Ikhwan Muslimin And PR Are Two Different Parties

The success of Party FJP who placed their candidates including Ikhwan Muslimin, Dr. Mohamed Morsi is seen by Pakatan Rakyat as an inspiration. According to the Opposition Leader, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, like what was proposed by Harakah, which is Fikrah, the victory of Dr. Morsi and the changes which happened in the Arab world today could be spread to Malaysia with the attitude which rakyat are showing nowadays.
In a way, Anwar had also proven the fact that he really has the intention to bring down the government with violence like what was done by the Egyptians.
For really wanting to be the next Prime Minister, Anwar has always imagined himself being in line with other Freedom fighters such as Aung Suu Kyi, Ghandi etc. And when Egypt suffered rebel and when Morsi was taken as the President, Anwar quickly described himself as Morsi, and his party, Pakatan Rakyat, as Ikhwan Muslimin.
The fact is, Morsi and Anwar are two very different people. PR and FJP with PR are two very different parties. While in PAS, even PAS, the party which 'appears' to be the most Islamic party, is not as same as Ikhwan Muslimin.
First, dduring the era of Mubarak, Ikhwan Muslimin can only compete on free ticket because the organization was not acknowledged. While Anwar and any of his parties' rights have never been denied his rights to compete on party ticket.
Even though Ikhwan Muslimin brings the image of Conservative Islam, but it is not as same as PAS. Ikhwan Muslimin does not put aside their mission objective just to win election. They kept Islam as a platform with a much open approach. If back then, the party would push women to the side, but today Ikhwan Muslimin only limits the position of women in politics where they cannot become candidates, but they are allowed to be members of the cabinet.
Thus, this is why this party is vastly different to be compared to PKR who puts Wan Azizah, Anwar's wife as the President.
Because the platform that is implemented by Ikhwan Muslimin is Islam, so the party do not bring any open aspiration and as liberal as PKR where they support the gays and acknowledge their fight on the name of human rights.
Morsi, Egypt's new President is a leader with caliber and has a good personality, something that is far apart from Anwar who has been proven to be a sod and often abuses his power. Morsi also do not have any scandals with prostitutes like Anwar.
That is why we see that Anwar putting himself at the same level as Morsi is actually a form of insult.
The only reason why Egyptians rebelled was because of the economic breakdown which then effected the lives of its people. Earlier this year, the financial reserve of the country was only left with USD10 billion, compared to USD36 billion which they had before the riots. Foreign investments also stopped due to the decreasing number of tourists.
Due to that, subsidies had to be withdrawn and the price of food and routine items went up more than twice from its original price. The percentage of unemployment also went up to 12 - 24 percent, compared to 9 - 12 percent prior to the riots.
Malaysians never really had to go through all of that. Instead, we are one of the fanciest countries in this region. Thus, why do we need to rebel and suffer like how Egyptians suffered, just to turn Anwar as the Prime Minister.
Even then, we still do not know what to expect about Morsi, whether he could become a better leader than Mubarak. If we are to see his first four measures as President, we could find that he does not have a very good long-term vision.
The four measure are:
1. To donate his salary to those in need.
2. Prohibiting his pictures to be put on walls of government building and to print any congratulatory adverts for him in papers.
3. Promising that he would sentence those who killed rioters by prosecuting the former President and Home Minister.
4. Ordering authorities to lessen up the amount of escort vehicles for the President so that the would not be any traffic congestion.
If that is the only thing that the President demand for, it seems that Egypt would be in the same position (growth) for a while going down slowly, or waiting for another riot to come up.
Thus, Malaysians should think again before they gamble with their lives by following Anwar's orders to follow exactly what the Egyptians did.

tunku : malaysian should understand, the situation in egypt was different than malaysia. malaysia is a fully democratic country and has election every 5 years and anyone can fight the election. we do not discriminate anyone and there is much more freedom in malaysia if you compare with egypt. malaysian should not mix up the situation in egypt, their new leader is a good muslim and does not do all the hanky panky dirty things like what our opposition leaders do in malaysia. people like anwar, a sodomizer, a womanizer etc.....you name it he has all the character.so it is not the same.

SUARAM, Let Altantuya Rest In Peace

Once a liar, always a liar. That’s what SUARAM is.
SUARAM is determined to continue lying even though all their lies on scorpene submarines and Altantuya’s murder have been compromised. It looks like SUARAM is in too deep to get out of their own lies that the only way to go is further down till it hits rock-bottom.
We understand SUARAM’s needs to continue lying as the General Election is approaching but at least, SUARAM should have thought of a better lie or known when to stop before it gets out of control.
We know for a fact that SUARAM is losing control over its own lies when the lies became easier and easier to be detected, even sillier. For example, SUARAM is reportedly saying that they have pictures of Altantuya in France in 2007, which Malaysiakini is more than happy to help publish and spread it on the net.
But here’s the freaky part of the lie: Altantuya was murdered in 2006.
How could SUARAM have missed this important fact - the heart of all their lies?
SUARAM may even be a little panic in their effort to convince the people as their credibility is torn to pieces.
A French police investigation has revealed that a person named Altantuya Shaariibuu has never entered France from 1999 to 2006 which confirms that she was never involved in the negotiation of the purchase of the submarines either as an escort to any VIPs or as an interpreter as alleged by SUARAM. As the former DCNS Sales Manager to Malaysia, Mr. Fredric Faura confirmed, the negotiations were done in English and there was no need for an interpreter to be present at any time.
Maybe SUARAM is trying to challenge the authority to take action on them, with the hope that it could be used against the government to convince the people that the government has some dirty things to cover-up.
But the Malaysian government isn’t a fool and so are the French authorities – the judge, police and immigration officers.
The French would have detected Altantuya’s arrival should she have entered the country before her death. Unless, she was there after her death as claimed by SUARAM/Malaysiakini, the French might have missed her as she must have bypassed the immigration. It could be that she had flown there invincibly and appeared out of nowhere at the square in French and have someone took pictures of her and passed the picture to SUARAM and Malaysiakini, somehow.
I guess, SUARAM just have to sort this story out and come back to us with a better lie.
Many are interested to hear more from SUARAM as it is quite amusing to see how the lies are twisted, turned and flipped and then flopped on SUARAM’s face.
But rationally, we think that SUARAM should stop making a fool of themselves. Not that we pity SUARAM, but isn’t it about time that we let Altantuya rest in peace? Should what SUARAM said is true that there were fishy business going on in the submarine deals, then let the French judiciary figure it out. There is no need for cheap publicity over something that is under investigation.
Unless, there was nothing fishy about the deal and SUARAM just need the cheap publicity to gain some political mileage for the desperate Oppositions.

tunku : suaram is financed by "anwar". that is why they are all out to tarnish the image of the prime minister. although there is no evidence at all to hook the prime minister, they keep coming up with fairy tales to poison the people's mind. beware of this group.

