KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 9 (Bernama) -- The Sessions Court on Friday was told that a warrant of arrest issued against blogger Raja Petra Raja Kamaruddin could not be served as he still could not be traced despite various efforts by the police.
Deputy public prosecutor Mohd Hafiz Mohd Yusoff said the show cause notice to Raja Petra's bailor, Mable@Marina Lee, also could not be served.
He said this at the trial of Raja Petra, who is charged with defaming the prime minister's wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor and two others.
Today is the second time the case was called up for mention. The first was on May 26 when the arrest warrant was issued.
Raja Petra, 59, is charged with defaming Rosmah, Lt. Col Abdul Aziz Buyong and his wife Lt. Col Norhayati Hassan, in a statutory declaration made at the Jalan Duta Court complex here at 10.25am on June 18 last year.
Investigating officer ACP Aziz Zakaria, who was testifying under oath, said police had taken various steps to locate Raja Petra, including placing an officer to monitor his house in Sungai Buloh.
"We do receive information on Raja Petra's movement and have tried to locate him at several locations where he would normally be, but until now we don't know where he is," he added.
He said efforts to track down Raja Petra would continue as he also had a case at the Petaling Jaya Sessions Court, which had also issued an arrest warrant against him.
Aziz also said he could not ascertain if Raja Petra was still in the country or not.
Judge Mohamad Sakeri Mamat set Nov 13 for final mention of the case.

He cannot be found because the govt doesn't want him to be found. I'm sure his family is still in Malaysia. if we tap their numbers and follow teir movements, it will lead us to where this bloke is.
Anyone who thinks he is beyond trace is naive. We have the best intelligence agency in South East Asia.
There is an saying in Indonesian roughly translated means ' when a man is pretending to sleep you cannot wake him up. It is a question of weather they want to trace him or not. With all due respect I think that you should re caliberate and refine your reading of the situation. Ramal
it took many many years for indonesian to trace down nordin mat top in their on country what else this bustard who is not in the country.get real people.
Some say Raja Petra is in Wales, the homeland of his grandfather.
I think the authorities are not keen to get him out of hiding for reasons best known to them. I can only speculate that, if brought to court, Raja Petra may make damaging statements about certain political bigwigs. Regardless of the truth or lack thereof, these statements may stick a negative impression on the personalities involved.

if he has support from overseas, it will be tougher to trace
anyway, if the majority SEES through this story teller, his foreign sponsors will lose interest in funding him
if he has evidence against najib and others he should have come out but he is hiding like a chicken because he is the biggest liar on earth.
Blogger Rebuked For Questioning Police Inability To Locate Raja Petra
SHAH ALAM, Oct 15 (Bernama) -- Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan hit out at a blogger for ridiculing the police for not being able to locate Malaysia Today editor Raja Petra Raja Kamarudin and serve him a warrant of arrest.
Musa said it was not a weakness on the part of the police but rather Raja Petra chose to hide instead of seeking justice in court.
"Why does he hide? If what he had posted on his blog was true he should be brave enough to face the law.
"Since he chose to run away then he knows what he is doing is wrong. Why should you say it is a police weakness," he told reporters at the Selangor Police Contingent's Aidilfitri and Deepavali open house here on Thursday.
Asked whether Raja Petra is still in the country, Musa said, "I don't know."
On Monday, the Petaling Jaya Sessions Court fixed Nov 11 as the final mention date to give the prosecution and the police a last chance to locate Raja Petra and serve him a warrant of arrest to bring him to court.
The warrant of arrest against Raja Petra was issued on April 24. Two mention dates on May 22 and July 17 were previously given to allow the police time to serve the warrant.
Raja Petra went missing after seven prosecution witnesses testified in his trial.

Does anyone actually expect someone who has been detained under ISA twice to be stupid enough to turn up the 3rd time?
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
