Nallakaruppan Hands Over Video Tape Containing Evidence In Anwar Suit

KUALA LUMPUR, April 23 (Bernama) -- Malaysian United Indian Party president Senator Datuk S. Nallakaruppan has handed over a video tape to his lawyer, claiming it contains evidence pertaining to a RM100-million libel suit filed by Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim against him.
He handed over the tape to Datuk Seri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah about 2pm, at the Jalan Duta Court Complex here Monday.
"I have given the video tape to my lawyer as evidence in the libel suit. Whatever evidence I have, I have given it to my lawyer. I want them to open the video in court. Let the court decide," he said.
Nallakaruppan, however, refused to reveal the contents of the video tape, saying it was up to the court to decide on the matter.
He also maintained his stand that Anwar was a bisexual in nature. "I stand firm on my facts, I will not run away, I already gave the evidence to my lawyer. I am waiting to tell the truth in court," he said, adding that he wanted the case to be heard in court soon.