Lim Guan Eng’s twisted tongue

Lim Guan Eng does it again. He lied right to the faces of the rakyat.
Earlier this month, Lim Guan Eng was reported saying that Penang BN’s bluff over the free port promise. He demands the Penang BN to apologize for dangling the promise of restoring the island’s free port status saying that the PM had shot down the proposal.
Lim said that when asked about the island’s free port status, the PM had replied that, with already five free trade zones in Penang, the issue of Penang becoming a free port ‘does not arise’. Lim was also reported saying “Najib has said very clearly there is no free port.”
With that, the pro-oppositions blogs, webs and portals helped Lim spread the half-truth statement of the PM.
Looks like Lim failed to learn the lesson about records and documentations. Politicians nowadays, should know better than to lie outright because the truth can be accessed in just one click on the keyboard.
The PM’s reply on the matter has been recorded as follows: “Although free trade port status is no longer in existence, the Federal government is aware that Penang BN has proposed to come up with a new concept to spur economic development in Penang, especially in the tourism and service sectors. The Federal Government will give due consideration based on the feedback and support from the people, as well as the innovative proposal.”
Which part of the PM’s statement above that spelled ‘No to free port’?
The same was exposed by a Chinese current affairs website, Souminews.com as reported by the NST today. It said that DAP leaders were withholding the full text of Najib’s written reply in parliament and had, instead, ‘twisted the facts and distorted the truth’ about it.
Well, we need not say much about Lim Guan Eng and his twisted tongue as this is not the first time that he had been caught lying to our faces.
We can only ask, what is uglier than a lying Chief Minister? And how can we put our fate in the hands of a liar?

tunku : lim guan eng as usual a great liar will always remain one. he has been lying to the whole nation all these while and sadly many falls into his traps. he is the main reason too why tunku aziz left dap. the penangites should not put their fate in his hands anymore.show him the way out comes next general election.

Malaysiakini (DAP) Promotes Racism

It is amazing how Malaysia has come so far as a multiracial country. As an Islamic religious scholar from Turkey once said, “Malaysia is a country destined to be hell but somehow the leaders managed to make it a heaven.”
Human nature makes it hard for us to handle each other’s differences. Even as civilized, well-educated people, we do not accept differences naturally. Accepting differences is hard work and often, humans failed. The wars may be caused by something deeper like the oil resources but they were all triggered by differences.
But Malaysia managed to get over all differences with one little formula – the Article 153 in our constitution that states the rights of the Bumiputeras. Sure enough, the Article may not make some of us happy but being a little unhappy in a heavenly place, with the economy in your hands, is definitely better than being in a total hell.
The ‘Article’ is what saved Malaysia from going down the same road with Indonesia during the Reformasi movement. Because in Malaysia, although the Malays are unhappy with the Chinese’s control over the economy but they know that the Chinese too, are unhappy knowing that they can’t take it all.
Taking this ‘Article’ away would mean disaster. It is unfortunate for Malaysia that we must have irresponsible people who love to play with racial fire. One party calls the other racist and the other would retaliate calling the party ‘pendatang’.
Since there is no ending to this, the Prime Minister has tried with all his might to clear the air and firmly stated that the Chinese too, are loyal citizens and calling them ‘pendatang’ is not only inappropriate or downright wrong, but lunatics. With that, he referred to the Chinese who truly behave like loyal citizens who put their nationalism first, rather than race - the Chinese who do not question the constitution and the Royal Institutions of Malaysia.
But somehow, Malaysiakini is just too keen to pour petrol to the dying fire. Their readers too took the PM’s call sarcastically by questioning the PM’s effort in curbing racism. ‘Perkasa’ is again brought up as a symbol of Malays’ or UMNO’s racism saying that these are the lunatics that the PM referred to and that until Perkasa is abolished, they will not take the PM’s effort as genuine.
The question is what about Dong Zong or Dong Jiao Zong or Hindraf? Why are Chinese and Indians NGOs who strive for the rights of their races are okay, but Perkasa is not? Isn’t it almost like a crow calling a dove black? Now, who is the real racist here?
The true lunatics are the people who would rather live in hell rather than heaven by putting as much effort as they can to create a racial uproar. They do this by condemning, belittling, ridiculing and ignore every effort made by the government to promote unity.
They insist in being separated forever from other races and refuse to accept Perkasa’s fight for unity through One School for All system. They keep hammering the Article 153 as the ultimate barrier between them and what they thought would be a better heaven.
Everything is all about what they want, what would benefit them and others can go to hell. What they didn’t know is that we all live on the same ground, and one can’t go to hell without dragging the others along.
So, Malaysiakini should stop dragging people to hell and start learning to appreciate and value this heavenly place.

tunku : malaysiakini is the voice of dap in disguise. we know that dap is a racist party though the pretend not to be one. these are the people that will destroy the unity of malaysian . we must not allowed them to do.

Violence Is A Trend - PR Leader?

Writer truly respect a website, Suara PR for their 'advice' to Pakatan Rakyat. All these while, we have never seen pro-PR websites and blogs ever gave any 'advise' or even revealing mistakes of their leaders. All of them would keep on complimenting and defending whatever it is that was done by PR leaders in just about any forms including moral, law or even religion. In reality, in PR, whoever say something bad about leaders will be sacked. Perhaps because of that, no one really dare to be transparent as Suara PR.
Few of the latest articles in Suara PR that should be given attention would be the plan to bring down the government by violence like what included in Pakatan Rakyat's meeting minute.
Actually, such information is not shocking because we can predict the things that PR leaders talk about everyday. They knew that it is hard for them to win elections because they do not have the full support and trust that they needed.
That is why they need to tarnish the image of electoral system, raising hate to authorities and create disbelief on the court so that when they lose, they could put the blame on the EC, government and the court. It would then changed to a valid excuse to start riots to bring down the government through violence.
Quoting the blog,"That is why recently, Pakatan Rakyat leaders often give guarantee that if the transition of the government would happen in peace, but they never guarantee anything if things do not go their way. What is certain is that things would be peaceful if the transition happens." The meeting even mentioned that there might be bloodshed - if things turn desperate.
It seems like PR leaders are threatening us all that is we do not give them the win that they want in the coming GE, they would begin to cause chaos and bloodshed.
Once again, we would not be surprised if Anwar Ibrahim, Lim Kit Siang and Hadi Awang would sacrifice the life of their supporters to trigger chaos in this country.
Anwar is a man that would do just about anything but nothing that he does would shock us. Just imagine, even in regular situations he would do just about anything, just imagine how it would be if he is in a desperate need for power?
We also can never forget on how Lim Kit Siang triggered the May 13 tragedy, covered with hate on Malays, arrogance and raging evil instinct which runs in his blood.
The same thing goes to Hadi Awang who is fanatic and extreme. Those were the type of attitude which he had given to his supporters which led to the Memali and Sauk tragedy.
It is clear that bloodshed is not something new among PR leaders. And we are certain that they would not have any problem to repeat all that just so that they could get what they want. Their desire to take over Putrajaya is too strong that it cannot be stopped anymore.
For that, PR leaders see violence as the trend. And that the trend would help them to get to the peak of power. As a preparation towards that, they often gove signals to foreign medias that Malaysia is also heading over to such trend.
What writer could say here is that it would be stupid for Malaysians to destroy all of the things that we have and to sacrifice their lives just to follow PR leaders with their trend.
It is true, the fact that PR leaders often mention that rakyat have the power to determine the future of this country.
Thus, we need to remember that we have the power to push over leaders who would gamble our life just because they cannot wait to be in power. We have the power to not vote for them, hence, stopping them from destroying the country. Without our support, they would not be able to go anywhere...

tunku : anwar and co knew very well that it is quite impossible for them to topple the current government thru election, hence they will use all the dirty tactics to topple the government of the day. we encourage fair fight and that is thru normal process of democracy but not the anwar and co way of democracy.

