Anwar's sodomy case among reasons to quit

Port Klang assemblyperson Badrul Hisham Abdullah has cited PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim's sodomy trial as among the reasons for him to quit the party.
At a press conference this evening, Badrul said he getting suspicious over Anwar's continuous delays in proceeding with the trial and his refusal to elaborate on the matter to party members.
"As a Muslim who steadfastly holds to Islamic principles, a leader's morals is paramount in gaining my support," he said, reading from a prepared text.
He also claimed that PKR president and Anwar's wife Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail had refused to explain about the sodomy allegations.
"This is the main reason for my decision (to quit PKR) because I'm a Muslim and a public figure. I cannot compromise on moral issues, such as the ones faced by PKR leaders," he said.

tunku : actually everyone in pakatan knows that anwar is a sodomizer.hadi awang, lim kit siang, mat sabu, karpal and even wan azizah knows it but remain silence as they are gaining support by using anwar.it was the pas and dap leaders who brought up anwar's sodomizing activities before he was sacked from Umno and now they shut their mouth.this is the people who does not have morals.for them power is more important than moral.those who still have some values and morals in them, please leave pakatan.

1. The leader being a sodomizer is one thing.

2. His colleagues who at one time despised him, even attacked him personally over his sodomistic behaviour but are now championing his cause as very staunch supporters, is another issue that makes no sense to non-politicians.

3. Which proves the point that 'Politics is the art of the Impossible'. To a politician, one can be an enemy today but a close friend and confidente tomorrow. Who cares about character ? Who bothers about public opinions ? Why make a fuss over something personal though degrading and immoral ?

4. For as long as the one-time enemy can propogate and hasten our ascendency to power, we can sacrifice our noble values and accept him into our fold. And surely that will make us even more immoral than him !

5. As leaders in the world of politics, be they in the government or in the opposition, good moral values is something we endear ourselves to. The public expect political leaders to be 'knights in shining armour' !

6, Judging by the charades, skirmishes, internal bickerings, scandals, corruptions, cover-ups, jealousy, accusations and illogical outbursts, one cannot blame the public and the would-be voters to be apprehensive every time they walk over to the ballot box. It bothers their conscience if they should 'pick the wrong horse' the next time around.

7. The YBs are expected to perform their roles and duties , as suited to their being in the opposition or government. Each must play his part as prescribed in the the tenets of parliamentary democracy. But looking at what's happening in Parliament or the Dewan Undangan Negeri ( Perak is a case in point),morons and gansters are too refined a word to describe some of them.

8. So, is it any wonder that the public simply loathe these YBs who go into the august house and make a fool of themselves, completely disregarding their roles and duties as the people's rep.

9. Coming back to the core issue, the reason to quit a party on the grounds that the leader is immoral and untrustworthy, is indeed a noble reason ; an action that should be respected by all and sundry ! We hope there will be others like him who will trigger off a chain reaction to cleanse the party from rotten and unsavioury leaders ; worse still the leaders who are aptly described as 'traitors to his own race' !

10. And for those who , despite knowing the 'devil' that he is, but still blindly supports him, must certainly be condemned as traitors themselves. Worse still, 'an ulama' who worships 'a devil' must look into himself and see whether he still fears God ! Or whether he can still call himself a man of God !!!

It is Anwar Ibrahim who should quit the party until the case against him is cleared. That is the conventional wisdom in a Parliamentary system of government.Look at other political parties and learn. Once you are caught doing somethig wrong either you step aside on your own free will or the party must have the courage to tell you to step aside until your name is cleared. The only person who can tell Anwar this is his wife.Ramalx
