KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 4 (Bernama) -- Umno supreme council member Datuk Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim, who was allegedly punched by several PAS supporters on Saturday, was admitted to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital here Saturday night with a soft tissue injury.
Abdul Azeez said he was rushed to the hospital after he vomitted and fainted at his house in Subang Jaya near here upon returning from the nomination of the Bagan Pinang state by-election in Port Dickson yesterday.
Soft tissue injury is damage of the soft tissue of the body.
"After the Maghrib prayer, I felt like fainting, I threw up and passed out. I was in pain and my blood pressure shot up to 65/95. It was never that high before," he told reporters at the hospital today.
Abdul Azeez, who claimed that he was punched on his neck as he was walking towards the nomination centre, said an X-ray showed that there was no fracture on his neck.
Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, who managed to evade the incident, visited Abdul Azeez at the hospital.
Abdul Azeez had lodged a report at the Port Dickson District Police Headquarters.
tunku : we know that some of pas supporters like hooligans or gangsters.no doubt about how the opposition supporters behaves during elections.they think they are the king and no one can stop them.then again, i hope azeez would not exaggerate his condition.we know that he was punched few times by the opposition gangsters.next time be extra careful when you know there are gangsters around especially from the opposition party.hope that azeez will avoid active politics if he has high blood pressure.active politics is bad for a person who's having high blood pressure which can lead to heart attack.