Johor Sultan ticks off Nizar

NUSAJAYA: The Sultan of Johor says it is not necessary to publicise all that he has done for charity.
Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar said he has always used the proper channels to do things.
As such, he said, people like former Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohd Nizar Jamaluddin should not comment on things he does not know about.
The Sultan said this in his speech at the opening of the fifth Johor state assembly here.
Nizar, the Perak PAS commissioner, when commenting on the Sultan's bid for the WWW 1 car number plate, reportedly said the money could have been used to help the poor.
Saying he was angry with Nizar's comments, the Sultan said it would be better for Nizar to remain silent than to make them.
"Has he forgotten our Malay customs or is he indeed ignorant and shallow minded?
"He should not act smart if he has no knowledge of what is happening and make statements when he does not know the truth," the Sultan said

tunku : you heard that nizar, if you are stupid better to shut your stinking mouth up.nizar is always a "kurang ajar" type of person.he has no knowledge of malay customs.

KUALA LUMPUR: Former Perak mentri besar Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin said Tuesday he was willing to meet the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim to apologise and explain to the ruler his tweet about the bid for the WWW 1 vehicle registration number.
Mohammad Nizar said he would be sending an official letter seeking an audience with the Johor Sultan soon to enable him to explain the real situation, so as to end the controversy over the matter.
"After the Johor Sultan said that it would be good for me to apologise to the people of Johor, today I wish to state with sincerity that I want so much to apologise to the Sultan himself.
"My tweet was a personal and general opinion from an ordinary citizen without directing it to any quarters...this needs to be clarified to the Johor Sultan so that there will be no more speculation and misunderstanding on the matter," he told reporters at the parliament lobby, here, Tuesday.
Mohammad Nizar, who is also Perak PAS deputy commissioner is being investigated under the Sedition Act following his remark on Twitter on the Johor Sultan's succcesful bid for the vehicle plate number WWW 1 at RM520,000.
Following this, Mohammad Nizar tweeted that such a big sum of money should be used to help the Malays and the poor in Johor to buy houses.

tunku : what made this moron ex mb thinks that the Sultan of Johor will grant him an audience? after what he tweeted , he still trying to spin his words around . the Sultan will be wasting his precious time if he wish to see this moron. as the Sultan had said that he should apologize to the people of Johor.if he is dare enough make a public gathering and ask forgiveness to the people.

Yemen wants Dr M as adviser

KUALA LUMPUR: Yemeni Prime Minister Mohamed Salem Basendowah has invited former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, credited with spearheading Malaysia’s tremendous economic growth during his 22-year administration, to be Yemen’s special economic adviser.
Dr Mahathir visited Yemen, an country in the southern part of the Arabian peninsula, on Thursday to seek clarification over Salem’s invitation to be his adviser, the Malaysian embassy in Sana’a said in a statement.
Dr Mahathir attended a lunch hosted by Salem and a meeting which was also attended by Yemen’s former prime ministers, members from the ruling and opposition parties, senior officials as well as a World Bank official.
Salem referred to Malaysia’s achievements and transformation from an agro-based economy to a developed nation as the “Malaysian Miracle", the mission said.
"He looks forward to gaining Dr Mahathir's insight on how to assist in rebuilding Yemen," the statement noted.
Dr Mahathir, it said, took the opportunity to share Malaysia's experience and policies implemented during his tenure as prime minister.
"Dr Mahathir told the Yemeni prime minister that he felt honoured to be invited as Yemen's special economic adviser," the statement said.
Salem was appointed prime minister on Dec 11 last year and is spearheading efforts towards national reconciliation in his country.
Dr Mahathir also called on Yemen President Abdu Rabu Mansur Hadi during the visit. Bernama

tunku : the world reckons Tun Dr Mahathir but in malaysia there are people who thinks anwar is the best economist. that is why he is paid RM1 by the selangor government as the state's economic advisor and we have not seen any impact made by him. if anwar is great why there aren't any country or business organization engage him? even penang, kedah and kelantan do not want to engage him.not only yemen but few countries had seek advise from Tun Dr Mahathir.

DPM: Temporary PTPTN loan freeze to Unisel students is fair

GOMBAK: The decision to temporarily freeze PTPTN loans to Universiti Selangor (Unisel) students temporarily is fair, said Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on Thursday.
Muhyiddin said Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Khaled Nordin's decision to stall PTPTN loans at the Selangor government-owned university was to test if Selangor was capable of providing free education as claimed.
"The freeze is only temporary, it is not a cancellation. Maybe the minister (Khaled) wants to see if Selangor can give free education and do away with PTPTN, that's fair," he said at a press conference here on Thursday.
Muhyiddin, who is also Education Minister, added: "There is no such thing as 'free'. Someone has to pay for it."
Muhyiddin said that if it turned out that the students at Unisel really needed the loans, it would show that Pakatan Rakyat's vow to abolish the loans did not take into account the student's interest.
"I believe the minister is a smart person and he will reinstate the loans if he is satisfied that the students really need them," he said.

tunku : the freeze should not be temporary unless change in government. the pakatan government all these while said they can provide free education, now let them try first at unisel. if they cant do it then it's better for them to shut their big mouth.

WWW 1 bid: Nizar being investigated under Sedition Act over remarks about Johor Sultan

KUALA LUMPUR: Former Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin is being investigated under the Sedition Act for his alleged remarks over the Sultan of Johor's successful bid for the car registration number WWW 1.
It is learnt Johor police have formed a task force to investigate after five police reports were lodged in the state over the matter since Tuesday.
Former Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin
Johor police chief Deputy Commissioner Datuk Mohd Mokhtar Mohd Sharif confirmed that the task force has started investigations.
“We will investigate the matter transparently and professionally. Let us carry out our job without any undue pressure to ensure justice is done to both parties,” he said.
Nizar came under fire for criticising the Johor royalty's winning bid for the WWW 1 number plate on Twitter.
He posted that the RM520,000 spent on the bid could have been utilised for the poor has led to calls for a public apology to the royal family.
Johor Umno information chief Datuk Samsol Bari Jamali blasted Mohammad Nizar, saying he needed to check before making his comments.
He said Johor Rulers had always generously donated to Yayasan Iskandar and Yayasan Ibrahim to help the development of the state and improve the living condition of the people.
Meanwhile, Tunku Mahkota Johor Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim tweeted that the royal family does not take any money from the Government.
“The money allocated to my father and me every month as the Sultan and Tunku Mahkota is put into Yayasan Iskandar and Yayasan Ibrahim. The purpose of these foundations is to help the rakyat and to assist the state government,” he said.
He stressed that he had never taken a single sen from the Government, adding that “before you open your mouth, do your research.”
It was reported yesterday that the Sultan of Johor was the owner of the WWW 1 number plate, with a winning bid of RM520,000.
The Road Transport Department's website (www.jpj.gov.my) listed “D.Y.M.M. Sultan Ibrahim Johor” as having outbid 9,998 others for the coveted plate.

tunku : action should be taken against this loser nizar. he thinks he can just simply says what he likes to anyone. he has been lying, talking craps and utter seditious words a lot lately but till now no action is taken against him. that is why his wings is getting bigger and bigger.
so what if Sultan Johor bought the registration number of WWW 1 for RM520k. so what if the King bought the www 5 registration number for RM350k? they could have requested it from the government for free but no they paid for it. the money will go to the government and eventually to the people.why is this nizar and all the opposition losers making a fuss on it? no better thing to do or no better issue to play with? what about those toyota camry cars bought by nizar administration before with double digit numbers? how much did they spend on it USING state goverment's money.

No muzakarah if Nik Aziz still around.

