleepy father-in-law was in power!
He deserves what he gets. The man's a phoney.

1. You sort of get that 'funny feeling' that something unexpected or perhaps very expected, something fishy to the extent of being bizarre, is going to happen to some one, to some groups, to the peers,to those in power, and of course even to the man himself !

2. The whitish foam looming on yonder horizon signals the ominous calamity and destruction that a tsunami would wreck upon man and property. The billowing black smoke with intermittent shots of leaping flames clearly signals the impending explosive gush of red molten lava that destroys evertyhing in its furious path.

3.Yes, we would be foolish to disregard those tell-tale signals. Sometimes, what one does or tries to portray, are mere cover-ups of either one's weaknesses OR one's devious future plans !
A stint , a very short military training, does not a soldier make ! Likewise, a brief stint with the national soccer body, has not shown even an iota of credence and credible leadership. Surely on the same note, leadership that is expected of a movement leader but had miserably failed, is testimony of one's inability to rise to the occasion !Mediocrity at its best, perhaps !

4. Thus, again on the 'perhaps note', one has to cover-up one's own weaknesses with intriguing and sudden explosive actions and re-actions to attract attention even sympathy. Failure has to be veiled from public scrutiny, somehow ! Even showing brashness and callous name-calling with absurd labelling of stronger protoganists in defence of a peer, seems all right to repair damaged personality.Even showing humility in not wanting to defend one's own position which at the outset was vehemently chased, seems to be an acceptable form of diversion. In fact " To a drowning man, even a small twig is a saviour "

5. Brothers, we have to read in between the lines. Never take things at face value ! I suspect something is brewing up. Why the sudden surge of self-attracting actions which had been given undue attention by the media, lately ? I smell a rat ! I would rather like for the media to simply give the 'cold-storage' treatment!
