PAS Internal Crisis Should Be Resolved Through Discussions, Says Hadi

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 25 (Bernama) -- PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang said the party's internal crisis should be discussed through 'musyawarah' (discussions) and not through the mass media and new media.
He said amicable discussions which had always been the culture and guideline in PAS should be the approach used as stipulated in the party constitution.
"In this regard, I am asking PAS leaders and members at all levels to be patient and calm in the face of this internal conflict," he said in a statement issued Sunday night.
This was Hadi's first statement after PAS' spiritual leader and Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat in his blog, www.bloktokguru.com suggested that an extraordinary general meeting he held to replace three problematic leaders.
The leaders referred to were party vice-president Nasharuddin Mat Isa, secretary-general Datuk Mustafa Ali and Selangor PAS commissioner Datuk Dr Hassan Ali.
Hadi said he had asked Mustafa to set a suitable date for a meeting to discuss the arising issues.
"We pray to Allah to always give us blessing and guidance for us to resolve issues and strengthen the party," he said.
Nik Aziz's call for the EGM to be held has drawn various reactions from party members, while those regarded as the problematic leaders have chosen to keep quiet or to seek clarification on his statement.
Party vice-president Salahuddin Ayub was today reported as saying that the question of holding an EGM did not arise anymore as the party would instead hold a special meeting to discuss the internal issues as proposed by Nik Aziz when they met in Kota Baharu yesterday.

tunku : one guy(hadi) wants to solve matters through discussion and the other guy(nik aziz) wants an egm to resolve matters.it is so obvious that pas leadership is divided into two team now. like what DS Najib said that pas is divided into two fraction, one that is more political while the other is more sincere about working for the Ummah.for sure the more political is nik aziz the senile old man's group.he doesn't care about unity of the ummah, for him his personal glory and ego is far more important and above all.