Don’t set preconditions if you are sincere, Mustapa tells PAS

PETALING JAYA: PAS should not set any preconditions if it is sincere about having a muzakarah (discussion) with Umno, said Kelantan Umno chief Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed.
“We welcome Nik Aziz’s readiness to have a unity dialogue with Umno but why did he put conditions even before the meeting is set. If it is for the betterment of the ummah (community) and Malaysians, all the conditions are secondary.
“Both parties should discuss with an open heart,” he said in Kota Baru yesterday.
PAS spiritual leader Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat had said that Umno must first change its nationalist policy to one that was Islam-based and to also accept PAS allies, PKR and DAP as partners.
In Jitra, former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said the conditions set by Nik Aziz clearly showed that PAS was not sincere and not keen to have a dialogue with Umno.
“If they really wish to hold the talks with Umno, there is no need to impose conditions,” he added.
Dr Mahathir said it would be good for Umno and PAS to sit together to discuss ways to unite Muslims beyond political ideology.
Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin described PAS’ muzakarah invitation as a political game.
“PAS just wanted to flex its political muscle to show its power within Pakatan Rakyat.
“The message they want to send to the other Pakatan parties is that they can switch sides,” he said in his twitter account.
“Anwar (Opposition Leader) will panic and he certainly will be willing to allocate more seats to PAS,” he added.
Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal said PAS leaders should have a muzakarah among themselves first before attempting to have a dialogue with others.
“Each leader in PAS has differing opinions on whether to have talks with Umno.
"Thus they should have their own discussions first before attempting to have talks with us,” he told reporters in Marang, Terengganu.

tunku : i have said it earlier that umno is wasting their time when it comes to this muzakarah issue. everytime this issue is brought up it leads to nothing as pas through nik aziz will set all sorts of condition for the muzakarah to be held. this evil old man is against the unity of islam. to him the craze for power is more important than islam. may be umno can held muzakarah with pas when he is not around any longer.till then umno, don't bother to comment on this issue.

Atmosphere at Ambiga’s house back to normal

KUALA LUMPUR: The atmosphere in front of Datuk S. Ambiga’s house in Bukit Damansara here has returned to normal.
The burger stall and a group of hip gyrating ex-servicemen who performed the “butt exercise” in front of her house on Tuesday are gone and rumoured plans by a group to set up “pasar malam” stalls did not materialise.
The presence of Kuala Lumpur City Hall officers and police patrol cars may have deterred anyone from doing so.
A check at 4.30pm saw City Hall officers in two vehicles parked near Ambiga’s home, with police patrol cars making their rounds every 10 minutes.
Although Ambiga, who is Bersih co-chairperson, was not at home, several of her bodyguards were seen outside the porch entrance.
When approached, a City Hall officer at the scene said they were merely making their rounds to ensure that everything was fine.
“So far, everything has been normal since morning,” the officer said.
He said he was unaware of any plans to set up stalls there yesterday, although the Malaysia Small and Medium Entrepreneurs Alliance had threatened to do so on May 24 in retaliation to Ambiga organising the Bersih 3.0 rally on April 28, which they claimed had affected their business.
Brickfields OCPD ACP Wan Abdul Bari Wan Abdul Khalid said the police were merely on routine patrol in the area.

tunku :now she knows what others feels when she organize illegal gatherings in the city. this is just few people in front of her house and she's feeling threaten and uneasy. she said that these people are bullies. what about you ambiga, when you organize illegal gatherings in the city and you put others life at stake? did you ever think about it? i hope there will be people gathering in front of her house on daily basis.

Tunku Aziz quits DAP

PETALING JAYA: Senator Tunku Abdul Aziz Tunku Ibrahim (pic)has announced his resignation from the DAP, citing “irreconcilable differences” with the party leadership.
His resignation comes days after his criticism of the recent Bersih 3.0 rally and the announcement that his senatorship, which ends on May 31, would not be renewed.
During an interview aired on NTV7 last night, the party vice-chairman said he would advise the DAP of his resignation “within the next few minutes”.
“I think the time has come for me to take a hard, very serious look at my own position within the party. Given the very wide differences now, which are irreconcilable, there is no alternative but for me to seek to withdraw, with some dignity left.
“I will therefore resign my membership from DAP and I will be advising the party within the next few minutes,” he said.
A man of strong principles, Tunku Aziz is among the few Malays who joined the Chinese-dominated party and was immediately made a DAP vice-chairman. In 2009, he was nominated as a senator for Penang.
Tunku Aziz said he had already been warned by friends and colleagues to be prepared to be sacked.
“But so far, there has been no indication from the top leadership that this would be my fate,” he said during the hour-long Chat Time segment.
He stressed that he had always supported the struggle of Bersih for clean and fair elections but merely opposed its decision to go ahead with the plan to sit in at Dataran Merdeka as it was “clearly against the law.”
“I found it extremely difficult to support anyone breaking the law,” he said adding that the party leadership had, however, claimed that he was against Bersih.
Asked about allegations that he was a “traitor to the party”, Tunku Aziz said people were entitled to their opinions.
“But this seems to be a standard script for people who differ from their views,” he said.
Tunku Aziz said he was sure that his tenure as senator had not been renewed as a direct result of his statements against the Bersih rally last month.
He said he believed that as a member of a democratic party, he had the right to differ.
Holding up party adviser Lim Kit Siang's book, The Right To Differ, he said he had believed the party was one that could accept dissent.
On the Barisan Nasional Government, Tunku Aziz said he felt they were on the right track.
“They have put in place transformation programmes which will bring about the sort of change that we have been yearning for and fighting for,” he said, adding that the Pakatan Rakyat coalition, on the other hand, did not have any experience.
On his plans for the future, Tunku Aziz said he did not have any plan yet.
“I think I am still in the position to make some contributions to the country. I hope in the next few years of my life I will be able to do just that.”
DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng said he would respond to Tunku Aziz's resignation today.
At 11.30pm last night, Kit Siang responded on Twitter: “Just saw recorded (video of) Tunku's TV interview as I was taking a flight. Heart-broken @ ending of Tunku's stint in DAP. TQ 4 efforts 4 yrs n best wishes”.

tunku : tunku aziz made biggest mistake when he joined dap. he should have stayed as an ngo and fight what he believes in to make the country better. dap is not a democratic and clean party as they claim to be.they are the worst dictator. it's all about family in dap. hope tunku aziz will join some ngo soon.

Hudud not part of common framework, Pakatan reiterates

PETALING JAYA: Pakatan Rakyat has reiterated that the implementation of hudud is not part of its common framework, and that any decision made would be based on a consensus between PKR, PAS and DAP.
PKR leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said they were still bound by the Federal Constitution, their Buku Jingga and the joint statement made last September.
The relationship between the three parties, he said was still solid although some were trying to portray it as otherwise.
"Our main focus is still on the economy. The Pakatan spirit and cooperation are still strong and not affected even in the slightest.
"All three parties are with Pakatan now and after the general election," he said after the Pakatan leadership council meeting here Monday.
Anwar also denounced claims that Pakatan would throw out the Federal Constitution should they take over and stressed that guarantees under the Federal Constitution would be maintained.
He was asked to comment on the recent reports on hudud which had raised questions to Pakatan's common stand on the matter.
PAS president Datuk Seri Hadi Awang said they stood by the joint statement last September, the Buku Jingga and are firm on Pakatan's common policy.
"Islam and Malays have a right but at the same time we respect the difference in ideology in Pakatan. If we need to discuss anything, we can do it internally and not through the media," he said.
DAP leader Lim Kit Siang said Pakatan was committed to the spirit of the Federal Constitution which included upholding Islam as the official religion in the country while allowing other religions to practise freely.
"Hudud is not in Pakatan's common policy framework.
"We respect PAS views on hudud but our position is very clear that it is not in accordance with the Federal Constitution," he said, adding that any changes would be made following a consensus.

tunku : now suddenly hadi saying they stood by the joint statement last september and that means no hudud, so why lying and confusing people?

