Ibrahim Ali's Frogs And Blue-Eyed Houseflies Tales

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 28 (Bernama) — It is customary that every Dewan Rakyat sitting accounts the sharp insinuations of Pasir Mas Member of Parliment, Datuk Paduka Ibrahim Ali, which often result in laughter amongst his fellow MPs.
Today’s sitting brought tales of frogs and blue-eyed houseflies. These tales were told to mock the Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim (PKR-Permatang Pauh), who has often likened Ibrahim to a frog for his party-hopping ways.
The PKR leader hurled a jibe towards Ibrahimyesterday when debating a bill. “I want to speak of this frog; hopping frog, frog under a coconut shell whose brain does not expand, frozen,”, says the Permatang Pauh MP.
“The frog under the coconut shell hops from padi-field to padi-field, it does not hop to America, does not hop far, just nearby,” countered Ibrahim when debating the 2010 Supply Bill.
He went on to say that the hopping frog did not bear disease; instead he pointed that what carries disease is the green housefly. “The green housefly looks beautiful, blue eyes. Beautiful and makes a sound when flying but when it sets down anywhere it brings disease be it dengue, cholera and the like.
“Because it bears disease, so don't be a green housefly but certainly now we have problems with the green housefly. But the hopping frog can eat the green housefly,” he insinuated.
Earlier, Ibrahim, who did not allow for any interruption, put forward 32 points of various issues for debate including, issues related to maids, contract workers, padi subsidy, and issues related to Kelantan.
