BN ‘seriously considering’ IPF as member

KUALA LUMPUR: After 20 years of unwavering support towards Barisan Nasional, it looks like the Indian Progressive Front (IPF) may finally become a full-fledged member of the coalition.
At Barisan’s supreme council meeting on Tuesday, coalition chairman Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi had said that it would seriously consider IPF’s long-standing application to become a member, as well as applications from several other smaller parties.
According to Barisan secretary-general Datuk Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, Abdullah made the statement in his opening remarks at the meeting, indicating that there was a very real possibility of IPF being accepted.
“I am looking forward to welcoming IPF who has always been our friend, as a mate soon,” Tengku Adnan said when opening IPF's 16th annual meeting here on Sunday.
IPF president Puan Seri Jayashree Pandithan in her policy speech said that the party would continue to support and help Barisan although its membership application had yet to be approved.
Tengku Adnan said Barisan has always been thankful for the support shown by IPF all these years, especially during general and by-elections.
Adnan said he did not see many difficulties for IPF to be accepted as a member since it has always shared and believed in the Barisan spirit.
“As Barisan and Umno secretary-general, I fully support IPF’s application,” he added.

tunku : bn should accept ipf as its component party.if majority in bn wants ipf to be in, then accept them.after all ipf has been loyal to bn all these while without any doubts not like some of the component parties which like to blackmail all the time.we don't have to just ask mic or ppp only whether to accept ipf or not.

PPP can say "goodbye" to BN and BN can welcome IPF to the club.IPF is still unknown to the masses unlike MIC and PPP but hopefully they'll perform far better than both party combined.BN is always in need of any component party that got their own principle but still have respect to BN standing as well.

yeah bring 'em in.
It definitly going to upset the indian base component as this will surelly futher complicating their effort for more lucrative post in federal gov..

Speaking ab loyalty..yeah ipf or even kima is still outside n has never hide their affection n strong desire to be inside the circle. Looking at this, how on earth ones to expect them not to put sweet word n curry favour the bn as always..pluss the indian/mamak side in them, if you know what i mean.

PPP is different, its alredy inside and this make a whole lotta different lah.If not then, you will heard all kind of licking n kicking all years round...Regarding their chieftain, Kayveas only interested in getting the cheap personal political mileage, salvage his meagre parties and perhap keep it in the main news, such are indifferent of most of the issue they talk about me think.

Macam mana nak berjuang sama2 kalau kesetiaan tu takda?