Hudud drama

PAS Youth Slams Karpal For Disputing PAS President's Opinion On Hudud

KUALA LUMPUR, May 13 (Bernama) -- The national PAS Youth wing today lashed out at DAP chairman Karpal Singh for criticising PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang on the issue of implementing 'hudud' law if the opposition pact were to rule the country.
The wing's vice-head, Dr Raja Ahmad Al Hiss claimed that the move by Karpal Singh when he stated his opinion publicly on Abdul Hadi, who is the leader of an Islamic political party in the country, was most inappropriate.
"As PAS president and a top leader of the PR (opposition pact), Abdul Hadi had the right to issue any statement on whatever policy championed by PAS," he said in a statement, here Sunday.
Raja Ahmad said PAS had always respected the views and opinions of the DAP leaders as well as the principles of the party's cause, and hoped Karpal Singh would do likewise with regard to PAS principles.

tunku : whenever there is election coming we will hear abouth this hudud issue again and again played by dap and pas. pas will say that they will implement it and dap say NO and pkr will say yes or no depending on the audience. inside their sacred book "buku jingga" which is endorsed by all there is clearly stated no Islamic state or hudud. so who is trying to fool the people here?

Selangor DAP to quiz rep over ‘comedy of errors’ letter

SHAH ALAM: Selangor DAP will meet Damansara Utama assemblyman Dr Cheah Wing Yin to determine the accuracy of his letter, where he allegedly described Pakatan Rakyat's rule in Selangor as a comedy of errors.
“The Selangor state committee will be meeting Dr Cheah very soon to determine the veracity of the letter and discuss other related issues,” Selangor DAP chairman Teresa Kok said here.
Kok claimed the letter was carried by The Star yesterday without the permission and confirmation of Dr Cheah and the DAP leadership.
The 12-page letter that was made available to The Star was addressed to DAP advisers Dr Chen Man Hin and Lim Kit Siang, national chairman Karpal Singh and party secretary-general Lim Guan Eng.
The contents of the letter included a string of complaints against the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) and a certain powerful MP who apparently had the final say.
It was also alleged, in the letter, that the city councillors from the DAP had failed to respond to complaints and had not attended council meetings to address problems of his or her constituents.
However, Kok denied the allegations and offered her support to the MBPJ councillors.
In a related development, Kuala Kubu Baru assemblyman Wong Koon Mun said the letter, purportedly written by Dr Cheah, was a tell-all of Pakatan Rakyat's incompetence.
“Pakatan is being hypocritical. It is doing exactly what it criticised Barisan Nasional of.
“It has apparently created dissatisfaction among its own ranks,” Wong said in a statement yesterday.
“It is apparent through this letter that many of Selangor's Pakatan-aligned councillors are inept and irresponsible, and the fact that some are being reappointed is blatant proof of cronyism and nepotism.”
On another matter, Beliawanis MCA national chief Tee Hooi Ling said PAS did not care about the anxieties of non-Muslims especially the women when insisting on implementing the hudud law.
Tee claimed in a statement that women would be the first to be subjugated as their rights would be diminished, despite PAS' claim to promote a welfare state.

tunku : it is so obvious that pakatan's rules in selangor and in other states too as comedy of errors. there are corruption, nepotism and all the "ism' and "tion" you can name for. dr cheah is wasting his time with the 12 pages letter as they will be swept under the carpet as soon as it gets to the top leaders.

DAP vice-chairman Tunku Abdul Aziz confirms being dropped as senator

KUALA LUMPUR: DAP vice-president Tunku Abdul Aziz Tunku Ibrahim has confirmed that his term as senator will not be renewed.
"Yes, it's true, it is just a small sacrifice" he told reporters at the Dewan Negara here Wednesday, during a farewell gathering for senators whose term will be expiring.
Tunku Abdul Aziz was made a senator in 2009 and his term expires on May 30.
Earlier, sources said the DAP vice-president's senatorship was unlikely to be renewed.
The same fate also awaits current PKR state election director Mustafa Kamal Mohd Yusoff.
Both men were nominated for the senatorship by the state government.
Tunku Abdul Aziz made headlines when he objected to the Bersih 3.0 rally in Kuala Lumpur on April 28 although DAP had openly supported the gathering.
Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng is expected to table a motion at the state assembly sitting today to nominate academician Ariffin Omar and former Malaysian Trades Union Congress (MTUC) chief Syed Shahir Syed Mohamud to replace the duo.

tunku : dap stands for democratic action party but they don't practice democracy. they say something else, they will act the other way round. shame on this people.in opposition party, you can't speak against the party or its leaders, once you do that, your days are numbered.

Pit bull kills jogger .

SUBANG JAYA: A man who just turned 74 a few days ago was killed by a pit bull while jogging in his housing area.
Yip Sun Wah died at the scene after the dog bit him on the neck and almost tore off his left ear in the 9.50am incident in Jalan SS19/5B, about 1km from Yip's house here.
The dog ran out of its owner's house and attacked Yip for almost four minutes before returning home.
A car salesman, who only wanted to be identified as Addy, 44, said he was on his way to meet a customer when he saw Yip being attacked by the dog.
Deadly bite: A family member mourning over Yip’s body in front of a house in SS19, Subang Jaya yesterday.
He said he tried to hit the dog with his umbrella but it was too aggressive and only stopped attacking after Yip was motionless.
It is learnt that the owner had just got the animal about three months ago after her house was robbed.
Subang Jaya OCPD ACP Yahaya Ramli said the 25-year-old female accountant had bought the animal from a private kennel. He said she has a licence to keep the dog.
“We have released her after recording her statement,” he added.
ACP Yahaya also said the dog had escaped from the house through the rubbish compartment door which was not properly secured.
The victim's body was sent to the University Malaya Medical Centre while the dog is now with the Shah Alam Municipal Council.
ACP Yahaya said the animal would be tested to ascertain if it has any disease.
The victim's eldest son Hon Mun, 51, said he was informed of the incident by an eyewitness who called him using his father's mobile phone.
“I rushed to the scene immediately but my father was already dead,” he said, adding the victim had been jogging in the area for the past 20 years.
The case is being investigated under Section 304(a) of the Penal Code for causing death by negligence which carries a maximum two years' jail sentence or a fine or both.
Meanwhile, Subang Jaya Municipal Council director Dr Roslan Mohamed Hussin said it had started checking residential areas in the township for breeds that were said to be aggressive and dangerous.
“Seven dog breeds, namely Akita, Neapolitan Mastiff, American Bulldog, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasileiro, Japanesa Tosa and American Pit Bull are predisposed to aggressive or dangerous behaviour,” he said.
The council is also enforcing a directive from the Selangor Veterinary Department to ban these “unmanageable or possibly dangerous” breeds.

tunku : i think it is the time where the authority should make tough act against dog's owner. this incident happened many times , some are reported and some are not. the dog owner should not let their dog out of their compound and if it is out it must be tied and guided or walked by the owner. the owner too must ensure that they bring plastic/waste bag to dispose their dog's shit so that the neighbourhood is clean. we can see dog's owner walking their dog in the park and the dog piss and shit as it like without thinking of other people especially the muslims. the authority must put an end to all these and make sure all the dogs have license and follow rules and regulation or confiscate their dogs.

Tenaganita Laments On Absence Of Laws To Protect Migrant Workers In Malaysia

JAKARTA, May 7 (Bernama) -- Tenaganita executive director Irene Fernandez has made a statement criticising the Malaysian government and Malaysian employers in an interview with an Indonesian English daily on the issue of migrant workers in Malaysia.
In the question-and-answer article published Monday by The Jakarta Post, she had among other things lamented on the absence of laws to protect migrant workers in Malaysia.
"Migrant workers have been objects of exploitation, physical abuse, violence and rape in line with the emergence of care-giving industries and the privatisation of health care, which are part of the neo-liberal capitalism which has damaged Malaysia's economic system and raised inequalities among migrant workers, mostly women," she said.
The Indonesian government, she said, should not resume sending workers to Malaysia until the government and employers change their mindsets and make a particular law to protect them and their rights.
Fernandez said many employers have breached the immigration law in employing undocumented workers.
"In 2011, we recorded more than 1,500 cases befalling undocumented workers and 500 cases of employers' violations of the immigration law. Most undocumented workers were deported after serving their jail sentence while most employers were cleared of charges," she said.
Fernandez said labour and child trafficking as well as trade of babies has been rampant in the country over the past three years and, in Sarawak, women migrant workers who were victims of human trafficking were raped and forced to give birth.
She said Indonesian migrant workers, especially domestic helpers and gardeners, would continue to face troubles with their employers and the authorities because, among other things, the revised labour agreement between Indonesia and Malaysia does not identify their rights, the labour permit is still held by employers and not by the government, and the minimum wage is not set for new workers.
"I appreciate the Indonesian government's policy not to resume the sending of workers until the bilateral agreement spells out workers' rights and the recruitment system is revised to put workers and their employers in an equal position," she said.
The are about two million migrant workers from Indonesia who work mostly as domestic maids and labourers in the agricultural sector.

tunku : i think this old lady has slightest love for malaysia. if she is truly malaysian she will not condemn malaysia in other country. this show this leech actual character.you can air your view but to the right channel and in your country not going to foreign media in foreign country. i don't know if there is an act to tak action against her but i think government should really think about doing it and charge this leech for condemning her own country outside malaysia. i have little respect for leeches like her. her citizenship should be revoked. by the way ask indonesian maid, malaysia is like heaven to them or else there won't be hundred of thousands of them in malaysia.

Bersih 3.0 organisers need to realise they are at fault too, says DAP vice-chairman

PETALING JAYA: DAP vice-chairman Tunku Abdul Aziz Tunku Ibrahim who had spoken out against Bersih 3.0 has again expressed his unhappiness that the rally was hijacked by the Opposition.
“Bersih 3.0 organisers are not a group of angels descended from heaven who are completely blameless”, he was quoted as saying by The Mole news portal yesterday.
He said they should take a look at themselves first before pointing fingers at the police for last Saturday's violence.

“Bersih organisers should accept that there are substantial elements within the rally whose intentions were to create havoc and cause chaos as long as it was possible.
“Instead of shifting all the blame to the police, they need to realise that they are at fault, too. Besides, they are not angels descended from heaven who are completely blameless,” he said.
Tunku Aziz, who was Transparency International Malaysia's founding president, said he did not deny there were people who took part in Bersih 3.0 who genuinely sought electoral reforms and were expecting a peaceful rally. “But, as evident, there were people who thought differently”.
“Bersih 3.0 lost control of their agenda because their agenda was hijacked,” he said.
He said Bersih leaders must answer this question: Who allowed the rally to be hijacked by people with a political agenda?
Tunku Aziz also said he found it totally absurd and unfair for Bersih leaders and politicians to solely blame the police for the violence that took place among protesters and the police.
“The Bersih leaders should have realised that this was how it was going to end.”
“But since it has ended in violence, it is always the police who will be blamed.”
He said he was not surprised with the alleged reports of police brutality, as “police bashing is a feature in almost all demonstrations all over the world”.
Saying he was not giving any excuse for the alleged brutality, Tunku Aziz said “the issue of police brutality will be highlighted by some people just to put the authorities in a bad light”.

tunku : how come dap is not listening to its vice chairman advice? is he the only person who can think rationally in dap? at least one wise man in the opposition group.i wonder what his future will be in dap now.

Mum’s Mother’s Day plea: Come home, Azmin Ali

KUALA LUMPUR: Che Tom Yahaya, 78, said her only wish for Mother's Day is for her son to repent and return to the family.
“He has not come to see me for months even though I have been ill and hospitalised several times,” said Che Tom about her son, PKR deputy president Azmin Ali, during a press conference at her home here on Friday.
Feeling neglected: Che Tom is hoping to reunite with her son.
She said the time had come for her to speak up about her son.
“People are saying that I am not a good mother and that I did not raise him well, but I know I raised all my children well,” she said referring to reports about Azmin's involvement in the Bersih 3.0 rally and alleged sexual misconduct.
Che Tom said the last time she saw her son was during Hari Raya last year when Azmin had a fight with his sister, businesswoman Ummi Hafilda.
“He became angry when he saw his sister, and started calling her all sorts of names.
“He even told his children not to eat anything at my house,” she said, adding that several attempts by the family to contact Azmin after the incident were futile.
“He is still my son.
“If he comes to his senses and returns to the family, I will accept him,” said the tearful mother of six.

tunku : i can only pray to Allah that azmin will regret his action against his mother as no matter how he change from now on to be a saint he will never enter paradise if he did not apologize to his mother.leave all you wrong activities, leave your evil boss and come back to the family and seek forgiveness from your mother.

"Thy Lord hath decreed that ye worship none but Him, and that ye be kind to parents. Whether one or both of them attain old age in thy life, say not to them a word of contempt, nor repel them, but address them in terms of honor. And out of kindness, lower to them the wing of humility, and say: ‘My Lord! bestow on them Thy Mercy even as they cherished me in childhood' "(17:23-24).

A man came to the Prophet and said, ‘O Messenger of God! Who among the people is the most worthy of my good companionship? The Prophet said: Your mother. The man said, ‘Then who?' The Prophet said: Then your mother. The man further asked, ‘Then who?' The Prophet said: Then your mother. The man asked again, ‘Then who?' The Prophet said: Then your father. (Bukhari, Muslim).

Members of panel to probe rally allegations to be known next week, says Hisham

KOTA BARU: The names of the independent panel to probe allegations of violence during the Bersih 3.0 rally will be known next week, said Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein.
He said the panel will investigate all claims of violence to ensure that everyone's right is protected and justice will prevail.
"There have been many baseless allegations of violence especially towards the police and we want to find out the truth.
"To those who had protested in the rally, we will not compromised.
"We will take action against those who had breached the country's law,” he told reporters at the launch of Rural Transformation Centre (RTC) here.
Hishammuddin said it was important for the public to know the real situation during the rally.
"We have identified those involved and we are working with the Attorney-General," he said, adding that investigations are still ongoing.

tunku : i support the panel set up to investigate the violence of bersih 3 only involving the protestors not the police. the police had done good job and the violence was created by the protestors not the police. first of all it was an illegal protest/gathering, so why make hassle for the police? because of these morons protestors the government has to bear the cost.is this justice?

Independent panel to probe assault claims against journalists, says Hisham

PUTRAJAYA: An independent panel will be set up to investigate claims of police brutality against journalists covering Bersih 3.0, said Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.
His ministry made the decision after the Cabinet indicated that it was agreeable to the establishment of such a panel.
“At the post-Cabinet meeting, it was unanimously agreed that such a panel should be formed to get to the bottom of the allegations, which police have started investigating,” Hishammuddin said.
We have no qualms about doing that (forming the panel), and the IGP wants it to be transparent, even if it involves the police. - Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein
On who would be in the panel, he said a few names had been mentioned and would be announced in due course.
Hishammuddin expressed regret that some journalists were allegedly treated badly.
“We have no qualms about doing that (forming the panel), and the IGP (Tan Sri Ismail Omar) wants it to be transparent, even if it involves the police,” he said.
Hishammuddin added that the issue must be looked at in the right context.
“I have to remind you that the worst case (of violence) involved a journalist, Mohamad Azri (Salleh) from Al-Hijrah (TV), who was set upon while trying to save a police (officer).
“It was not the police who set on him, so please be fair in that context,” he after the post-Cabinet meeting here yesterday.
Hishammuddin said the Cabinet had no issue with calls for a separate independent panel to look into claims of police misconduct in dealing with demonstrators, and urged Suhakam, the Bar Council and the public to submit whatever evidence they had to his ministry to facilitate investigations.
Hishammuddin noted that the Cabinet had ordered the police and the Attorney-General to expedite investigations and charge those responsible for turning the rally into a riot.
He said his ministry and the police would compile all their footage from April 14 to 28, to give the public a full picture of the security situation that the police had to manage over that two weeks.
He said the footage included that of PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu allegedly leading some 3,000 people in an attempt to occupy Dataran Merdeka at around 2am on April 28.
Separately, Ismail said the police were investigating reports by journalists that they were roughed up and intimated by policemen during the rally.
“We understand that you were doing your duty during the rally and assure you that anyone who was victimised will get justice,” he said at Bukit Aman yesterday.

tunku : what about those police who were beaten up ? you should have an independent panel to investigate for the assaults against them.they are human too not machines.

Nik Aziz justified Bersih 3 violence.

Nik Aziz Feels No Guilt At All In Sponsoring Rally Participants

KOTA BAHARU, May 1 (Bernama) -- PAS spiritual leader Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat said he felt no guilt at all in sponsoring a number of party supporters to participate in last Saturday's illegal rally in the federal capital which turned riotous.
The rally, which took place around Dataran Merdeka, was organised by several non-governmental organisations and supported by opposition parties.
In fact, the Kelantan Menteri Besar said, he encouraged people to take part in the rally which he regarded as a must to demonstrate their feelings against something they were dissatisfied with.
"If there are two or three more such rallies, I am prepared to sponsor party supporters who wish to participate," he told reporters after speaking and presenting awards for excellence to students sponsored by the Kelantan Islamic Foundation at Pusat Tarbiyah Islamiah Kelantan (PUTIK), here, today.
Also present were state Islamic Development, Education and Islamic Propagation Committee chairman Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah and state assembly Speaker Datuk Mohd Nasiruddin Daud.
Two days ago, Nik Aziz who is also Kelantan PAS commissioner, admitted to having sponsored with his own money, some PAS supporters from his area to attend last Saturday's rally in Kuala Lumpur.
Asked whether he regretted the violence that took place during the rally which had caused injuries to several people, Niik Aziz said it happened because the participants were hampered by the authorities during the demonstration.

tunku : so the senile old man had justified the violence happened on 28th april because according to him police had "hampered" them.is this the teaching of ISLAM ? is the the way for the muslims ? this senile old man is a disgrace for the muslims

Umno the provocative agent in Bersih 3.0

Let see the video , it shows clearly who the culprit was.

Rally Bersih 3.0 Organisers Breached Peaceful Assembly Act 2011

KUALA LUMPUR, April 29 (Bernama) -- Unruly acts, breaching the police barricade and making children a party to an opposition-backed rally, reflect a failure on the part of its organisers to abide by the Peaceful Assembly Act 2011.
The Act states that a person below age 21 cannot be an organiser while children under 15 are not allowed to participate in a rally of such nature.
Those found guilty under the Act are liable to a fine of up to RM20,000.
Political observer Che Hamdan Mohamed Razali, from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Dungun campus, Terengganu said, today's rally organisers led by Datuk S. Ambiga and backed by Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang and DAP advisor Lim Kit Siang were liable under the law.
"Ambiga and the other opposition leaders succeeded in drawing a crowd but she failed to control them," he said when contacted by Bernama.
Che Hamdan, who is also political science lecturer at the campus, said bringing children to the rally was akin to indirectly telling them that it was all right to go against the government in such manner. What we worry about is that it might potentially become a culture to these children in the future," he said.
The rally did not focus on 'clean and fair elections' alone; Other issues, among them, Lynas, National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN), Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT), as well as the Felda Global Ventures Holdings (FGVH) listing in the Malaysian stock market were dragged in, as well.
Che Hamdan said, if the organisers had only focused on election issues, there would not have been as many participants, probably a mere 8,000.
"That's why, the opposition exploited issues such as Lynas, LGBT, PTPTN and the FGVH, to gain support. For example, they used the PTPTN issue to draw support from the youth.
"This is their strategy to attract a large crowd," he said.
Experts have affirmed that the Lynas Corporation's rare earth processing plant in Gebeng, Kuantan, Pahang was safe, barring non-compliance of the regulations by Lynas. Nevertheless, the Malaysia Science Academy will organise a dialogue programme on Lynas next month, for those who still do not understand or insist on further explanation on the issue.
As for LGBT, Che Hamdan said Malaysia, as an Islamic country, did not condone such practices which were against the teachings of Islam.
Meanwhile, the rally had failed to achieve its 100,000 participation target.
Police said the 20,000 participants at the rally was a small number as compared to the city's population of 1.8 million.

tunku : well the act is breached but who cares.do malaysian think that hishamuddin will be dare enough to take action against the organizers ? i doubt it.

The Right To Gather Versus The Right To Freedom?

KUALA LUMPUR, April 27 (Bernama) -- Many people with business in the city tomorrow have rescheduled their activities.
Tuition centres, private colleges, clinics and business premises have postponed their routine activities scheduled for tomorrow, not wanting to take the risk of having to put up with a gathering planned for Dataran Merdeka despite the square being declared out of bounds by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL).
When a large gathering is held in an open area and orchestrated by political parties, there is no guarantee against damage to public property or the occurrence of mishaps.
Many people are asking how the Peaceful Assembly Act can safeguard the right to freedom of the public which they feel can be jeopardised by the gathering.
Is the non-governmental organisation backed by the opposition bent on testing the "bite" of the Peaceful Assembly Act by way of the gathering? The general public wants to know whether police powers to maintain public order have become restricted.

tunku : majority of the people are against street rallies as it is not good for everyone but only for the popularity of the minority group. peaceful assembly act should not be the license for them to assemble when or where ever they wish. it should have a clear guideline for a peaceful assemble with term and procedures.the police should not be too lenient like the bersih 2.0. why should police provide food for them?

Nallakaruppan Hands Over Video Tape Containing Evidence In Anwar Suit

KUALA LUMPUR, April 23 (Bernama) -- Malaysian United Indian Party president Senator Datuk S. Nallakaruppan has handed over a video tape to his lawyer, claiming it contains evidence pertaining to a RM100-million libel suit filed by Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim against him.
He handed over the tape to Datuk Seri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah about 2pm, at the Jalan Duta Court Complex here Monday.
"I have given the video tape to my lawyer as evidence in the libel suit. Whatever evidence I have, I have given it to my lawyer. I want them to open the video in court. Let the court decide," he said.
Nallakaruppan, however, refused to reveal the contents of the video tape, saying it was up to the court to decide on the matter.
He also maintained his stand that Anwar was a bisexual in nature. "I stand firm on my facts, I will not run away, I already gave the evidence to my lawyer. I am waiting to tell the truth in court," he said, adding that he wanted the case to be heard in court soon.

tunku : where is anwar hiding? why he did not file in the libel suit against nalla till now. Nalla is more advance than him when he handed over the "video" to his lawyer. let us wait for the excuses from anwar and let us see the love of his wife now. the video is said to have contents of shamsidar's affair with anwar.

Bersih Rally Not Security Threat - Hishammuddin

KUALA LUMPUR, April 22 (Bernama) -- The home ministry will allow next week's Bersih rally and similar peaceful gatherings as they do not jeopardise national security.
The minister, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein, said the ministry's initial monitoring indicated that the Bersih assembly did not require excessive presence of the police, such as Federal Reserve Unit (FRU), as the rally was not a security threat.
"Nevertheless, the FRU and other police units will always be ready," he told reporters at a gathering with Sembrong-born people in Bukit Kiara here Sunday.
On Kuala Lumpur City Hall's (DBKL) decision not to allow the gathering to be held at Merdeka Square, Hishammuddin said the people should look at the rationale of the decision.

tunku : why should kdn provides security to those people wanting to organize illegal gathering? Kdn should make sure this group given permit and only allows it if its done in a stadium or in their own premises.

Pakatan wants to delay Selangor polls

KUALA LUMPUR: The Pakatan Rakyat Council has recommended for Selangor not to participate in the coming general election, should the Election Commission (EC) fail to clean up the state's electoral roll.
Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the matter had been relayed to Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim and the recommendation was made because of alleged massive movement of voters happening in Selangor.
Pakatan claims that as of December 2011, there were an additional 500,000 voters in Selangor, a figure which constituted 35% of the total number of voters.
"Until and unless the electoral roll in Selangor undergoes a total clean-up, the state should not take part in the election if it is called any time soon," he said after chairing the council meeting here Wednesday.
On whether the same recommendation was made to the other Pakatan-held states of Penang, Kedah and Kelantan, Anwar said the matter had not been decided , adding the coalition was "more concerned with the state of affairs in Selangor".

tunku: cowards....that's the exact word for anwar and pakatan. they know that selangor in danger so they try to delay but at the same time they said they have support from the people, you have support why you worry? be brave enough, don't chicken out.why only concern in selangor, what about other states? you mean to say that kedah, penang and kelantan having clean electoral roll? if the electoral roll is not clean how had you won in the previous elections? COWARDS.

SHAH ALAM: Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim is ready to meet the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah, to clarify allegations that Opposition leaders ridiculed Malay Rulers at the King's installation last Wednesday.

"This should not be raised at a time when the public is rejoicing at the King's installation.
"Therefore, if necessary, I am offering myself to explain to His Majesty what had transpired ," he added. - Bernama

tunku : why should khalid ibrahim clarifies issue to the King? he was not involved in that incident.what a drama played by khalid ibrahim.by right those involved should seek an audience with Tuanku and clarifies issue and sue the person who brought up this issue if he had lied.this guy is really a joker.

Opposition MPs Refuse To Offer Explanation On Alleged Insult Against Malay Rulers

KUALA LUMPUR, April 16 (Bernama) -- Opposition Members of Parliament (MPs) alleged to have mocked and ridiculed the Malay rulers during the installation ceremony of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah at Istana Negara on April 11, refused to offer any explanation or make any effort to deny the allegation.
Instead, Azmin Ali and Tian Chua of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) and Khalid Samad of PAS questioned the credibility of Dr Rahman Kadir, a medical officer who wrote about the alleged incident in his social web page.
Azmin, who is also PKR deputy president, also held Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN) responsible for sensationalising the issue.
"From the feedback I received, it's clearly a propaganda of Umno and BN. Who is this doctor? How can a medical officer sit in the Balairong Seri of the Istana Negara?" he told reporters at the Parliament lobby here Monday.
Meanwhile, Tian Chua also rejected the proposal to set up a Royal Commission to investigate the incident, saying that Dr Rahman did not have any solid evidence and witness in connection with the alleged incident.

tunku : opposition leaders are known to be traitors to the Rulers and nation. they do what they want without having the respect for the country and the Rulers. if dr rahman is lying why don't these jokers like tian chua, azmin and khalid samad are not suing him? sue him for defamation.if you keep denying like this with your stupid theories that means you are twisting the facts.if you really didn't say those words , sue him asap.why can't a doctor be at the balairong seri? is it wrong? under what law or regulation?

Anwar Wants PSC Be Set Up To Study Bill To Replace ISA

KUALA LUMPUR, April 16 (Bernama) -- Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim called for a parliamentary select committee be set up to review the Security Offences (Special Measures) Bill 2012 to replace the Internal Security Act (ISA) 1960 as he feels there are still injustices against human rights in the new Bill.
He said although he welcomed the government's move to repeal the ISA, he found some provisions in the Bill to be tougher than the ISA.
"These include the new condition of having to refer to the court if the police want to rearrest an individual," he told reporters at the parliament lobby, here, Monday.
The Security Offences (Special Measures) Bill 2012 to replace te ISA was tabled in the Dewan Rakyat for the second reading by Prme Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
The Bill states, among others, that no person shall be arrested and detained under this section solely for his political belief or political activity.

tunku: what else do they want? when the government wants to abolish ISA, they feel its to their disadvantage as they can't accuse the government and use that issue any longer. so they try to find ways to discredit the government's move. what else to this moron wants, government had assured that no person shall be arrested and detained under this section solely for his political belief or political activity.that should be a very good move.do these people want to safeguard the right of potential terrorist?

The organisers of the rally calling for immediate reforms of election rules have named Merdeka Square as the venue of the rally on April 28

tunku : i don't undertstand why hisham and his ministry is so soft when comes to the opposition. just give the ultimatum, you do whatever you want to do in the stadium.period. no marching on the streets or merdeka square etc. do in every state, every district you wants to but do it in the stadium.the police should not be liable and be responsible for the security matters , the organizers should be held responsible for everything.if they don't follow these rules, then take stern action on them.no mercy.

Parents Encouraged To Register Children For Child ID Kit

JOHOR BAHARU, April 6 (Bernama) -- Parents are encouraged to register their children for the Child ID Kit issued by the police in collaboration with RHB Banking Group, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar said. The kit contains information such as pictures, fingerprints and birthmarks of children which could facilitate police investigations in the event a child goes missing.
"We won't force parents to register for this kit. The registration is free," he said.
"Previously, we have been utilising the NUR Alert in tracing missing children; the use of this kit will further add value to the effort to trace the victims," he told reporters after chairing the Pan-Malaysia CID Chiefs Meeting, here today.
Ismail said parents who are interested to obtain the kit could do so by bringing their children to register at RHB counters during the nationwide safety campaign.
He added that the kit would be kept by parents or guardians and only to be handed over to police when needed.
Ismail also said that police planned to expand the use of face recognition system known as "Bio Face" to facilitate the move to track down criminals.
"The face and fingerprint recognition device would be installed in public places," he said.

tunku : why don't the government issue identity card to children below 12 years old? this will help police a lot and easier for the parents to carry them around instead of the birth cert.when they turn 12, they can make a new identity card.
